Gah, I keep dragging things down.

Well, let's see -- I'm going up north for a few days, to do a bit of recording for fun. And then the husband is staying there for a couple of weeks, which will mean I have the place to myself. That'll be nice -- we've been cramped up together in the small, hot apartment for far too long. I like it when he's here for a month and then gone for a week or two. Gives me space. :D

Oh, and I found Milo's kitten pictures!

Waaa cute! I don't have any real pictures but this cat looks exactly like my Moufu.

And I've never had cherry dr. pepper, so I can't comment on that, haha

I once used some Dr. Pepper to clean all the scummy stuff out of my toilet.

... er, that's depressing again, isn't it?

Yeah, most cola products are really good at cleaning scum from bathroom fixtures.

It's because of how acidic it is for the most part.

Yup yup, that's what I heard. Still, it's the major reason I don't drink soda pop. :XD

Piffffff. Your stomach juices have a pH of 2. So once it gets down there, it's not like it is hurting anything, xD;

*snort* I'd never thought of that. Still, I don't like the feeling of them on my teeth.

Do you have sensitive teeth? Overall, they won't hurt teeth too much unless you sip them slowly. But it is also recommended that you do not brush your teeth right after drinking soda, as you can scrape off enamel if you aren't careful.

No, not pain. Just a nasty filmy overlay. And the sugar rush, even with "diet" sodas.

That's because artificial sweeteners trick your body into thinking you are eating real sugar, so you still get an insulin response anyway, -.-;

Ooh, are we showing cat pics? This is mine:

My friend who is taking care of my cat now actually took these pics within the duration I've been away so far. Luckily I'm able to trust her with taking care of my cat, because 1. She is the only friend I know and person I CAN trust, 2. She is my co-worker and our office building is only a 5 minute walk from my apartment, and 3. She owns two dogs herself and loves them to death, so she knows how I feel.

And on the note of soda, I am not a huge soda person but I do love my Ginger Ale. Now and then I will have the odd Coke, but I'm not like one of those who drink it every day. And I absolutely cannot STAND diet sodas.

Yay, another diet soda hater!! It just tastes... weird, doesn't it? Like, if I want sweet, I'll take regular old sugar, kthx. Besides, isn't it healthier to simply not get accustomed to sweet tastes?

What kind of ginger ale do you drink? Do you know Reed's Ginger Beer? MWAH, it really packs a punch.

Aww, your piccies are cute.

I so prefer my soda with real sugar. And I too hate diet sodas. The aftertaste is HORRIBLE. Why can't we just stick to the basic sugars? D: Just eat less if you really want the soda. Or work out more. Either way.

Heh. I've been trying to avoid sugars in general, as it helps keep my emotions balanced. I have a funky reaction to sugars, after a childhood spent overindulging too often.

I'm actually surprised I'm not screwed up. I think it's because I have hypoglycemia, (and not the pre-diabetic kind), so me having extra sugar isn't the end of the world!

I've never drank Ginger Beer before. I only drink one kind of Ginger Ale: Canadian Dry. I've never really experimented with any others...

And not only do diet sodas taste bad, but they are also super unhealthy. Sure, they can be a fine, occasional treat for those with certain conditions such as diabetes, or those trying to lose weight... but, otherwise, natural sugars are much more healthy by a long shot.

Know what I haven't had for a long time? MOUNTAIN DEW. I used to LOVE that stuff and drank it like water... maybe when I get back from my vacation, I will buy a pack!

I also love Jones. But that's more treat-like soda... and totally expensive. But scrumptious nevertheless.

But that stuff is made with real sugar! xD; You know you can actually make soda like that at home? It's a lot of fun, x3;
