I didn't believe in him anymore when I was little but I have a sister who's 7 years younger than me so I kept up the facade to keep getting "santa" presents, cause they are always the best. And I would go to great lengths each year to convince her that he was real XD

On the other hand, my 6 year old daughter has issued an ultimatum to santa saying that she wants a butterfly backpack, covered in different colored butterflys, all the colors of the rainbow and a matching fower lunch box that clips on to the backpack. The santa was like, "Oh, have you seen this before?" And she says, "No. But if santa is real, then his elves can make it for me."

...

Darn Lisa Frank doesn't make stuff anymore or else it would have been perfect! :gonk:

haha your daughter is hilarious zephi... how in the world are you going to find something like that? or did you? the boys just wrote Santa a letter this year, as our "santa workshop" burned down in a fire. :( but they just ask for stuff they see at the store. i think they'll be pretty happy. my dad bought them a lot of toys. planning on making cookies tomorrow night. :)

Well I looked and found some really nice backpacks actually and flower shaped lunch boxes. But the backpacks were 60 bucks each. LIKE... seriously!? :O Yes. 60. Ridiculous! So my mom had said that she was already planning to just give her a letter from "santa" that says that she had asked too many details and the elves couldn't do it or couldn't remember what she wanted. But either way, I think that she's gonna figure it out. She'll be 7 in Jan.. so.. :( this might be the year that santa dies :gonk:

Oh yay! Cookies! I have to make some rice crispy treats... I have been putting it off cause the big pot I need to make it is being used by some left over stuff.

Aww that could work though! or maybe the elves got really busy and they'll try harder next year? gosh that's expenisve! why is everything costing so much these days? we spent like 200 dollars on stuff for the boys. crazy.

ohh yummy! haha just wash the pot already!! LOL!! just kidding, i'm like that too.

Yeah, no kidding! Crazy for just a backpack, but I guess it's some kind of special, laptop carrying backpack with super awesome straps and so on.. Still... 60... crazy. I spent >.> at least 200 on each of our kids <.< talk about spoiled. Got Amina a nintendo 3DS and pokemon stuff, and Emma got all Yo gabba gabba stuff, like the bed set, 2 of the plushies and a stand up crayola easle, oh and hubby got her a power wheels jeep... <.< Mega ultra spoiled kids. Makes it a little bit tight to get our plane tickets and rental and everything next month but since we won't really have to buy anything else, it's good

Yes, that's her plan. She says that she's not ready to give up Santa Claus yet. I'm not really ready either, but Amina is just too smart to be tricked, and I'm sure some kid in her class is gonna spill the beans and break people's hearts when they don't get what they want for Christmas.

i remember i was eight when my friend called me stupid for believing in Santa still.
but i was convinced he was real.
my father is not a giver so i 'knew' there had to be a Santa!
i came home crying and really heart broken.
i just knew if it was my father then i would get nothing.
they pulled it off one more year.....
hope you get one more year of the Santa spirit!

Well, to some degree he is. I mean, the actual person was real, and was quite an amazing saint. I think it's a great feeling that the idea conveys so I don't see the problem in it. It's just the super spoiled, mean kids that use it to benefit themselves and ruin things for other people.

I hope that I can get more than one more year of Santa spirit :gonk: I'm not even going to be there this year either. Last year I was deployed, the 2 years before that I was stuck in korea. So it's been a while since I've had Christmas with her. And last time I was there for her birthday was for her 3rd B-day :( Stupid army ruins everything :illgetu:

Zephi: my mom says why not get a backpack and get some stickers of butterflies she wants, or make some fabric ones and sew them to the bag. then she wouldn't be disappointed. :)

Well, I'm not sure what my mom worked out. I'll have to call her when she gets off work.... in another 7 hours @_@ Time zones suck in this perspective. But, she should be happy with what she gets anyway and... I dunno. Hopefully something will work out. She does like stickers and drawing like MAD. That's all she does most of the time XD Mom doesn't have time for sewing anymore :( If I were there I coulda done it for sure. I don't think the package that we sent out from ehre is even going to make it there in time. I mean, today is pretty much the last day for it to arrive *bites nails*

But, you remember the Lisa Frank stuff, right? That would have been perfect.

she's an artist!
i love stickers too.
you could have her decorate.
maybe some fabric appliques?
instead of ironing them on just hot or cold glue gun them one?
tell her Santa wanted her to be happy with her own design.

yeah i remember Lisa Frank! they stopped making stuff? or what if you get a backpack and leave a note saying the elves were too busy but she can decorate it herself. :) like with the stickers or maybe she could draw her own butterflies and pin them on? too bad we hadn't thought of it sooner, maybe i could have sewed her some. trying to get into sewing. :)

guess i better get started on cleaning the house. father in law is coming over tomorrow so he can give the boys their gifts. :P wish he'd just let us go to their freakin house! that's only thing about having a house, everyone wants to come to ours cuz it's bigger than theirs. and then father in law complains about the cats, well if you don't like them, then let us go to your house! :illgetu: *end rant*

but anyways i better get the house cleaned up. :P toodles!

I finally talked to him last night! Now I'm just waiting for him to get on. It was a short talk because I had to go to bed. I'm twenty-two years old and I have to go to bed at 10:00 PM. -__-

i'd rather cat butt than cat tail in my freshly brewed tea!
i have a jumbo tea cup and she thinks it's a bowl for her to drink out of
and i keep saying, 'no!'
so now she is trying to get her tail in it so i'll give it up to her!
this kittie is too smart for her own good.
*goes to get her reindeer for hire tee-shirt*
