How long will it take you to finish, do you guess?

well im almost done actually. maybe another half hour. this is just the piece work though. i still have to cut out the backing and then layer the backing with the stuffing and the top. then baste that together so it doesnt move, then i have to do all the quilt work on top. the quilting is actually the most time consuming. that will be like 5+ hours.

Wow, bloodstainedwings you sound like a seasoned quilt-maker! How many quilts have you made before, if you don't mind my asking? because you sound and talk like an expert 8D

yeah... im finished sewing the top, ill post it in the next post.

but yeah i have made... ujmm... 8 quilts so far. but i have 4 to make before september. so that number is going to rise quickly. this one is for a co-worker. my whole workplace pooled together to buy the supplies. im donating my time basically.

Wow, that is nice of them to help with buying the supplies! Who are the 4 quilts for that you have to make before September?

this one is for a coworker, the next one is for one of my boyfriends friends. the other is for our friends. and then the last one is for my sister.

thanks. the back is going to probably just be white... but i might put a stripe of that blue... or... i dont know... i might do something crazy... you never know with me. lol. i hate left overs... so i might just try to use them up on the other side of the quilt.

That's the great thing about quilts, too -- that you can incorporate some of your scraps from other projects ^_^ I know I would do that

the one i showed you yesterday with the winnie the pooh fabric, that was all left overs except for the grey and the honeycombs.

well i have a funeral to go to tomorrow. and work all week. and then wednesday i have a sewing date with my mother in law. i have a cape to sew... might do that later today. a vest i wanna take apart and resew back together slightly bigger.... and a pair of pants that need to be expanded.

Aww whose funeral are you attending, if you do not mind my asking? And wow, that sounds like a lot of crafting projects you are getting done these next few weeks in addition to the quilt making! Yes I have busy weeks every week technically but I have been procrastinating...I really should stop doing that and be more productive ^_^;

what are you working on? i always have projects on the go. they just pile up....

I do, in little chunks. I focus focus focus on studying and then play a bit, then focus focus focus, and then play a bit again.
