Tomorrow i am going to by myself a gem. It reminds me of the Palantir from Lord of the Rings, but in grey, with a red seam down one side if i remember it correctly. Its worth a fair bit, but i quite like it, so i shall get it!
I think im also going to buy some silly things, like a balaclava with a silly face on it maybe. and a couple of other odds and sods. Plus a good vacuum cleaner maybe? A Dyson is what i want... man... thats going to be a fair bit of cash im spending tomorrow... good by half my pay EASY! >_< ... maybe ill get the vacuum next pay?

Usuke, i dont know when the next contest shall be. I usually like to leave it a little bit between them. I really like to see peoples abstract approaches to themes too! that idea thats just a bit 'left of field' or interpreted a bit differently to the standard approaches.

What ever, going to bed now. Didnt end up getting that gem. I dont know what i imagined but there was nothing there like i thought i saw. Just looked like a tool infront of my mates and the shop girl is all lol! And then when we went to go to the other shops i wanted to get a few things from, they were already closed, so i ended up getting a couple of DVDs and thats it.

We have a long weekend comming up here in the land of Oz. ANZAC Day falls on a Sunday so everyone gets the monday off. Cept me of course, i have to work public holidays year round... i dont even know what a public holiday feels like anymore because i have to work them all. People usually get paid holiday rates for having to work the public holidays here, like double time etc. but not me either! Same slightly higher rate all year round! >_<; i try to look at it positively though, because if i wasnt working, id be out with mates spending heaps of money, getting into trouble, and making mischief. At least if im at work, im being useful, making cash instead of spending it, and i dont have to put up with d!cks out in public either!

ANZAC day is a national day in rememberance of the soldiers who fought in WW2 on Galipoli (Turkey). ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps, since it was both of our nations combined that fought together. We got our asses handed to us, but we held our own against some pretty heavy odds and hopeless terrain. For a lot of people, the soldiers efforts arent as meaningful as the extra day off work and the chance to get really drunk for an occasion of some sort. To others, it means a hell of a lot.

As for why i have to work, thats just the nature of my job in printing. News doesnt stop, and if we dont print something at the right time, it doesnt get delivered in time to be distributed etc, and then the information is redundant. Plus, it would SEVERELY throw out the printing schedule for not just that paper, but everything for the rest of the week pretty much.

Like i said though, i view it as a positive. Im not out causing mischief and getting into trouble, and certainly not out spending cash, and im getting paid instead.

oh wow....I don't think we get holidays like that :d we only stop for the religious holidays :d like for remembrance day, we still have to work/go to school.

Same here LaVida. It would be nice to get more vacation time from school and such. I am sure everybody agrees?

Lol, i actually enjoy the major holidays and having to work! It means i can get away from my family when theyre all together!

Usuke>> yea.....but there's a down side to that....because there's a required number of hours needed to earn a credit in school, so if they lengthen our vacations or add more school-off time, they might have to make school last longer XP It's like how in some schools in the US they might get a TON of homework and only 4-5 hours of school or they don't get any homework at all and the school lasts, like, 9 hours XP (well, that's the rumor at least :P)

Usuke, unfortunatley i am only a casual employee where i work. That means no holiday, sick, annual, long term pay etc, my hours are not guaranteed (though they sorta are) and yeah basically, if i dont work , i dont get paid! Works ok for me though because i can make more than a few of the permanent staff if i work a long fortnight, because they're all on a set salary!

@ Assassin - Oh... O.k. Well, atleast you get paid. :)
Oh, and YamiSora, I am Asian, and I am not that smart. I'm just average student lol . Well, my father is half English, but besides most, Japanese I am.

I don't know if I'll participate in any photo contests, (There isn't anyone around to take pictures of me and the ones I do by/of myself look like rubbish xD) but I'll definitely hang around.

I'm actually glad that my school doesn't have more holidays. We get PLENTY, being a public school, but if there were more they'd make the year drag out longer and I'm really, really not into that. I don't know what the college schedule will be like regarding days off or if I'll really want/need them, but I rest assured knowing I'll have something to complain about xD

I hope you do participate in some competitions though mate, im not after professional quality stuff, things taken with webcam are fine! Infact, i think one of our first winners was done on webcam? No, maybe both were? We tied, see, so there were two winners for the first competition. But yeah, as long as we can make you out and see that youre themed for the competition, its all good and youre in with a chance!
