Oh, I'm sure I could find them in the library; it's finding the time to read fiction. And the lack of guilt over it. Playing on Menewsha I regard kind of as research, looking at fan communities or whatnot... but reading for fun? Hm, harder to convince myself of that.

Just out of curiosity, do you have any statistics of how many new users you have clothed since the opening of your charity?

I think about a dozen? I can check the thread for "scholarship requests," but a lot of them never accepted the trade, so I gave up after about two weeks.

scholar- I would be interested in how many sucessful (completed trade) donations you've given out compared to the length of your charity in pages and the time your charity has been open. After all, I have a charity aimed at new users as well and I just am interested in comparing statistics. I do feel that I'm equipped to handle much more traffic and requests than I actually end up getting.

I've added to a post on the front page all my scholarship recipients -- it's about ten, I think, and you can see when I opened from the first post. *goes to check*

June 23 of this year is when I opened, and a dozen requests. Only ten actually completed, but I tried! It was much busier earlier in the summer, when there were more new users. Now, if I get them, I get them on the weekend when people have time to join sites like this.

My clients come sporadically. Some people do not finish the posting requirements, some fill out the form incompletely (forgetting the rules quote) or sending it prematurely (when they only have one post). I only send the trade when I get a 'complete' form from them. I'll share my statistics with you shortly.

I'm about to purchase some more raffle tickets from the scholarship office so you can go ahead and actually perform the raffle.

My charity has been open since 11-26-09, so almost 10 months, and I have helped 18 new users, given out 8 pure gold postprizes/pageprizes, and I give out commons every month to those who link to my charity to spread the word (the number fluctuates between new people added and some people being on hiatus or requesting an exemption, but about 8-10 gifts?).

Thanks for the stats, Crow! I'll check my mule soon, and probably run the raffle tomorrow after a weekend of heavy promotion.

Currently checking my backlog of threads and watching xxxHOLIC for the first time. Then I'll need to knuckle down and start reading for classes starting next week!

My classes start on Monday. :drool: Luckily, no emails about what I should start reading already.

I may go watch a movie soon.

What movie? And since our classes are weekly and we're on a quarter system, that means only ten meetings each quarter, so not having something to do in the first meeting (most grad seminars are discussion-oriented, rather than lecture) is a real waste of time. :P
