In my opinion, you HAVE to have Food Network and USA at least!

We have those two channels. I don't watch Food network though unless I am channel flipping and something catches my interest.

I love all the Top Chef shows.
I also love Alton Brown and Iron Chef America.

Depends really. You could start at watching at the beginning of the revival...or start all the way back at classic. Although a lot of people started watching starting with the 10th or the 11th Doctor.

I know they are airing Doctor Who right now I believe. And it comes on in the morning as well.

I started with the 9th doctor. =] Currently -- Christmas episode just aired, and now we wait till April for more new episodes. You can find Series 1-6 on Netflix (it's on Instant watch) and then there are now 6 episodes in Series 7 -- well technically 5 episodes and then the Christmas special. :) ))

Series 7 is going to end in November of next year - so the gaps between episodes are longer than normal. Rather there are more gaps between episodes than the other series.

Yes, April (don't know when in April though). And then probably another break, and then a few episodes, and then another break - Series seven ends on the 50th anniversary which is November 23rd of 2013.

How long have you been watching Who? I've gone through one full season with the breaks - well rather one break - instead of like 2 or more like this one, and sure they are torture, but at least we do get more and they are scheduled in. :)

Did you catch the Christmas episode?

I started watching it a few years ago on SyFy. But that was the only time I watched it. Now I watch it more since I now have BBC America. We used to didn't get that channel. Now they give it to us. Which is very nice. :D I love Top Gear. :D

I do now...but I hardly get on it anymore. :/ When I do, I normally watch Top Gear. I have watched all the Classic Who that they have on streaming though. I haven't gotten through all of the revival because I kinda ended up watching repeats of things I was already watching on BBC America. XD

ah, ok - I was going to say, because sometimes it helps to kind of watch it in order, at least I've got that - I'll go back now (I have Netflix), and watch repeats of fave episodes. But there are some things that happen that I can see things making things make more sense. If that makes sense... sorry if I am not making much sense - I am kind of feeling scatter brained. I am trying to distract myself - found out about 45 minutes ago that my brother totaled his car (he is ok, but the car isn't).

Yeah. That makes sense. :) Sometimes in order does definitely help. Even watching Classic Who definitely helps. I don't see how people can tell others they don't need to watch Classic Who in order to understand the revival. You need to watch it, otherwise some things don't make sense.
I'm glad he's okay. Totaling a car is no fun. I have done that before.

Oh, there are some things that I can see as being helpful to know - not that you have to watch it in order, but sometimes for a few specific plot lines... it would help, from my pov. I've not seen any of the old ones... and things make sense to me. Some people don't need to watch them. You can, but if one doesn't want to, or doesn't have time to watch nearly 35 or so years of shows (like me)... I don't have time to watch them....

I wish I could watch more. I really like the Classic even if watching it now, a lot of the stuff is really corny. But it is really great! I wish Netflix had more to stream. I would like to see every doctor!

I wish that I had the time to watch it, but with everything going on in my life right now - it just doesn't work for me. One of my best friends started with the 4th - and now she can't decide who she likes better.... 4th or 10th. :P
