Amane wanted me to tell you how sage smudges work??
It's basically a little stick of dried sage (usually white sage or some other type of special sage) and you light it on fire... the smoke will purify the air around you and help get rid of evil spirits. :)
You just wave the smudge stick around you, and around the room or area you want to purify and then open a window to release the evil energy.

I hope that makes sense! :)
