The book was called Wild Ginger by Anchee Min, its based in China during the cultural revolution I believe.

I know what you mean sychobunny! I just recently wrote a list of books I want to read and not including other books in the same series or anything else by the same author and I only now realise how much catching up I have to do!

:shock: Wow, that is a lot of side-tracking. I only had to deal with my rowdy giant dogs a couple times, and trying to a bit of drawing. Aside from the regular picking up yarn and donating it, shoveling snow, and getting another round of items to make three sets total. :yes:
I've not even touched games much today, which is surprising for me. :sweat:

he wrote 2 series of books which interlock with each other...
about 8 books all together which i just love to read..

lol yeah... there's also been the 10 minute routine of shoveling and getting yarn from the creepy kid. >.>
I swear I'm about all shoveled out. X.x;

I'm guessing it wasn't very stable for it's weight, and got water all over the place? We used to have bowls like that. Many, many years ago. Now we have a big water reservoir that has a bottle that holds about three gallons of water. Bad thing is, we have to clean it and refill it every day, cause the dogs drink most of it, and what they don't drink, they drool all over the place. :XD

Mine was two little water bowls in a metal base, but she flipped it over because the side she likes to drink out of didn't have that much water in it. >.>
Unfortunately the other side was nearly FULL. x.x;
