I think it's just the new Doctor and his companion. The latest season is/already has come out on DVD. Supposedly it at: hmv London, 150 Oxford Street W1 <- Dae does not know England outside of its location on a world map.

I love how nobody even thinks of Chris Eccleston when they think of doctor who. So sad

(big ears FYI)

Ah, Oxford Street. That makes sense.
I recall a few years ago they had hand signed posters on offer during our local PBS station's Dr. Who pledge drive. They also had some lovely hand knitted Dr. Who scarves and knitted plushes that they were-legally-obligated-not-to-call-daleks-even-though-that's-exactly-what-they-were.

Zeapear: I know!

the antitwite: I'm actually going through his season now and making commentary on it as I go along.
Cardinal Biggles: I think I've heard of the scarves. Though I must admit, I'm fairly new to the Dr. Who world.

In my case that may be because David Tennant's Doctor has been there for three years of my short little life, when Christopher Eccleston was the Doctor I wasn't the huge fan that I am now, I only started that craze during Catherine Tate's run as companion. I have since seen all of his series but in my head David Tennant will always be the Doctor D:

Same I like matt smith, he didnt screw up as horribly as i thought he would, and i love amy pond.
But David Tennant was the true doctor, and his fangirls will never forget it

It's funny, I watched some of Doctor Who when Chris was the Doctor and when David Tennant took over I remember immediately hating him xD
(I did watch Doctor Who occasionally, my family liked it.)

For shame, Dae! xD

I remember when we saw the preview for David Tennant we went "What? That funny looking weedy git? Honestly?"
Then a couple of episodes later my whole family was giggling like lovesick fangirls everytime he made a quip :D

Dae I really hope you like him :) hes really enjoyable to watch, he has a great energy about him and hes funny as hell (as well as purdy)

Sometimes... paired with the idea of David Tennant himself, I think of Noel Fielding's remark during the 2008 live show:
Quote:
That weaselly looking Scottish bloke

zeapear: Can I claim being an American as an excuse? xD

the antitwite: Well, I'm going through the Eccleston season now. I bought it on Amazon OnDemand. Maybe I'll get up to the Tennant series soon. xD Though I have to admit, I'll probably be thinking "No, why is Barty Crouch Jr. here?!" .... >.>;;

Zeapear: We don't get BBC for free here. I was able to watch the most recent season On Demand through the cable.

I didn't like David Tennant at first too! I guess I was too young to pick up on how brooding and moody Eccleston was, so I saw that Doctor as a goofy, fun Doctor, so I got upset when he left and it took me a while to accept Tennant. Now I'm kind of the opposite, though. I have no problem with Tennant or Smith, but when I go back to an Eccleston episode I get pouty because he's no fun.

Also, has anyone else noticed the coincidence that is a man named Smith playing The Doctor?

I didn't like Tennant either at first. After few episodes my opinion was soon changed I thought the show was cancelled due to the fact I didn't know anything about Doctor Who then. My dad wouldn't even tell me what happened .:(

[Cherry] Yeah, when I went back and watched the entirety of Chris I kept on thinking 'I wish I could get back to watching David Tennant!' because he just bothered me, I found it boring D:

And not specifically, but I did notice that there have been a lot of 'Smith''s in Doctor Who >w>
(It was funny because in 'Death of the Doctor' Jo Jones and Sarah Jane Smith made 'Smith and Jones', as did Martha and the Doctor)

I thought of Eccleston's portrayal was fine. Part of the fun of the multiple doctors is it's not always static.
