There aren't really judges to read the stories. With the number of people doing it, that would be impossible. XD;;;; They just have word counter to confirm that you've written 50k.

xD If I was a judge, I wouldn't read the whole thing. Read the first few paragraphs, toss it in the bin if I don't like it. *mean*

No, they don't. And there aren't any judges. It has nothing to do with the quality of writing. It's a motivational challenge to help a writer write out a novel length story.
