Wow, you did all that in like, a day?

The yellow/purple part? I did that in like -- I started it around 8:30 or so on Thursday night and I finished it just before noon today? So about a day and a halfish...? If my math is right? Haha! How it went - yellow started Thursday night, and finished yesterday and then purple started this morning and finished before noon. So basically if I counted hours - it was about a day but over the course of a few days if that makes any sense?

I saw the picture with the yellow. That seems kind of fast considering that the work is so small and tedious! Must take forever to finish something huge then.

Oh, I slowly work towards it - and it also didn't take as long as it is not a full flower, but the one on the corner of the piece. The other two - I have a purple flower and a pink flower - are going to take longer as they are full flowers and not partial ones. It's not too hard, but then again, once you get a few stitches of one color on, it helps to get the other colors in there, based on those, if that makes sense? And thanks! I was actually following a pattern, so I just put in colors where they told me to. *lol* But it is all in the counting to put the colours in the right places, as the pattern is on a piece of paper that I am going from. :)

The blue flower and the petal/stem took me about 2 1/2 years to finish or so- - can't quite remember when I started it, because I kept on putting it down - as that middle part is white, creme and beige (three separate colours) that were annoying and hard to do - especially with the already white background. >.< It helps when the colours in question for the petals and parts aren't shades of white. :P

So what are you making this for? And... omg... 2.5 years is quite a long time. I guess that happens when you get distracted XD

Oh, I am just making it for myself. And I blame school - I leave it at home as it just sits around at school and I don't get anything done on it, so then I forget that it's here, and then randomly find it and go "Ohhhh, yeah! Must add more!" and then add more and put it away when I leave again and forget about it. It'll get done eventually. And then I can show it off and be like "Look! I said I'd do it! And I did finish it!!"

I have so many partially-finished pieces sitting around.

I have a needlepoint that I've never gotten back to, part of a knitted scarf, 3/4's of an afghan, one sock knitted, half a sweater done...

Jean: I try not to start a new one till the one I'm working on gets finished. Lol. But I know if I knew where the other piece is that I wanted to do, that I'd start it. :P

i'm too lazy right now. i used to crochet, but i've forgotten how. I like to sew too, but i just get too upset about or the boys are always bothering me.

I never really think that I'm creating things...I follow a pattern, and do what the directions say.

I think that I'm just "implementing" somebody else's creation...

Jean: Well, I am kinda having to make it up - because they only gave me three shades of yellow when I needed four, so I had to just decide that I was going to make two of them one colour. Haha! But for the most part, I don't have the time to make up my own patterns right now.

I can't cross stitch.

I need to make myself stop going to fast (I forced myself to leave it at home so I don't have any more distractions at school this week - it's finals week - because when I do, then my poor fingers get poked - I totally jabbed my middle left finger today... Right where it got jabbed, it hurts. :( And it seemed the other pokes to my fingers was really just that same one (middle left finger).

Well finals are important.

Oh, yes. Even though they drive me absolutely mental - I have 2 on Tuesday (one being a practical final for my cooking class), three on Wednesday and 1 on Thursday (this one being the written final for my cooking class).

So what are you going to school for?

I'm a Deaf Studies major - but I am currently just trying to finish my GE - almost there, after I am done with my lab this term, I am done with it! Yay! :) And then I'll be transferring Fall of '13 hopefully down to CSUN. Which is THE school to go to for my major. :)

GE? What's that. And that's so awesome you are doing Deaf Studies.

General Education =] And I love my major! Drives my friends and family crazy as most of them don't know any ASL.

That's what I thought it was. I know some. I can sign The Lords Prayer if I go slowly.
