I'm not a big fan of blueberries in things, but I love them fresh. Would you like the recipe for the pastries? They're really simple ^^

All kinds! I make mostly vegetable soups because Mimi is a pescetarian, meaning she only eats fish. I'd make more of my seafood dishes, but it's really expensive to do up here away from the coast. Anyway, I make potato chowder, egg flower soup, Chinese style vegetable soup with simmered fish, french country style soup, butternut squash soup, "green" soup, hearty Italian soup... the list goes on. ^^

Any corn chowder? haha And I think I figured out that she only eats fish yesterday. lol I don't because it's another one of the things my mom's allergic to. She has a few allergies, lol. Hmm, that's a lot of soups. What goes into the Italian one? And the french country style soup?
I may not cook, but I'm seriously thinking about working on it. I did manage to make meatloaf and sheperd's pie.
>< I keep forgetting to thank you for the rambling rose!! So thanks. XD

I've never made corn chowder, but I do like it. Ah, that's a shame, fish is really good for you, and so versatile ^^
The french country soup is carrots, parsnips, zucchini, yellow squash, tomatoes, mushrooms and sometimes spinach and green beans. It's seasoned with thyme, rosemary, basil, garlic, onion and bay along with salt and black pepper.
Hearty Italian has carrot, green beans, zucchini, mushrooms, corn, cauliflower, pearl onions and sometimes tomato. It's seasoned with garlic, celery, paprika, oregano, basil, thyme and bay, along with salt and black pepper. This one also gets noodles, usually the spiral ones, I forget what they are called.
I think soups are my favorite thing to make ^^ they're easy and so tasty! Plus, with a mix of fresh and frozen ingredients, they are cheap and good for you.
Ah, you're welcome ^^

Those sound really good ... Seems like talking with you makes me hungry often enough! XD

Mmm... I prefer zucchini bread though. I keep forgetting to make it.
yea, there are, I think those ones are called Rotini though, we get the tri-colored ones.
I'm glad you think so ^^ and well, I love to cook, I can't help it. Should I tell you about the breads I make to go along with the soups?

Good ^^ bread is my other favorite thing to make, it's almost therapeutic for me. My absolute favorite to make is called an Egg Braid. It's a soft, buttery white bread with a nice crust that isn't too crunchy. Another favorite is my sage wheat bread, its dense and can get dry easily but is really flavorful. I also have an amazing salted rye recipe that I really need to make more often. Then there's the herb rolls, they look like little flowers and have a nice light flavor. ^^
Dinner already? Isn't it only about noon there?

I'd like that.
lol Sure! I was about to say I need to leave to go and get some margarine. I'm making scones. Till later Kage!
Quick question! What can I use to replace nutmeg? nvm I can just buy it when I go to the store.

Ah, well you can use a small pinch of clove, it's a different taste but works just as well. I recommend nutmeg though.
Ja matte, Pap-chan.

I ended up buying the nutmeg at the store. And the scones were a success! XD My mom walked in and asked me if I was sick, that's how surprised she was that I'd cooked something. When I told my sisters I'd made the scones it was basically the same reaction. lol
How're you doing today?

Heheh, I'm glad it worked ^^ I never did bake anything yesterday or today, but tomorrow it's soup and bread for dinner!
I'm feeling a lot better. It feels like a weight has been kind of lifted, you know? Visiting the grave with the weather so nice and warm felt so calming.

Mmm, muffins ^^ what kind? And yea, it's been getting a bit colder again, but it's still in the 60's during the day and the plants are all blooming.

Sudden stroke of inspiration?
Breakfast muffins ... For supper. It has to be for then though because by the time it would be ready in the morning, everyone would be gone. Still no blooming plants over here, so I'm kind of jealous. XD

Well, I figured that, but what flavor of muffin? And yea, a lot of them are just blooming early because of the weird weather. We're praying it doesn't cause a late frost that kills our peaches!

Well there's no special flavor to it, it's more like a bread then a muffin. >< I'd need to look at the recipe again.
What drawing?
