Yeah... I've been living with cats for 7 years... Nothing has changed, thought now I don't let them in my room so that I'm not sneezing and itching all the time when I go to sleep and stuff.

I don't want to be allergic though!

I'm good on peanuts...it's tree nuts I need to look out for. It's doubly weird because the level of reaction I have to each nut is different. Walnuts, those guys are "HOLY SHIT! CALL AN AMBULANCE!" Cashews, on the other hand...hardly anything. I'd probably need to eat half a can to need any help...not like I'm going to test that theory, though!

I just recently developed an allergy to kiwi, however, within these last few years. Up until my senior year in high school, I was fine and would eat them like candy when given a chance. Then, all of a sudden and all at once, I eat a kiwi and BOOM! It's like I ate a walnut. So now I'm more than a little irritated at my body for telling me that it hates one of my favorite fruits.

I've been trying to test that allergy at different intervals, with kiwi from different stores, but no luck. It's an all-around allergy to the fruit.

It is unfortunate that some people develop allergies to foods they were able to eat with no problems for years. I knew of one person who developed allergies to gluten and bananas...she had told me that she starts feeling uncomfortable if a banana is close by...not even physically touching...

I have a co-worker that will go crazy when she smells bananas in the room. Whom is allergic to bananas as well.
