"Oh, good." Bruce said, hugging her tightly. "You had me worried for a second. So, what would you like to do today?"

After her little identity crisis, Gemini pulled herself together enough to shower and head out. She arrived at the cafe and ordered, wondering if Darien would show up. The expression on her face was rather scary, one that said "I'm pissed" rather clearly.

"Something wrong love dear?" Darien asked taking her hand wondering if he should tell her the truth.

"whatever you want.'' Lori smiled up at him. "Go check out wedding venues maybe.''

Gemini looked up, startled at being called "love" and shook her head. "No, I just...had a bad night last night. I've started to wonder..." She trailed off, shaking her head again. "I shouldn't burden you with all that. But I would like to ask you something. I know we just met yesterday, but...what kind of person do you see, when you look at me?"

Bruce nodded. "That's a good idea. We should get the planning done soon...I want to be your husband as quickly as possible." He said.

"A smart intelligent slightly dangerous angel.'' Darien blurted out then blushed furiously scowling. "What is wrong with me?" he growled.

Lori flushed and then laughed "Alright eager macbeaver.' she stood and stretched to get changed. She came back changed in a smiple shirt and skirt. "Ready?"

Gemini blinked, blushing. Did he really just...? She cleared her throat slightly. "I...um...thank you." She said, then giggled. "Once again, you said something I didn't expect. Unpredictable, just like I said. But...thank you. I really needed that compliment. And I don't think anything is wrong with you."

While Lori had been changing, Bruce had changed as well, into his usual clothes. He kept some clothes at her place, just for an occasion like this. "Yes, I'm ready." He said, smiling softly as he looked at her.

Lori got her keys and took his hand going to her mustang "don't ask.' she warned and slipped behind the wheel starting the car to let it run a little.

"If you knew who I really was you would hate me though I didn't do what you think what I did someone else started it.'' Darien sighed. "I would tell you but we are in public.''

Bruce shook his head. "I don't want to know." He said, slipping into the passenger's seat and buckling his seat belt. "I'm sure the explanation would only give me a headache."

Gemini blinked rapidly in confusion. "Uh...what?" She asked, temporarily speechless. "If there's something you need to tell me, we can go somewhere else." She offered.

Lori chuckled and shook her head. "It's not that bad.'' she drove them to the bakery first to pick out there cake. She slid out o the car and took his hand squeezing it gentle.

Darien lead her to an alleyway. "look I didn't start the breakout...that was freeze I would have never killed you...I thought you were cute.'' he was pacing a little. "though why I feel anything is confusing as all hell...I'm not making any sense am I?

Getting out of the car, Bruce took Lori's hand, squeezing it back. "Any cake you want, love. Just no pink." He said, knowing that she'd never pick anything pink in the first place.

Gemini followed and listened quietly, becoming more and more confused as he spoke. Break out? He's talking about that night...but he couldn't know about- Her thoughts were cut off by his final statement. For a moment, as her mind put the pieces together, she didn't react. Then, slowly, she started to shake her head, backing away from him. The tears from earlier were back, though she didn't seem to realize that she was crying. "No..." She whispered. "No, you...you're...I c-can't..." She swallowed hard before turning and running, still sobbing, for the exit of the alleyway.

"Don't go." Joker begged. "Please." It was the first time in a long time he had said that word. "I know my past isn't the best... I'm also not going to change but...never mind." He turned to the escape and glanced at her only once.

Lori shuddered at the idea. "The only one to pick that might be Harely." She chuckled and sat with him to cake test for once she was glad everyone knew who he was. Little did they know that outside the store a member of the league of shadows watched them carefully.

Gemini stopped for a second when she heard the word "please." She turned back to look at him, and met his gaze. "I'm sorry...I need time." She said, though she wasn't sure if he heard her. She turned again and ran, not stopping until she reached her apartment.

Bruce chuckled and followed her in, sitting down as numerous different types and styles of cakes were brought to them. He mostly stayed quiet, letting Lori choose what she wanted.

Lori eventually settled for a chocolate cake with strawberries and white fondant with piping and a knight and princess topper. "OK next a venue for food tasting."

Joker walked threw the city and bumped into someone they talked and a grin broke out on his face as he nodded to the figure who seemed to smile before vanishing into the shadows.

Bruce nodded, having agreed with her choice and even liked it. "Okay, let's go then." He said, getting up. He had a feeling the planning wouldn't take too long, since people seemed almost too eager to help them. "You know, the newspaper is going to have a story about us by tonight, now that we've been seen picking out a wedding cake." He told her.

Once she got home, Gemini cried for a good half hour before pulling herself together. "Lori. I need to talk to Lori." She said, getting up and heading over to her phone. She picked it up and dialed Lori's cell phone number, still sniffling.

Lori's phone rang and she picked it up. "Lori speaking...Do you get special treatment everywhere you go?" she heard Lori asking someone who she figured was Bruce. "Yes we want to try everything...manly meats, and fish...nothing any kind of raw.''

Bruce chuckled. "Unfortunately, yes, I do. Who's on the phone?" He asked, though he could guess.

"Lori, I need to talk to you..." She sniffled. "In person. Something happened and I need your help...will you come over to my place when you're done with Bruce?"

"Who do you think silly." Lori smiled at him "Sure love let me pick are food half an hour tops.'' she squeezed his hand. "See you soon dear.''

Gemini sniffled once more. "Okay. I'll be here...thank you..." She said, before letting her best friend get back to Bruce. After putting down the phone, Gemini went to curl up in bed with Lucifer.

"Sounds like she wants to see you. What's wrong?" Bruce asked after the phone call was ended. Despite the fact that he thought she was strange, he did kind of like Gemini, and since she was Lori's friend, she was okay with him.

"Not sure love lets get this over with." Lori let him have more of a say in the food choice after she dropped him off at him giving him a lingering kiss before she drove to Gemini's place slipping in threw the window. "whats wrong?"

Gemini jumped slightly, but relaxed when she realized it was Lori. "Lori...I-I-I...." She broke down into tears again, explaining between sobs what had happened. "...And now I just don't know what to do."

"I knew it was Joker." Lori smiled a little. "I can't tell you what to do my dear...how do you feel about him? He seems to like you though I have no faith that he will stop being evil I think he does like you the way he looked at you.' she smiled. ''though if you don't want to talk about it I won't bring it up again.'' she rested against the window sill.

Gemini shook her head. "Of course you knew. You would know that kind of thing." She sighed. "I think..." Don't say it. Her mind warned. "I think I might..." If you say it, then it's true! It yelled. "L-love him." She finished. But it is true. Why else would I be so upset? Another part of her said. "Thank you for not telling me before. It would have made things worse."

"Well if I had told you and he would gave know and gotten back at...wait love?" Lori paused. "Well if he makes you happy I won't lay out the welcome mat or stop Bruce from beating him up but I won't be to mean." She smiled at her then froze as she heard a noise.

Gemini chuckled. "That's the best I can ask for, anyway. Now I just need to figure out how to tell him-" She said, before freezing as she heard a sound. Lucifer stood up, his fur standing on end and teeth bared. "What was that?"

"Not sure." Lori stepped outside sighing. "I have a bad feeling." She jumped as a man dropped in front of her. Her knees went weak and her eyes widened. "Get Bruce tell him Talia's really going to kill me." She ducked past the big man and ran forgetting her car as the man followed her fast for a man his size

Gemini jumped up after hearing Lori and ran for her phone. She sent Bruce a quick text, then ran outside with Lucifer at her heels, got into her car and drove as fast as she could towards Bruce's place.

Bruce had just gotten the text from Gemini when there was a panicked knocking at the door. Alfred answered it, and moments later Gemini was standing in front of him, gasping for breath. "What the hell happened? Where's Lori?" He asked. As Gemini explained, he started walking- and then running- towards the entrance to the batcave. It took only a few moments for the two of them to be headed out in the batmobile, breaking every speed limit there was.
