Haden watched as they went inside. He looked at Jezzebeth and said, "Can we come too?" It was getting cold out and he could see his sister getting goosebumps. He tried to warm her, but her human body was bigger then his, so he could not. He gave Jezzebeth puppy dog eyes, and nodded towards his sister.

Lyna frowned slightly as she heard what he was saying to her, it was hard for her to understand what he was saying, after all elves used words that fairies had no use for. “What type of family did you have? Was it you and your siblings and your parents or you and your wife and kids? And what do you mean you wonder what she would look like?” she asked him, not answering his question as she tried to understand what he said and get un-confused. She took a deep breathe and let out slowly before she turned her eyes back towards the moon, it was beautiful, she just wished she could touch it but the closest that she could get to touching it was the light it gave off to her. She heard that it was indirect sunlight but direct sunlight to her, well it would kill her if she wasn’t careful about it.

Shusuke chuckled, and shook his head. "I had parents," he said quietly. "No siblings. Elves aren't known for having large families." He reached up to mess with a lock of Lyna's hair, and he gently caressed her shoulder as he did so. "I was never married, so I have no family now." The slender elf took a deep breath, and then continued. "As I was saying, I used to wonder what my future mate would look like." There was a pause, and his blush returned. He reached up to push his glasses up, but found that he'd left them with his shirt and boots a few feet away. But now all I see is you. "Have you ever wondered if you'll find someone, Lyna?"
Following the fairy's gaze, the tall male looked to the moon, smiling as it reflected in his silver gaze. It reminded him of her, shining and soft. Gentle, yet clear.

Jezzebeth smiled at the two.'Ofcourse you can,I didn't clean it out just for a few people to sleep in it.'Jezzebeth said in a soft voice. Then she turned her attention to esmme and tilted her head.Jezzebeth lead esmme to a patch of hay on the ground. The soft dirt was smooth and the hay was like silk.Jezzebeth had added magical purpose to the hay so they could get a good nights rest.'You can sleep anywhere, just dont wonder off alone.'Jezzebeth said as she turned and looked up at the sky.The moon was out.Jezzebeth smiled softly and changed into her dragon form crawling into the dragon pool. She let out a content sigh as her and Danzi spoke of weather and when to bring rain.
Danzi watched as jezzebeth lead them into the cave then looked to the sky.His talons scratched against the clay as he crawled into the pool and let out a small flame from his jaws into the air.He was content.'Tonight, lets just enjoy the fact were home again and we can speak of it to the rest of the group as of tomorrow. They may not be dragons but they are apart of this world aswell.'Danzi said taking in the wonderful smell of the pool water as it bubled with heat.

“Oh, that helps me understand better. I used to wonder if I would find someone. I traveled around, trying to find him, but I was always left alone because of the fact that I can‘t have kids. I want a family, I want to have kids…..but I can‘t have kids of my own…..and the closes I can come to a family is being near other people‘s family. It seems that if a woman can‘t have children….then there is no man that would want her.” Lyna said sadly to Shusuke as she looked at him, a tear escaped her eye, she had a slight blush on her face from when he messed with her hair and the touched her shoulder. She turned her face away from him, looking back out over the dragon sized springs, she hugged her knees even closer to her as best as she could. She pulled her glamour over her self, making her look even more human, her shinny skin, her pointy ears, her sliver almost see through wings, disappeared. She was human appearing except for her silver hair and teal eyes, other then that she was just a human sitting next to an elf.

Esmme grinned sleepily and collapsed into the hay that Jezzebeth pointed out . . . instantly falling into a weary slumber. It had been a long day.
-
Glancing to Lyna, Shusuke tilted his head slightly. A sympathetic frown appeared on his seemingly carved features, and he slowly moved even closer to her. There was no distance between their shoulders as the elf leaned over to whisper in her ear. "Only a fool would turn you away, Lyna." Kissing the girl's ear, he rested his head against hers, his gaze still following hers as they looked to the sky. I want you. The words started out as a thought, and then slowly made their way to his lips. His heartfelt admittance made another blush dust his features, but the tall male merely let his silver eyes stay on the moon. "There is someone who wants you, if you'll accept his heart."

Lyna blushed when she heard his words and felt him kiss her ear, she unconsciously leaned her head against his as he done to her. She took a deep breathe and let it out slowly, she closed her eyes as she thought about the words that he said to her. “Maybe, I want to accept his heart…..but I feel as if I can‘t because I can never really give him more then my self. That I might not be worth him because of that fact. I just don‘t feel like I am worth….him.” she whispered to him as some tears escaped her eyes, she still had them closed, she couldn’t bring her self to look at him even though she had very strong feelings for the man. She tilted her head until her hair completely covered her face, she felt to bad about her self that she couldn’t even bring herself to except Shusuke’s heart, she couldn’t tell him that she wanted to give her heart to him, she still was trying to get over the fact that she couldn’t really have a family like the other races.

(( Poor Lyna.))
Hearing the tears in her whispered voice, the elf listened to her for a moment before reaching over to slip an arm around Lyna's slender form. "Have you ever thought that you were enough?" he asked, moving to wipe her tears away. "More than enough for me, Lyna?" Turning her face toward him and gently brushing her hair behind her ears, the male kissed her forehead. The dark-haired elf blinked slowly, and tilted his head a bit as he considered the girl. "Why would you ever think otherwise?"

“I just….I am not enough. I am not whole…..Shusuke. What if you want kids one day……you really realize that I can‘t give them to you no matter how much I want too? I am just not enough……” Lyna whispered to him as she continued to cry, leaning into his embrace, she opened her eyes and looked at his chest that was right in front of her. She closed her eyes again, wrapping her arms around him and crying into his shoulder, she completely forgot that she had stripped down so that her clothes could remain dry or to dry out while she was in the water. You could say that she had low self esteem, after all she wanted to be a human even though that was virtually impossible, she was a Fairy and had to accept her role in life. She loved the Elf that was in her arms but she didn’t want him to be fully committed to her and then regret it later in his life, it was always the one thing that kept her back when she thought she found someone.

Batara's ears were open, probably too open as she heard many different movements around them. "Cesspool?" She said questioningly as she looked around warily. "What does that mean?" Her eyes then fell upon the a figure that pulled itself from between a few of the closer buildings. Her eyes narrowed at him as she growled; if she had been in her Unai form her ears would have no doubtedly been pinned back. Her eyes remained locked on the male, and though she continued to listen to Jason that wasn't where her alerted attention was locked onto. It was when he asked her what was wrong that the white haired girl looked at the male suddenly. "Something? Oh no," she said as she shook her head. "No, I am fine. I am just trying to take everything in is all. You humans are such a strange race, you do not seem all that observant, you are not predictable at times, and you arm yourselves to the teeth for a never aniticipated attack. It all just seems, different? I suppose? I do not know how to word this in your tongue." An embarrassed smirk came to her face as she scratched the back of her head for a moment before letting her arm fall back to her side, keeping her pace with him.
|
Jason gave her a serious glance as she described their entire race in just a few simple words. "Yes, humans are very independent and trust only those who are close to them. Sadly, the trust given to the ones close to a human are usually more poorly placed than trust given to a complete stranger. Deceit, revenge, and backstabbing are all very common acts in this race. There would be no sense trying to take it in either because when you finally have a good understanding, or think you do, the whole world and society changes and you're left in the background still trying to decipher the old 'scene'." Jason sighed when he then realized how poor this race stood to others. They had no teamwork except in war; when a man with certain beliefs who made it to the top of the ranks deemed it necessary. They'd follow like sheep when teamwork was suggested and keep to themselves when it wasn't. Jason's religion made him aware of these things.

Shusuke hushed Lyna, softly stroking her back and leaning his head on top of hers. "Oh Lyna," he whispered, hugging her tightly. His silver eyes moved to her face, and the elf lifted her face to look into his. "It would never be a mistake. You are not a mistake." Kissing her softly, he met her sorrowful gaze with one of determination. "You are most definitely whole enough for me." Instead of pushing her to accept him, Shusuke merely continued to hold her, his silver eyes moving to survey the others. "Are you tired?" he asked quietly, brushing his dark hair out of his face before reaching over to do the same for his friend.

((I know!!!!!! Believe it or not I feel like that sometimes because my family has a slight history of medical problems that would keep me from having children))
Lyna hugged Shusuke close to her, she didn’t want to let the man go but she knew that she was going to have to let him go, sooner or later, especially if he found someone else. She blushed as he kissed her softly, it was unexpected and she didn’t know how to react to it exactly, so she just ended up burying her face into his chest. “I am during the day…..that is when I am suppose to sleep….and stay out of the sun light. I can sleep now though if you are tired also.” She whispered to him, she still noticed that he was half dressed and that she was completely naked, but since he didn’t exactly notice it, she didn’t tell him about it. She then pulled her self away from him and moved towards her clothes, she pulled each piece on, one at a time before she got to her out layer, she looked down at it for a few moments before she pulled it back on.

As much as he wanted to stay awake and speak with Lyna, Shusuke knew he needed rest. "Do what you wish," he whispered as he stood, brushing against her gently as he stepped past her. "But, sadly, I need to sleep." A small yawn emphasized his words, and the tall elf moved toward his own pile of belongings. They were still wet, but would be dry by morning. Picking up his boots, shirt, and glasses, the long-haired youth glanced back toward Lyna, a soft expression on his features. "We should start traveling at night," he said quietly, moving to stand beside her until the fairy was finished. "Then you wouldn't have to worry about the sun weakening you."

“It just doesn‘t weaken me……it burns me…..you could say I am allergic to direct sunlight also. It is how I was created. That is why I wrap so tightly in my cloak….so I wouldn‘t get touch by it…and it is also why I wear clothes that almost completely cover me.” Lyna said to him as she turned towards him, she wanted to hold him close to her again, she wanted to not let him go but she had to especially since he could always find someone else. She smiled at him once she was done getting dressed, she made a slight jerking motion as she kept her self from hugging him again, it was a little embarrassing to know that he had basically seen her naked. She wasn’t shy about her body or her nakedness, it was just that she hugged the guy that she liked naked that had gotten to her. “Let‘s get some sleep.” she said to him as she smiled softly, a slight blush on her face as she moved towards the cave.

After a few moments Raiden noticed how he was alone out side at this point. Lifting his head up he caught how the others had moved into a nearby cave. He stood up and stretched his long, slender black body before walking over to the opening. He didn't go in though, that wouldn't do much good and he didn't need to sleep inside anyway. Rather, he lay down at the opening, keeping an eye on everyone. Resting his head back on his paws the Unai made sure to keep his ears open. If anything were to come near the group he would be waiting and ready, though he had a feeling the dragons would be do. That thought set him at ease a bit though he would not lower his guard.
"I shall do my best not to bother myself in trying to understand what your kind does and for what reasons then," Batara said with a slight chuckle, a small smile remaining on her face as she looked back in front of her and to where they were going. "Do not think that what I said was meant as a bad thing," she said, her face falling back to being serious as she looked back up at the male. "They were merely observations. I cannot say whether what your kind does is good or not because there have been times where humans have helped out the Unai. Though it is rare and the aid was not to my clan, word spreads fast among the six Unai clans." Her gaze went before her again, her eyes seeming to go out of focus as she tried to imagine the scene. "It was with the water tribe over at the Denver Cliffs. Some orcs were giving them a hard time, they left it alone for a while thinking that the orcs were just being orcs. It wasn't that though," she said shaking her head. "They were wanting the Unai land seeing as they couldn't grow any of their crops but the Unai were having no problem. There had been a group of humans out in the area and had taken interest in the Unai not long before this. They became welcome to the tribe. It ended up that they were military men of sorts, resourceful, quick and strong. When the orcs attack they fought beside the tribe, their men falling wounded and some dead along with my kind." Her eyes then went to the boy once again as she said, "They won though. It didn't take long for the orcs to leave Denver cliffs all together." After a few moments of silence the girl put a hand to her forehead as she shook it before looking at the ground. "I must sound foolish, I sound like a child getting excited by that story," she said embarrassed as she kept her eyes down and to where they were heading.

"A touching story and I wouldn't mind getting to know a little bit more about the history of the Unai clans. It would give us both something to do at the church since there isn't much to do there." They were nearing the cathedral that stretched far past the clouds and was flared with giant Gothic spires, gargoyles, and stone angels. Two religious, Templar-like knights stood guard at both sides of the two story-high doors. Jason pulled his hood back as they he guided Batara up the stairs and let his hair fall, which went down to his thighs. The guards remained silent as Jason pushed the door, which responded slowly and with a loud creak. "You first," he said simply.

It wasn't everyday that someone was interested in the Unai clans, let alone human. Those from the story were a rare occurance on their own, so was Esmme, but now Jason too? It caused Batara to think that maybe it was how secluded the clans made themselves that caused some humans to be warey of them, but not all. In fact she was starting to think that maybe, just maybe, more were interested in them than they were afraid of them. Yet with these thoughts she couldn't help but what the men at the door with extreme caution, though they seemed more like statues than actual guards that would attack them at the drop of a pin. When Jason ushered her in first, she looked at him for a moment, her eyes widening at how far down his hair went. She actually leaned back a little bit just to see how far down it did go; she actually found herself a bit jealous seeing as if her hair was down it only went to about her mind back, her braids undone only went a little lower than that. She was gauking at this point, not really being discrete about it either. Once she realized this her eyes went back to the menacing stone building and after staring at its architeture for a few moments, stepped through its threshold and took in the sights it had to offer.

While he given the long examination and stare, he gave her an odd look back. Before following Batara inside, he took a long look at a storm brewing above the city. It was a rather menacing and ominous look as large black clouds took control of the sky. Rain had not yet begun to fall, but lightening and thunder was giving it its cue. Jason threw away the thought and returned it to the girl he had brought along, following her after closing the large door behind him. The inside of the church was very dim and lit only by the outside light that found its way through the stained glass and small candles. There weren't very many priests there besides himself. Training was over and the last service of the day had just ended. "Shall we find a place to settle down? I'd like to hear more of your stories," he said softly after catching up to her.

Batara's footfalls slowly came to a stop as Jason spoke to her. She turned her head slightly to look at him. He definitly seemed different in here compared to how he just was; he was quiet and yet from the smells of the place she knew that it was a place of religion. Her own kind burned incense but it wasn't so much for religion as for medicinal purposes. "If that is what you wish to talk about," she said quietly in reply. She wasn't too sure what she would tell him though. There were the stories that they told the children, but that was all that they were stories. She tried not to think about it too much; she would let him ask what he wished to know of her kind and work from there. It was at least a starting place. "Where would you suggest?" She then looked about the remaining people occupying themselves with this and that. They were different from the people from the other town; they weren't staring at her like some form of royalty was among them. That relaxed her a bit, she knew that clothes meant something to humans but she wasn't aware that the craftsmenshp of her kind was thought of so highly.

Jason felt a little warm inside when he was around her and the longer he spent, the more his curiosity flared. "I suggest you follow me to a place where we can sit down in comfort. Unless you like the feeling of wooden benches," which was the furniture that sat in organized lines in front of the podium where the preacher would stand. He walked off ahead of her to a staircase that led to the upper levels of the massive church. He kept his eyes on her as he waited at the first step, tying his hair into a ponytail. She looked... Admirable in the darker setting.

Batara watched Jason walk away, a little confused at his comment about the wood benches. She didn't see what was so wrong with them, she lived in the woods after all and they didn't have benches. She didn't say anything though, she just watched as the male walked away without a problem in the lack of light. This confused her even more; she didn't know that humans could see well in the dark, she always heard they were quite blind then. Then again she didn't know how long he had been in there and it could have been the fact that he had just memorized the place like Unai did their villages. As he walked his long hair swayed back and forth across his back; this had the Unai's attention at least until he put it up and it became evident that he was waiting for her. She quickly caught up to him, though there was a nagging at the back of her mind. Before she could catch herself Batara had reached out and took Jason's ponytail in her hand, just allowing the strands to fall back into place. She was completely engrossed by this; it was indeed soft which surprised her quite a bit. Her eyes then snapped up to the steely gazed male and she quickly said, "Sorry, lead the way."

Jason gave another one of his very rare smiles and chuckled lightly. "I'm going to assume that you have about the same level of interest in my hair as I do in your race and history. Either that, or may it be a custom of your kind to touch ones hair?" He then twirled her hair as a response, going along with and joking about the obviously non-existent hair twirling tradition he teased her about. "I hope that you have no fear of heights," he muttered and then silence. Jason led her to the third level... from the top floor, which was forty-five stories up. A gently breeze blew into the spacious room that was just a few inches above the clouds, but low enough for a few atmospheric wisps to trail and wiggle along the floor.

Batara sucked in a breath as her face went red when he touched her hair, not so much over the fact that he was clearly teasing her but because of that touch and smile. She almost missed his comments about if she was afriad of heights or not and soon found herself with a difficult challenge, stairs. She wasn't used to them in the least so she found herself falling behind quite a bit. They were definitly a challenge, but then in clicked in her mind. Going up stairs was like climbing a tree, but only with your feet, and it's a very organized tree. She didn't want to find out what it was like to fall on these though. As soon as she had that in mind she was able to take the steps at least two at a time though at that point they had already reached their destination, at least floor wise.
"And as of your little comment earlier," she said voicing her other thoughts from the stairs. "No, it is not an Unai custom. We are animals, not human so it is common to touch more so than I would assume with your race. Oh and you should- Oh my gosh look at that!" Her sentence was cut off by one such wisp on the ground. Her index finger was pointing at it as she crouched low to follow it. Her Unai form soon took her human as she looked as though she were stalking it. Her ears were back and she was just about to put her nose to it when it was gone. Her head picked up quickly, ears straight up as she looked about trying to find it. Having no such luck she lifted her body up and looked out one of the cut holes in the wall thinking that it may have escaped. Her human form quickly came back at the sight. Her eyes scanned the dark clouds as lightening jumped from one to the other. "Look how high we are!" She exclaimed excitedly as she rose to her tiptoes. "You could probably see so far away from here too!"

Jason rolled his eyes since it was no surprise at how high they were. "I come here a lot to meditate since there is a much smaller chance of intrusion, the air is thinner, and the smell of ozone has always intrigued me." The room was large and octagonal in shape, the spiral staircase located in the middle of the room. Lightening crackled and the thunder that followed it instantly was loud enough to rumble the bones in ones body. He paid no mind to it and found a seat amongst an organized pile of cushions located against the wall next to a mid-sized pool with fountains lining the wall above, feeding water into it. The pillows had very intricate designs that represented many insignias of royalty and the fountains were the heads of Chinese fish.

Batara looked back over at Jason, he clearly was used to being up here unlike herself. He also wasn't as amused by the sights, but then again if she had seen it all the time than she wouldn't have either. She started to walk over to where he sat, much more careful about controlling herself this time. Her eyes locked on the small pool though as she walked around it. While she was walking she looked up a few times just to see if there were any holes in the ceiling, but there were none. The white haired girl finally sat down amongst the pillows, her eyes glued to the pool. "How did you get the water in here?" She asked him, her gaze locked on as if she looked away for even a moment then body of water would be gone. She wasn't about to take any chances. It was going to be hard enough to explain this to her brother if she saw him again.
