Watching the elf carefully the drow stood there stoically then when the elf finally asked the million dollar question a slight smile grew upon his lips, "how would you feel if I told you that my mission was originally to kill you?" He pulled the folder out of his cloak and handed it to weapons master. " I have already recruited Ivy to my cause and before you go ranting on about her as she did about you let me say that she did agree to work peacefully with you." He walked over to a nearby wall and posted up against it and folded his arms across his chest as usual then he scanned his newest friend or foe once more then said, "Cain wants you dead and though I am not working for him any longer I will kill you if you do not join me so one way or another this is a lose lose situation for you. Still, it is not my intention to kill a man of your talents without at least trying to make you see reason... but as I said before I will not hesitate to kill you if you leave me with no other choice. The way I see it is, if you're not with me, you're with Cain and I won't allow that. All of them will die and so will you if you don't want to help bring him down and besides he wants you dead so even if you don't join me and I don't kill you, if we fail he will come after you until you are dead." His face and voice were both emotionless as he looked at the elf standing before him. He had not lied to him, one way or another he would end up dead if he didn't want to help him he just hoped he would...

Nalfien met Areyse's gaze until there was silence. The only movement was made by a slight breeze outside as the windblown flurries of light snow swirled about. The weapons master finally closed his eyes.
"I knew he would want me dead sooner or later," the elf said, pushing the folder back to the assassin. He hadn't even looked inside of it. "I believe you. And I think it would be wise if I joined your cause."
Nalfien motioned to the gently burning fire in the hearth. "Stay and warm yourself, drow. The wind is rousing a bit more ice from the earth."

Areyse took the folder and said, "Glad we agree," then whispered to himself, "Usstan phlith darthien." Then forcing himself from his position on the wall the assassin went and sat down by the fire for a moment then without looking at the elf said, "We are all currently staying at Ivy's manor, I think it would be wise for you to join us. You two may not get along the best and I understand she is a difficult woman to work with at time yet she is a generous host. We should head back there as soon as possible so that I can prepare to get my last piece of this puzzle before I do some reconnaissance in the city." His voice was steady and stoic as it had been through the entire conversation. He waited silently thinking of how Ivy and Selene were getting along hoping they could bring some of the nobles to join their cause. He figured all would not join because many feared what Cain may do but whatever they could muster he would gladly take.

(Geeze guys! I'm so terrible for you. I'll sync up with y'all at some point. I want to know if it's alright if I change which account I post to this RP on since this has quickly become my mule.)

Darius pulled himself up the stairs after Veata, with Rae close behind. When they reached the top floor he had to bend at the waist and neck to keep from bumping into the beams. It was definitely not meant to be a meeting place between adults, this place, but that was for the best. The less people who were around to hear this now, the better.

"Cain. We're not going to put it off any longer. Whoever you know who wants him dead, we need them to swear to us their part. We need a plan, Veata, and we need action." Darius rubbed his eyes, trying to ignore their sleepless-sting. "Atticus will not be joining us. Who do you have that will?"

The man sat himself down on a crate, leaving room for Rae, should she want it. He wasn't ignorant of the fact that she had also stayed up the entire night while he fretted about the fate of his old friendship. "Firefly here is aching to go after him."

"Mmm," Nalfien stood beside Areyse, his smooth face drawing into a gentle frown. "Ivy. A loud woman, at best." The elf nodded. "It would be best if we all gathered. Cain has eyes everywhere - he will know of your motives soon enough."
The weapons master turned and headed over to a shelf, pulling something off of it and slipping it into his belt. "I will go to Ivy soon. You are free to stay as long as you need, dark elf. My home is open to my friends."
Flitting about the house, the elf was soon ready to leave.
"Alluveh. . . farewell, drow." Nalfien nodded, his brown eyes blinking slowly in respect. "I look forward to fighting at your side."

"Like this?"
"No! You're doing it wrong again."
Selene drooped. "Cahn we stop for a few minutes? I'm tired."
Ivy shook her head, visciously snapping her fingers. "No. Do it again."
The fiery-haired noble sighed, wiping her hands on her skirt before taking up her feathered pen once more. "Dear Random Noble," she said in a sarcastic tone. "I hope you'll help me with my fight against the worst evil on the planet. Thank you for your time and patience. Help. Selene."
Ivy's eyes narrowed, and she scoffed. "You can't do it, can you?"
"Not ahfter I've been at it for hours," Selene sighed. "Can I at least change before we go out?"
"No. We're delivering these letters ourselves." Ivy scribbled a signature on one of the documents, her temper getting the best of her and making a large blotch on the parchment. "Argh, just get them gathered and throw on your cloak. We're leaving in two minutes."
The angered mistress stepped loudly over to grab her own cloak, grumbling under her breath. It had been a long day - Selene wasn't the most lasting individual ever, she broke under most pressure, and couldn't keep at a task for long hours. Ivy was a cruel task master, and pushed the young noble to keep at something - past the breaking point. But, in the end, Ivy smiled in satisfaction at her work. She had gotten Selene to wear something she never would have before - a low-cut, form-hugging tunic and a pair of leggings with high boots. This was a show of how much Ivy's influence had grown over the woman - Selene would never have worn such clothing without being pushed.
Stepping over to the door, Ivy called out for her charge. "Selene! Grab the letters and lets go, you slug!"
The second thing that Ivy was proud of was getting Selene to start communicating with a few of the other nobles in the city. By far, none of them were brave enough to do anything against Cain, but Ivy knew there was someone. They just had to keep at it.
The two women stepped out into the light snowfall around noon. By the end of the day, they had more than four other allies. It had turned out far more fruitful a day than Ivy had thought possible.

Atticus watched the group head into the church. His gray eyes followed the building's structure until he found a niche up near the top. Perhaps that was where they were going? Slipping around to the back of the church, the half-elf swiftly climbed up, slipping into an open window. There, below him, the group headed for a staircase. They were going to the upper-most part of the building: a small attic-like hole that they might be able to fit into.
The assassin waited for them to go up the stairs before dropping into the middle of the room, quietly stalking up to the staircase. Tilting his head, the half-elf listened. Perhaps his sensitive hearing would pick up on something going on upstairs.
When he heard nothing but murmurs, Atticus climbed farther up the stairs, stopping near the top, but remaining unseen. Where they talking about Cain? Gritting his teeth, the assassin settled down, listening to the quiet conversation going on above him.

((Kinda figured it was time to stick Atticus back into this. :P If you find him listening, then so be it. If not, I'll send him back to Dae. Either way, I'm trying to get everyone back into play again. LOL))

[Ok, I gots internetz so I got back on sooner than I thoughtsssssssss.....]

"At this point I only found one other but he may know other people as well. For now, we need to gather information on Cain, what he will be doing over the next few days, where he will be, his whole schedule. We need to find a time when he'll be out of the guild. There's something I need to get before we can strike at him directly, otherwise, I won't be much help to anyone. If he does leave the guild, we'll be making a distraction to get his cronies out of the guild for a while." she paused and looked over towards the stairs. She thought she heard something but it seems like it was just the church goers down below.

Veata continued but lowered her voice even more, if that was possible, and kept an ear out for anything else. "Our friend will be searching the whole guild for my stone while we keep the goons occupied. Though how we'll do it, I'm not sure. But one thing's for sure, I wouldn't mind putting a few of them out of commission for a while. It'll make things easier for us if Cain didn't have any backup when we fight him." Veata looked at the two with an eager look in her eyes and a grin.

"In the meantime, you two should get some rest while I deliver my latest mission." the djinn said, holding up the bloody weapon. "The both of you look tired. Especially you," she poked the tired Darius on the forehead, "you look deader than a ghoul. We have to keep our strengths up, you know that right? Cain has spies everywhere so you need to keep yourselves sharp."

Watching the elf leave, Areyse sat there in next to the fire debating what his next course of action should be. It hadn't been hard to convince Nalfien to join them in their quest to rid this world of Cain and now he had a choice to make. Should he go ahead and try to convince Sieg or should he return and check on the progress the two ladies have had today? He remembered that he had promised Selene that he would return when he was finished but as the elf had told him earlier, it was a race against time since it wouldn't be long before Cain caught on to him if he already hadn't. Still he had made a promise to Selene and so he would keep his word. After taking a few minutes to deliberate the drow finally made up his mind to return to Ivy's house though not for long especially since he had to make this last trip quick.

The elf made his way through the forest back to the city then to the slums where Ivy's house was located he knocked on the door and was let in by one of the maids. Walking in he made his way to the area where they had discussed his plans earlier this afternoon. It seemed that he and Nalfien had beaten the ladies home seeing as the elf was also in the room drinking a cup of tea. He didn't even raise his eyes to see who else had entered the room but the drow was sure he knew. Taking a seat across from the weapons master, Areyse crossed his arms across his chest and closed his eyes waiting on the two women to arrive.

"Nalfien!" Ivy's booming voice didn't startle the elf, but he set his cup of tea down slowly as though expecting something. Glancing up, the weapon master was engulfed in a suffocating hug. "It's been years, you silly elf!"
The elf didn't react, but shifted slightly. "Peaceful years," Nalfien replied.
Ivy ended the false moment by smacking the man's head with a handful of papers. "It's good to see that you're both here already. We have had a good day, riddled with disappoinments - such as seeing you."
Selene walked past the large woman, giving her a slight shove. "Be nice," she hissed under her breath, nodding politely to Nalfien, who nodded in return.
Stepping behind Areyse's chair, she leaned down and whispered in his ear. "She's a very pleasant woman to be around. This is the best she's been all day!" Casting her bright green eyes over to Ivy as she sat herself in Nalfien's lap, Selene shook her head. "That woman doesn't ask anything. Everything she says is a demand or a threat!" The young woman moved to sit beside the assassin, sighing in relief. "This is the first time I've sat in hours."
From her perch on the elf's lap, Ivy smiled. "But you have figured out how to win others to your side in a time of peril. Good girl." Her brown eyes then turned back to Nalfien, who sat silently without showing his emotions - beyond the lightest dusting of a blush on his features. "I'm sure everyone will be happy to hear that we have a few new allies amongst the nobles. Our weaponry and supplies will be provided to us, and there are a few buildings that we can use for housing the random . . . individuals of our party. I don't wish for all of you to be staying in my home." She cast a coy glance to Nalfien. "Except you three, of course."
Selene slipped her hand, which was still cold from being outside, into Areyse's. "I'm glad you came back so quickly. I needed a bit of hope amongst Ivy's cruelness." She sighed and moved to lean against his chair, looking into the assassin's face.

A little taken aback by Ivy's initial reaction to Nalfien but then soon quickly realized it was a front. The drow sat there and watched the theatrics of the two former guild-mates with a satisfied look on his face. He understood that they respected each other and that this was actually a nice reunion for the two. Letting that satisfaction show on his lips the drow said, "It's good that you two seem to be getting along but I am more excited that you two ladies were successful today. Gaining the support of the noble's was a vital task." Listening to the whispers in his ear Areyse turned to face the woman whom had been the key to gaining the noble's support, but what he saw was a bit shocking. She was dressed in something that seemed more of Ivy's style but he had to admit it looked exquisite on her. His skin was too dark to blush but the drow immediately looked down into his fiddling hands when he realized the thoughts that were fumbling around in his head, that was before she slid her hand into his. Then he shook out the fluttering feeling in his stomach and faced the woman once more, "You did wonderful today... thank you for your help." He couldn't help but feel this strange urge in his body towards Selene but he hadn't intended on staying long anyway. The drow took her hand and pulled the female into his strong arms, "I made you a promise didn't I?" The voice of the assassin was majestic and soothing as he spoke softly to the girl. He gave her a gentle hug then said, "I'm sorry I can't stay longer but I have one more person I need to get in touch with before Cain tries to take him out before I get to him." And with those words the elf sat the woman back into the chair and began to make his way out of the room.

His hug made a blush of her own spread across her fair cheeks, and the noble ducked her head into his chest. Selene smiled up at Areyse as he stood, settling into his empty chair. "Be safe," she said as he left.
Ivy snorted, leaning an elbow onto Nalfien's shoulder - much to his disdain. "No, be stupid. Of course he'll be safe!"
The red-headed youth sighed loudly, shaking her head. "See you when you return," she called after the assassin. Ivy's reply to her words was a mumble that made Selene gasp. The two of them were like old friends - bickering constantly when there wasn't someone between them. Nalfien obviously didn't count.

((Alright, so the last person you're going after, Sieg, will be in the guard's barracks- which, might I add, has recently been taken over by Cain. >.>' We'll see what happens when you get there, eh?))

Walking out of the house the assassin threw his hood back on and tossed up a hand signalling that he had heardthe girl ten he prepared for what was most likely going to be his most dangerous trip of all. He somehow needed to get to the guard's barracks where his last contact would be found but it would be difficult since Cain had recently taken over it. If he was already aware that the drow had betrayed him he would no doubt have alerted all his guards to his possible presence, but the question was would he want him dead or alive? For an occassion such as this the assassin had prepared a special weapon, thin steel wires. He wrapped the wires alog his arms and intertwined them to his fingers for easy access and usage. To an untrained eye they would look like thread and appear harmless but in the hands of a skilled assassin the wires were extremely dangerous. Deciding that he needed nothing else he stepped into the darkness of the night and made his way over to the barracks. Once he arrived he hid in an alley across the street and decided to observe for a bit to see if he could find a way in unnoticed. There wasn't a great amount of activity going on but it probably meant that most of them had settled in for the night.

Daeman woke up from her sleep and hissed in pain. She hadnt taken care of her wounds as well as she couldve but it was time she ate something. That and Cain would be sending another mission her way. She had to do something to look some what presentable to him. She took the bandage from around her chest and stomach, throwing it into a waste basket. She took a needle with thread and started to stitch up some of her wounds on her arm. She rewrapped her wounds and grabbed some left over food to eat. Wow i must have slept a while.

((Lol i thought i might just do something really quickly))

((Hehe, understood. I'll get Atticus back to you soon. I just want him to listen in for a bit. :P))

A trio of armored guards made their way into the barracks quietly, whispering amongst themselves.
"Something's wrong."
"You say that every night!"
"I know, but it's not just the night. It's the captain. Why the sudden change? Avoiding certain areas of the city isn't something we've had to do before. Why now?"
The second voice seemed to pause for a moment. "It's not our place to question it. Just get some sleep."
Sieg listened to his two companions, but stayed silent. He preffered to keep his thoughts to himself. Glancing about the darkened room full of various bunks, the armored man narrowed his eyes. The first man of the group was right - there was something wrong. He felt like a mouse where an owl flies nearby - watched, heard, and inferior.
"Get some sleep, Sieg," one of the men said, shirking his heavy armor. "Lord knows we all need it. Even you."
The large man nodded once, slipping his boots off to place them next to his bed.
"See you in the morning."
Sieg stayed silent, and didn't reply. Instead, he set his pieces of protection near the foot of his bed, sighing as he fell back onto the bunk. By all means, he wished he could be the one out patrolling the wall right now. Anything but this stagnant wait for sleep. But the others were right - no one knew what the captain would have them doing the following day.
Closing his eyes, Sieg let out a long breath. Sadly, sleep seemed to be rather evasive that night.
Hours later, when nothing withing the bunk house moved, the guard got out of bed and grabbed his cloak. It was another one of those nights - a time when he was too restless to sleep. They had been haunting him for many weeks, increasingly so. Moving to stand in front of the building, Sieg sat beside the door, looking up at the full moon. He was rather surprised when sleep sprang upon him, dragging him down into it's depths quickly.

Finally deciding that he had waited long enough the drow readied his new weapon. He hadn't used the wires many times before but he was quite skilled with them though he was no where near ready to declare himself a master. Figuring it would be best to kill off the patrols of the towers, he knew he only had one shot at each of them facing his direction. Any noise they made would raise suspicion and cause a panic which was exactly what he wanted to avoid. Facing the man in the tower to his left from the alley Areyse launched a throwing knife at his neck successfully killing him then followed suit with the other tower guard. Then sticking to the shadows as best he could he made his way to an alleyway in between the buildings, taking out a few patrols along the way. Oddly enough once he peaked around the corner there was a guard sitting there seemingly asleep in front of one of the doorways. The assassin inspected the armored man and noticed that it was Sieg. Immediately he rushed over to the man and released the wires from his right hand effectively wrapping them around the man's neck and placed his free hand over his mouth, "I need you to come with me and stay quite unless you want to be killed." Then he dragged the man to the alley where he had sprang from.

((*shudder* Good little assassin. *pats Marsyas' head*))

Sieg was pulled from sleep by a stranger, and he stiffened, but complied with the man's wishes. Still drawing himself out of the bleariness of sleep, the thick man brushed the elf's hand away from his mouth. Staying quiet might be a way to get himself killed - then again, making noise was a sure way of doing so. Sieg chose to keep his mouth shut.
When they were in the alley, the guard fought the urge to slam the lithe figure behind him into the wall next to them, but resisted. The weapon about his neck was a bit more pressing than an urge; it slightly cut into his skin, drawing a thin line of blood . . . like a silent threat.
"Who are you?" Sieg asked in a hushed voice when they were hidden away from all other's sight. Though his back was still to his attacker, the blond man was keenly aware of every movement Areyse made. "What do you want?"

((Being an assassin is what I do... You of all people should know this by now *grins wide*))

Not letting go of the wires that gripped the man's neck like a collar the assassin whispered quickly, "My name is Areyse and I came here to ask you to join me against Cain." Getting right to the point the drow said, "Look I my original mission was to kill you and two others but I convinced them to join me against him and now I'm asking you. If you say no, you die here and now. If you say yes, you will be my eyes and ears from this post. Cain has control of this area now and will no doubt be sending info this way. All you have to do is gather as much as you can and report it to me. I will send you unmarked letters stating our meeting place and we will meet at dusk in that location. Being that you were a spy this should be an easy job for you... Do we have a deal, Seig?" His voice was sinister as he asked the question then he pulled the wire a bit tighter around the man's neck drawing more blood and sending him a message that if he were to decline he would surely die.

((That is what you call, aggressive negotiation LOL))

((*laugh* Yes, I'd say so. Aggressive is what drow are good at, I must say. :D Not to mention the assassin part of things.))

The tightening of the wire resulted in a hiss of pain from the man. A few different emotions passed through his eyes, and Sieg licked his lips before replying. "Cain has taken us over," he said slowly. "And you offer a way out of it. I would be a . . . fool not to accept."

((Now to start working on the bad guys to equal out this good stuff . .. lol, they're totally outnumbered at teh moment.))

((Haha glad you agree *winks*))

The drow released the wire and whispered in Sieg's ear, "Smart, and possibly good man. Now nothing happened tonight, go about your business as usual." Then as quickly as he came he left and made his way back to the house that would be sheltering him and his new set of "comrades" for the moment.

Sieg shuddered, breathing a long breath out into the frigid air. Reaching up to rub the blood away from his throat, he pulled his cloak up to cover the shallow wound. No need to explain where it came from; it needed to stay hidden.
Stepping back out of the alley, the large man glanced about him before heading back to the barracks. Perhaps it was time to sleep indoors. . . .

"Why do you keep doing that?" Ivy's irritated voice brought Selene back to the present, again, as she leaned against the window's wooden frame. "It's driving me crazy!"
Selene frowned at the woman. "I'm sorry, but I cahn't help wonder if he's coming bahck sooner or later."
"Well, wonder silently!" Ivy brushed her shaggy hair away from her face in frustration, crossing her legs and shoving her nose further into her book. "Enough with the sighing and mumbling. You sound like a nutter!"
The red-head smiled grimly, turning her attention back out to the light snowfall. After a few moments of silence, the young noble looked over to Nalfien. The elf sat in the farthest corner of the room, re-braiding his long crimson hair quietly. "Is she always like this?" Selene whispered, moving to sit near the warrior.
Nalfien's response was a flicker of his eyes, glancing over to where Ivy sat with an angry expression, bouncing her leg in anoyance. There was no doubt she could hear them - one just had to wonder if she was listening.
Selene smiled a bit when Nalfien subtly nodded once, finishing his task in silence.
"Oh," she said, "I bet it gets fahr worse for you, yes?"
The weapon master's brown gaze met hers, and again he nodded once. Much worse.
With a sigh, the young woman stood and brushed a bit of dirt off of her leggings. Stepping back over to the window to await Areyse's return, she rested her forehead on the cold glass. It was hard to carry on a conversation with a silent man.

Just as Selene went to rest back on the window the drow entered the room, "It's done. We now have a spy in the barracks." He went and immediately sat down in his usual spot and waited for the young lady to join him, as he knew she would. He glanced over at Nalfien who was as stoic as ever then at Ivy who seemed to be a little irritated at a moment. Then he turned his attention to the female who occupied his time when he wasn't "working" and gave her a welcoming smile, "Did you miss me?"

[Looks like the SelAre team are already at nighttime...RaVeDa are still somewhere around noon along with team DaeAtt....we need to catch up  Ummm...Raeillieagh, I'll just say that your char already told Veata her name, just put it somewhere in your next post. I don't want to keep calling Rae by her descriptions or to keep calling her kid. And I don't mind if you'll be using another account, Free. But you might want to ask Esmme about it :)]

"We should keep looking for more allies while we lay low. If you're friend Atticus won't help us, ask your other friends. You too Rae." whispered Veata as she cautiously ducked under a low hanging beam. She walked over to the stairs and looked down. Not a soul was using it, but she was now sure that there was someone who had been eavesdropping. Her eyes moved about the chapel, searching for any signs of suspicious shadows but found none. This could be a problem. If it was a spy for Cain, they would have to change plans. For now the spearwoman hoped that whoever it was didn't get to hear much and had already left. She looked back at her companions and approached them.

"Let's meet again tonight," she whispered, keeping her head close to theirs. "In the alley by the opera house. We may have been heard so think of a plan B, and maybe C, by that time. Feel free to bring some good news. If you find that you won't be able to make it, send someone in your stead to say so."

Veata gave Darius and Rae a pat on their shoulders before heading down the stairs and out the wooden doors. Light tiny fluffs of snow had begun to fall on the sprawling town and the air had gotten even colder than the night before, now biting at the djinn's nose. She quickly made her way back to headquarters which began to look more and more inviting every minute. The warmth of the building immediately began to melt any icy particles that had fallen on the woman who walked down the halls of its interior towards the guild master's office. Nostalgia began seeping into her mind as she stared at the heavy framed door. Many a time she'd burst through it after coming home from a mission, eager to grab her pay or to complain. Now would be the first in a long time that she simply walked in. To her surprise, the man she was looking for was not inside. Veata glanced behind her to see if any of the guards were looking her way. She grinned at the fact that they were busy losing a card game with one of the swindlers of the guild. Quietly she shut the door and began looking around for the heartstone. But she already knew chances were slim that it would actually be here. By the end of her quick search, she stood staring at the front of the empty desk, the room as it was when she entered. At least she would not leave empty handed. The djinn pocketed two ornate necklaces, one belonged to Cloud Whisper and the other to Snow. She would return these to her friends at their graves later on. For now, her goal was receiving her pay.
"Hey, where's Cain?" she called out to the disgruntled guards at the gambling table after exiting the room.

((LOL, only because you helped it along. *chuckle* He could have been seen . . . but he wasn't. Muahahah!!))

Cain slipped past his busy guards, sighing in annoyance when they failed to notice his passing. The guild leader went straight to Daeman's room, knocking once before entering. "This is for you," he said to her, handing the woman a folder. "I want you to help you allies. Atticus seems to be struggling, though he won't admit it. Aid him."
Brushing the white hair from his face, the man narrowed his eyes.
"I want this done by the end of the week. Atticus is your partner; get it done."
With those words, he left.

Someone knew he was watching. Atticus heard one of the trio move toward the stairs, and immediately moved back down into the main area of the church. With his non-descript gray cloak, he looked like one of the church-goers, and was able to slip out of a side door easily. Heading back to the guild, the half-elf let his thoughts dwell on Veata and Darius, as well as the young Rae. It was now his job to kill them all off. Cain's orders were to get rid of his opposers - and his once-friends were now his enemy.
Slipping into the guild, the assassin passed his room. He needed to talk. The only person he could talk with was Daeman, who he assumed was in her room. Stepping up to her door, he hesitated before knocking softly. He rarely spoke of such things, but perhaps Dae would help him stay with his decision to aid Cain.

Selene stepped over to Areyse, beaming a smile at him. "Another success then. Things are starting to look up now." She sat beside the dark elf, her pale hand flickering to his cheek. "You're cold," she commented. Stroking his black skin. Her words caused Ivy to snort in laughter, dropping her book into her lap. Nalfien's brown eyes took everything in, but he resumed his former action - which was now sharpening a few small blades.
Selene glared over to Ivy, her green eyes blazing. "Oh, hush!" she growled. To make her statement clear - that she cared about her friend - the noble took his hands in hers, blowing on them a bit. "He's cold. I was just saying as much."
Ivy chuckled again, her shoulder shaking in laughter. "Sure, hun. You keep telling yourself that."

Areyse nodded in response to her words then returned her smile with one of his own and welcomed her warm touch. The drow closed his eyes as he was tired from the day of recruiting he had done. There had been much travelling done this day and he was glad to finally have a chance to rest his muscles. He knew he needed to get the letter sent off to his new contact so that he would knew where to meet him but that could wait until he had rested for a bit. Opening his eyes he looked over at Selene who was now leaning on him again as usual and let a small grin show on his lips.
