((Well, from my knowledge.. Dante and Scarlett are in the bar room along with Si'la. Then Daeman and Ki'la are up in Daemans room talking.))
She smirked. "Barbaric? No. But this does mean i'll have to teach you how to dance." She said, sticking her tongue out at him before letting out a small laugh. "I know! How can it be that a girl like myself is shy?" She joked sarcastically, then frowned as he did. "Whats wrong?" She asked, knowing she had already asked that question multiple times that night. Her emerald eyes stared blankly at his silver ones. Was the beast bothering him again? She was considering the thought that he was always at war with the beast.. even in his head. But she didn't want to ask him in fear of making the beast take him over again.

What's wrong? Dante blinked, looking confused for a brief moment. "Nothing. Just thinking, is all." He reached up to touch her nose. She was quite the cutie, honestly. He loved the way her green eyes sparkled when she laughed. Dante wished he could just lock his other half away for the time: he wanted to enjoy every moment with Scarlett.
'Ah, but of course you do.'
Dante ignored the barb aimed at him. Blinking to keep himself from snapping a mental reply, the white-haired youth wrapped both arms around Scarlett and pulled her against him. One word could have described it accurately: cuddle. He was . . . cuddling her. "Have you ever owned any animals?" he asked, keeping his arms wrapped safely around the girl. He would keep her with him - even if the beast wished she would leave.

"Once, before my mother died. I owned a small dog." She said, then looked up towards him, her eyes flickering a brief sign of sadness. She shook it off then glanced up to the handsome man before her. "And you?" She asked, biting her pale lip. "If you'd like we can go upstairs and I can help you dance." She said, then grinned at how odd that sounded. "That sounded very suggestive.. so I might as well say that dancing upstairs doesn't involve getting in bed." She laughed.

Daeman looked around and started to smile at the questions. "I've been to many places on business.. Right now im staying here until i get a request from a party or even solve this case, but i was going to go over to the valley of tears. You know, the one where all those springs are that happened to look like tears from the mountain above. The mountain was supposedly a giant whose love died and so he cried so many tears, they got stuck in the ground as the springs. He just laid down and let the earth take him back, which is how the mountain was made. Theres suppose to be a magical quality to the springs and i just want to see the beauty of it for myself." She jumped down and grabbed an old map that was suppose to be one of a kind that showed the whole area of the Valley of Tears. When she got on the bed, she spread it out so the girl could look at it. "You and your sister could come if you'd like. I wouldnt mind the company."

Ki'la listened intently. It wasn't often that other travelers shared much of anything with her. It was usually her sister who got the information they needed. She was mostly too nasty...She got up and went to the bed for a closer look. "Fascinating. It looks like it's completely closed off from the outside. Where is the passage to get in? What kind of magical abilities?" She stopped before she could ask too many more questions about the place, the slightest tinge of red gracing her very pale face. At least this was a good enough distraction...for now. "I-I'm sorry. I would love to go, and I don't doubt Si'la would come as well."

Daeman had almost laughed. The smile on her face made her look like she had held all of it in. She looked at the map and pointed to a heavily forested area. "The passage will be here, but it's a little tricky to find completely. Theres plenty of traps around it with an annoying amount of forestry. The forest will test you before you can get to the tears in ways you could never imagine... from what i hear of course." She drank some of the drink she had in her hand and looked back to the map only to pull out another map. "It took me a while to figure out where the valley was, but its here on this island. I was actually in the area to find someone who might have a ship in order to get to this island, but a favor caught me and i came to this little town, away from the shore. Kind of bad timing."

Ki'la nods and looks at the map. "Understandable. We often find things that put us off track." She traced a long finger along one of the rivers. "Looks like fun. Danger can be quite exhilarating. No doubt Si'la would be up for it as well. If we could get away from here, of course." She looks up at Daeman, her eyes very red. "Death is an odd thing, isn't it?" She didn't mean to sound creepy....it was just how she was sometimes...not that she'd ever notice that of course.

Daeman noticed something odd about the woman's eyes. They seemed a lot more fierce, a little sadistic. Of course she didnt mind at all. She watched as the woman moved her finger along the map. "I would love to have the two of you come with. The company would be great, but your right. We have to get away from here first. Unfortunately, we have to stay until we can figure out where the inn keeper is or what has happened to her." She smiled at the last question the girl had asked. "Death is a funny thing." She responded in almost as creepy but seductive as the girl had done.

((So where's Ace? And I know Kage hasn't posted in a while, so I'm just going to say he's not in the downstairs of the inn right now. We should really get back on track guys...))
Julia started awake, sitting up from her slouched position on the table she was at. the ache in her head had faded to a dull throb, and she silently cursed the drink she had. She looked around the room to see The girl and white-haired one and one of the twin girls. No one else was around. She stood, gently pushing the chair back under the table, and went to the fireplace, re-lighting it with a flick of her fingers. It burned blood red for a split second before settling to a normal color. She set herself in the chair closest to it, trying to go through what little she had heard through her headache earlier.

((I am once again sorry for the wait, work has been hell and I have recently recovered from an injury.))
Ti sat in one of the plush chairs in the hall, staring at a half-finished game of chess, deep in thought. He kept his eyes and ears open to what was around him, listening into the snippets of conversation he could hear. After a while, he stood and went to his room, grabbing his blade, coat and fedora, donning them as he made his way down the stairs. He barely glanced at the other patrons as he made his way to the door. He needed answers, and needed help getting them. It would take a bit to get to them, but he knew just the person to help.
He walked down the stone steps quickly, pausing to glance back to the gardens for a moment, as if trying to find something they missed. He shook his head slightly, and continued down the short stone path. He stepped down off the curb and blinked as a strong wind pushed against him. He looked up, and saw the inn. He frowned, and looked behind, the street in view. He turned around and stepped off the curb again, the breeze kicked up once more, and he found himself facing the building.
His face became blank as he stared at the building, eyes flashing gold. He turned around again, facing the street as he looked for the nearest street light. He called on his power, focusing on the soft glow of light the lamp gave. He tried to call the shadows to cover the light, but it merely dimmed, the shadows gathering on the edge of the property nearest to the light. He stared at the light, thoughts churning as he assessed the new information. The Innkeep was suddenly missing, with no witnesses, and a supernatural force was stopping them from leaving.
He closed his eyes and focused on the inn, using the shadows in the rooms to find Daeman, then to project his voice. "Please forgive me for interrupting, but Daeman, can you come to the front walk? I need you to see something." he said, his deep voice sounding through her room.

Daeman heard her name in the shadows. It was crazy to hear and all her senses went on full alert, reaching for her weaponry. Then she recognized the voice as Ti, the other assassin in the inn. She hopped up on her bed so that she was standing. Of course she bowed and looked at the girl, trying to be polite. "Excuse me. It seems i have to attend to something. You can take a look around all you want, or even take the maps to your sister and ask her about the adventure. I dont mind." Of course she didnt mind. She had taken down everything on those maps and memorized them. With a quick hop onto the floor, the little halfling made her way out of the room, down the stairs and out the door where Ti was. "What is it?" she asked in a suspicious manner. With her senses being on high alert, she was wary of what could be out there that he wanted her to see.

Julia glanced up as Ti came down the stairs, looking back to the fire until she felt the slight stir his energy made. That made her look up again, just before the halfling came down the stairs and went out the door. Curious, she stood and followed, stopping as the other woman did.

Ti turned to Daeman as she walked up behind him, glancing to Julia, giving a nod to the Vampress. "I'm sorry for my startling you," he said with a short bow. "But this is.... well, I'm not quite sure how to explain it, so I'll just show you." he said, turning back to the street. He took the few steps as he had twice before, and just as he stepped off the curb, the queer wind blew and his image flickered, suddenly facing the inn and the two woman again.
He let them process the sight for a few moments before speaking. "Would one of you try, please." he said, more than asked. "I need to test all angles of this. If one of us can get through, we can theoretically get outside help wit this, or at least find a way for those who cannot pass the barrier to get out." He explained, dark eyes looking to and from the Halfing and Vampress.
((as I am sure you can assume, no they will not be able to leave.))

"Dancing is good," Dante couldn't help but laugh. His cheeks lit up as Scarlett scrambled to cover her slip of the tongue, but he merely wiped away a tear of laughter. "I'm sure you are a good teacher." The male glanced up when Ti and the others left the room, but for a moment his curiousity remained silent. He wanted to be with Scarlett.
Slowly letting his arms release the girl, he sighed quietly. "I must admit, I haven't owned an animal before. When I was younger I wanted a cat, but that . . . well . . . changed." It changed when his life took a turn for the violent: his very nature had changed. "Can we dance now? I mean, if it isn't a problem, anyway."

"It's not a problem." She said in a silvery tone, standing up and putting out a slender hand for him. She laughed when he laughed and then smirked slightly. "I hope I'm a good teacher, but i've only helped a few people with dancing. And most of them don't talk to me anymore.. so i'm at a loss to know how well I teach." She grinned, letting her hand run through her dark bangs. Her emerald eyes glanced to the door as everyone started to leave but shook her head and glanced back to Dante. For now she'd let herself stop being curious and spend time with him.

Daeman's eyebrow went up when the man was all of a sudden facing them when he walked away from the in. Then he asked them to give it a try. She looked a little like she was contemplating every possibility. Her eyes narrowed and she started to walk towards the town. Her attempt failed when she found herself staring back at the inn. "interesting. This is indeed perplexing. What if the disappearance of the inn keeper and this barrier are connected somehow?"

Dante accepted her hand and stood, pulling her to him for a quick kiss. "I'll let you know if you suck." He laughed again, starting toward the stairs with Scarlett in tow. Honestly the very thought of learning something normal made him happy. He was so excited that their trip to the room was almost rushed. When they finally got there, Dante beamed a grin. "Has anyone told you that your hair is pretty?" It wasn't stated very eloquent, but it got the point across.
He pulled her close for another kiss . . . though this one wasn't quite as rushed. "I'll be sorry to step all over those dainty feet of yours. I can't imagine I'm very graceful."
'You aren't.'
Why, thank you, Captain Obvious.

"Once, But the man wasn't as handsome as you." She said, kissing him back. When they arrived upstairs after his hurrying she took both his hands. "Okay, pretty much all you do is keep your hands on my hips." She said, setting both his hands on her hips. "I don't mind. My feet can take it." She said, putting her hands on his shoulder. "Any specific dance you wish to learn?" She asked, looking up at him. This day had been one of her greatest in a long time, and everytime she looked up at him she realized it would eventually end no matter how much she didn't want it too. She looked down towards the floor for a moment before looking back up. "Do you wish that your life was less complicated? Cause I sure as hell do.." She said, offering a small smile. "Then maybe it'd be easier to be with you, like regular people. But my past prevents me from staying in one place for more than a few days.."

Dante's eyes were a bit wider than usual as he cleared his throat. "I don't recall ever wishing to learn anything specific when it came to dancing. Perhaps something simple?" Funny how a girl could be all the more attractive when she was right in front of you. It did help that his hands were on her already. Dante's cheeks filled with a bit of color as he pushed away his thoughts.
The male's silver gaze settled on Scarlett's for a moment before she looked down. He was worried for a brief second that he'd done something wrong, but it turned out to be that she was thinking.
"I've spent the last couple years wishing things were less complicated," Dante replied quietly. Though his hands were still on Scarlett's hips, his demeanor calmed down a bit. He met her gaze as she looked back to him. "What . . . happened?" He hesitated before speaking again. "Why can't you stay?"

"I can't stay in one place for more than a few days because my ex is out to kill my brother and I.." She said, looking back up at his eyes. "But you make me want to stay here so bad.." She said, standing up straighter to reach her lips to his. From them being so close at the moment it helped spark the kiss and make it much more passionate. She then pressed her forehead to his chest. "Okay, then i'll just teach you the Waltz." She said, looking back up at him. "Okay, the man always uses his left foot for the first step, and the woman the right." She then took his right arm and put his hand on the small of her back. "I forgot that only one hands on the waist..." She said, her eyes looking to his again.
"I know both are lives are very complicated.. and even though we've only know each other for a few days I feel very connected to you." She said, her voice getting quieter as she spoke of her feelings. She leaned towards him and kissed him again, blushing when she noticed him blushing as well.

"Oh," Dante breathed. He pursued the kiss when it came his way, fighting to settle himself down as she pressed her forehead to his chest. He swallowed, kissing the top of her head just before she pulled away. "Waltz sounds good," Dante smiled crookedly, watching as Scarlett adjusted his hand placement. "That's a shame," he muttered, not quite sure how he felt about having his hands moved.
His gaze caught on the girl's as she looked up at him. They were so beautiful: deep, gorgeous, bright, expressive, caring. . . . Dante was startled out of his thoughts when she spoke of her feelings. Silver eyes filling with care, he leaned forward to return her show of compassion. "Funny how that works," he whispered as his blush darkened. Letting one hand leave its place, he brushed her cheek.
'You're too attached.'
Is that threatening you? Why can't you just leave me alone?
'You know that you'll only end up hurting her in the end, boy.'
She could be different.
'She won't be.'

Scarlett blushed as well as he brushed her cheek with his hand. She took the hand that was by her face and smiled at his words. So how's it ever going to work?" She whispered, her eyes once again looking to him for an answer. She had let herself fall for him.. which would be her downfall. It made her never want to leave when if she didn't then she'd end up hurting the ones around her like her brother. If he just left her to handle Declan on his own then he'd be free to have a life. But she'd still be hopping from town to town.
She gave a small smile. "You have plenty of time to hold my waist when you want, but right now you have to go by the waltzing rules." She giggled, kissing the side of his face. "Okay.. now you step to the left with your left foot, then I step with my right to the right." She said, doing as she said. "Then step forward with your left and move to the left, I do the same but right." She said, gently leading him to do the steps.

"I'm not sure," Dante whispered in reply. How was anything good in his life ever going to work? There weren't many certainties along his chosen path, especially now that the monster lived within him. He held her gaze until she smiled and turned them back to the dance.
He moved as she instructed with a crooked smile on his face. Dante could follow along just fine . . . and he got the hang of it faster than ever. It was only a few times after being shown through the steps when he took the reigns and led Scarlett through them. Miraculously, he avoided her feet. He was obviously not an expert, but he could do it just fine.
"First lesson learned. I say you're a good teacher," Dante chuckled, keeping time with a beat in his head. It was a three-count dance; Dante enjoyed the feel of being in time with someone. He wasn't on the same line as others for the most part, but this was different. They were dancing to the same beat - literally and metaphorically.
