Well, a secret a friend of my Dad's told him (and he passed on to me), to get wlamart interested in you: you have to have open availability. I tried and I had an interview with a month! That comes from his friend who works at walmart.

The Wal-Mart by me only wants people with a completely open schedule I don't have one because of college. K-Mart only wants part time cashiers and that works perfectly with me, but they are being buts and not calling me for an interview.

When they are desperate, the places will bite. But a lot of places like Wal-Mart and McDonalds don't like to give set schedules except to senior employees. So they like to have someone available at any time. And they like to have people who can be on call in case someone randomly calls out XD

I've always put open availability on my applications even if it meant working over night XD Luckily I never had to work past 1 AM XD

Now that I'm a teacher, I have a set schedule for the most part XD

I don't think my local grocery store really cares about your availability as long as you work weekends and holidays.

<_< I'm planning on being out of there before Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Yep, you have to be open. I'm surprised they have multiple employees and don't just try to ave one man run a whole walmart...I mean what other point is there to open availability! xD

i've worked 2200-0400 as a stocker
i loved it
until i saw the janitor put on panties and bras under his uni

Kroger (grocery store) also called me, but I blew by being apprehensive about working weeks ends, and culvers (restaurant), freaked them out cause I was to up fron with how many places I applied to! lo. I can't win!l

Seriously, it makes more sense for them to have one person run it then how many people they do have running it for what little they can, then set their expectations up so high that no one else can get a friggen job

Are ya guys paying attention to these fast food joints wanting/encouraging college student to work for them and ask people if they want fries with that!?! lol

I even tried to go for a Subway job but once again I wasn't good enough! I want to just people need to open their eyes but that would solve too many problems.
