the room was a nice reddish color with a white trim, Karin painted the room, while the guys made the rest of the things set up. "You wanting to test it out, so you can see what you sound like?" Karin asked. "The mic is over there.." She said pointing

"Eerr... Okay." SHe said with a nod. "Sounds good to me, I reckon." She headed over to the mike.

Karin messed with a few knobs and things, before she motioned for Sam to start singing when she felt like it.

Mark got up, and walked over by Karin. He watched from there, while Kaz took over the little chair.

She grinned and then let it rip.

Karin was surprised, but liked it. "Nice, you have any meanings to your song..might I ask?" She asked curiously.

Mark listened to the words, and was thinking. Was she singing about her parents, and him?, but he shrugged it off and just smiled at her.

"Mainly about certain family members who wanted me to never leave the farm."

Karin looked at her, and was thinking, 'she really must have not wanted to stay there..' She smiled, and said. "Well that turned out good, I will play it back.." She messed with a few things, and started playing the song right back again.

Mark was still looking at her. "Mainly your father right?" He asked. "Because he was the one that didn't want you to sing.." He added.

"More or less." SHe said dryly. "But he's gonna see I ain't just daddy's little girl no more."

"I just don't want you to get hurt because I have you, and I don't want you to be taken away.." Mark said looking at her in the eyes, and you could tell that he was starting to care for her, more than just a singer, and a friend.

She grinned. "Don't worry. Now that I've filed for emancipation, I should be fine. There'll be a hearin' on it, and if I can prove that I'll be able to take care of myself, I'll be free as a blackbird.

"Good, because I don't know what I would do if you went.." Mark said, not caring that Karin and Kaz were in the room. He just looked at her, and walked closer toward her.

That caught her good. She hadn't quite realized how close they'd become.

Mark placed his hands on her arms and just looked at her. "I kinda got my father mad at me, and all, but I knew that you could sing the first time I seen you, and I have grown to love that, and the fact that I am loveing you as well." HE could stop himself, but he was pouring his heart out to her, and she needed to know the truth.

"Well Kaz..lets get home, I am hungry now.." Karin said as she grabbed his arm and they left. "Talk you to two later." she said with a wave. She knew that they would want some peace and quiet by themselves.

Her face took on a gentle rosen hue. "That means more than you can ever know for me. It really does." She said softly with a gentle smile.

"Good, because it's the truth, and I want nothing but the best for you.." Mark said and hugged her. He was glad that she was here for him, and that HE brought her back with him instead of taking her back to the farm when he suggested it.

She smiled up at him, those big blue eyes as bright as jeweles. "Thank you so much. You're really the best. You're good to me, and so kind and sweet." She said happily. She rested her head on his chest, content to stand there in his arms for as long as she could.

Mark held her there, and placed his head kinda on hers as thay stood there. He was liking every time they did anything, and was just hoping that it could last a long time, but he knew that his father would bring himself into this at some point

A bit later, she looked up at him. "Well. What should we do next?" She asked softly. It was obvious she was in a wonderful mood.

"Well, they left, so let me just save your song, then we can go back up..of if you want we can go for a bite.." Mark suggested as he walked to the computer, and saves her song in a file under her name. HE logged off, and turned back toward her, waiting for the answer.

"Sounds good to me." She said with a smile.

"Alright, let go..where you wanting to eat?" Mark asked looked at her, and offering her his hand. They had to go up to get his bike anyway, but that wasn't a problem.

"Uhm... Where do you sugguest? I don't know the area well enough yet to know what's all here."

True.." Mark said not realizing that. "Sorry..we have to get my bike, then we can get going.." he said and walked toward the elevator, and locked the door after them.

"It's okay!" She said with a smile. "I'm patient."

They went back up one level, and Mark backed the bike back into the elevator. Handing her, her helmet and he got on. "I hope you like this place..its good.." he said with a smile.
