"it will be a pain that I know will mean that I will be going back to be with you for a while not be here on earth. it wont be like..." Sam looked over to where Gwyn had been. "not like that." Seeing a cab Sam pulled Fate with him and waved it down. the cabbie smiled at them a knowing sweet smile.
"so where ya love birds headed?" sam blushed deeply and hid his face behind his hair as they slid into the cab.

Fate's cheeks reddened a bit but he just smiled, sitting beside Sam and letting the other dark-haired man bury his head into his chest. "To the nearest animal shelter, please." He said in that deep, british accented voice of his, smiling softly at the cabbie before petting Sam's hair. "Don't be shy.Neither of us are ashamed of our love, you know." He said softly, chuckling. "You're just too cute, Sam."

"ah yah goin' ta save a perdy one in need are ya?" the cabby asked as they drove away. he seemed quite happy to talk to them as he drove. "so ya goin' ta be saving a pup or a perfect mouse trap?" the driver watched them from his mirror. Sam kept his face hidden as he cuddled closer to Fate. his fingers slowly working their way up into Fates hair.

" 'Mouse trap'.Two of them." Fate smiled. "Never had good luck with dogs. Nothing against them, but I'm better with cats." Fate said, gently holding Sam's free hand. He looked out the window for a moment, seeing a bunch of skeletal-print hoodies in the crowd around a large accident. A fire was started in the kitchen of an apartment building and there was a crowd staring, firetrucks blaring past. The hoodied figures headed into the building rather nonchalantly, finding all of the straying souls, and it was made obvious now that Reapers were actually very merciful and kind, more than just Fate. Half of the small group came out with someone in theri arms, an entire family that were trapped inside. Fate waved to one that looked at him, and the young reaper waved back. he had a large thick burgundy braid coming out of his hoodie over his shoulder, and beautiful eyes, a kind smile. Charon. Behind him was his team, all had a burgundy pin on their hoodies with a white skull, with oars for crossbones, the insignia for Charon's team. Everyone but Charon headed off in the ambulances, leaving Charon to handle the rest.

Flames were now behind Charon in various colors, little fireballs, just sort of floating there in a gorup behind him. Sam would be able to see them, but only Fate could see the true forms of these recently desceased people, crying and clinging to each other, before Charon headed off in teh last ambulance, with the little trail of souls coming along with.

"Don't worry, we'll stop seeing them soon, I'll be the last left." Fate softly whispered to Sam. "That was Charon.He's very kind, he helped Ilsa, and that other young child.He's headed off to oversee that girl's mother, and the injured." Fate smiled.

Sam had hidden his face the whole time so did not see the other Reaper and his group dealing with the deaths. He was not going to look when Fate commented about them. they would be gone and he would have his kitten or cat, and then it would just be them. hopefully he would not have to deal with others popping in and reminding him that he was to die soon. He wanted to be strong and not be so scared of dyeing. He had this great guy that carried for him that would be there after his death, and would even see him through the death. Sam looked up through his lashes at Fate. ‘he is a strong man, stronger then I will ever been. I don’t know if I deserve him.’
The cabby kept just a rambling talk all the way to the pound, mostly it was about some family member and their new pet that had taken off and done some damage to the neighbors dog. It really was not clear what the pet had been or how it had hurt the dog. “well here ya be, hop’n ya find da one right.” the cabby pointed to the meter as Sam got out of the cab.

Fate paid for the ride and stepped out, waving goodbye to the cabby. "No more worries now, love.I'm the only psychopomp in this city now, Charon was the last." He said, kissing Sam's head. "Let's go find us a couple of cute furballs." He chuckled. "I'm sure Schrödinger and my other two will love the company, they're very friendly."

(Sam has made a bit of a cameo in Gwyn's rp on Solia, Fate mentioned him, and brought some of his cooking over for Holden, Gwyn's new boy.Of course, in that rp Sam's been dead for a year. X3; )

"It was not that he was here in the city, I don't really care if they are here in the city love." Sam sounded a bit upset. "its that I keep seeing them in the process of taking their assignment away. it is like now that I know that I am to die I am seeing death every where." wrapping his arm around Fate's back he made sure that no skin was tuching as they walked into the main room of the humane society.

"It's one of the many downsides to being the lover of a reaper I guess..I promise now, you won't see any more." he said as they walked through the front door of the building. "You lead the way darling." He smiled, as he reached into his pocket for a pair of black gloves, so they could hold hands without his touch making Sam go numb.

“So what do I get to do to you if I do see more?” a smiled slowly blossomed on his face. The sounds of cats and dogs assaulted them as they walked in. a young man behind the desk looked up and sighed. He seemed rather unhappy about something. His eyes said he was board and slightly disgusted. Sam quickly grabbed Fates hand as the glove went on and then pulled him along to one of the side doors. The man snorted and rolled his eyes as they disappeared down the hall. The sound of cats calling out grew louder. “kitten or full grown?” Sam stopped at one of the rooms set up for people to play with the cats. At the moment the room was emptied but it would not take too much to get some felines to fill the room.

"You can punish me in any way you seek fit. I am powerful, but it is not hard for you to control me, as you can see." Fate said softly as they walked down the hall. "I do love kittens, but full grown cats need homes more." Fate smiled. He seemed to be trying to appear as human as possible to Sam, the only skin showing now was his face and neck, barely any risk now of them touching.

“so for each death that I see you will owe me one wish no matter what it is.” Sam smiled and then pushed the call button for assistants. As he looked out of the door of the room they had taken over the screen near the button lit up and a young woman’s face appeared in it.
“how can I be of assistance?” her voice was soft but sweet. Her eyes seem to twinkle as she saw fate. she could not see Sam as he was just off camera.

"You have every wish in the world this month, darling.There's no need.You get that simply for knowing of your fate.Thank my baby brother I guess." Fate chuckled, then looked back up as Sam pressed the call button. "We'd like to meet some of the cats you have, adults preferably." He said, smiling kindly to the girl.

Looking back at Fate sam shock his head. He moved back so that the woman could see both of them in the camera. “umm preferable we would like the adult cats that work well with other adult cats. We are actually looking for two cats that will like to travel. My friend and I love to travel but would also like some cats that like to do that too.” As he was speaking the woman’s face went from cheery and a look of ‘these guys are going to bring the cats back quickly’ to a look of surprise and mental debate on what cat would fit their needs.
“let me see what I can find, we will have the cats brought in to you.” her face disappeared from the screen as she turned to look at her computer monitor. Turning to face Fate Sam sighed.
“I was meaning that I would get my wish for each one I saw, but not in this month but after I die silly.” Walking over sam sat down next to Fate, to wait for the cats to come.

"Fine with me either way." Fate smiled. "Anything for you." He lightly kissed Sam on the forehead. "The only spot I can think of where you would see any of that is when we go to see my father in London. You almost HAVE to see a death to meet him on this side. You'll like his brother Hypnos and my cousins, the Oneiroi, as well I think. Morpheus at least.. Ikelos is less pleasant and Phantasos is a bit.. odd."

“so your saying that even though you said I would not have to see death occur again I will have to to meet your dad?” smileing sam turned as the door he had closed was opend and a beautiful cat was brought in. the cat looked like a mix between a Russian blue and an Egyptian mau. The fur was the blue color but the body build was Egyptian mau.
“this is Bast, she is a half breed Egyptian Mau” the man that carried her set the cat down and smiled. “the others will be coming soon.”

"You don't HAVE to, but I'm saying it's hard to avoid, when my father is death itself." He said rather quietly as the man came in with Bast.

"She's gorgeous.." Fate smiled widely at the cat, getting a little twinkle in his eye as he saw her.He got down onto the ground in front of her and coaxed her over, gently petting the soft fur on her head.What Fate said about cats liking him was made rather evident as he had her purring already.

“She was a rescue from a collector who collected both Russian blues and Egyptian mau’s. But we are unsure whether she is actually Russian blue.” The man smiled as Bast after walking up to them, she jumped into Sam’s lap. Her eyes always fallowing Fate even as she purred her happiness that Sam was petting her. Her face seemed to say “well Fate are you going to come over here and pet me too?”

Fate sat beside Sam again and petted Bast gently. "She seems it a bit, pure Egyptian Maus don't quite look like this, I don't think.. Is she normally so friendly?" He chuckled. "Although, I'm used to the other cats I've had, and they were a bit more on the skittish side."

“she is usually not this friendly. It usually takes her a few minents more for her to take an interest in some ones lap but other then that she is acting like herself.” The man smiled. “you two are cute together.” With that he walked back out of the room closing the door behind him.
“She seemed nice.” Sam slowly petted Bast. “do you think we should go for the frist cats that seem nice or wait to see all of them?”

"She's gorgeous, but I would wait to see at least a few others, to be sure we pick the perfect ones." Fate said, looking up at Sam through his thick fringe, which he parted to the side a bit to see Sam's face better.

“she is,” the tone in sam’s voice was one of falling in love with her. “I would only like to have two but I am worried if they are all this sweet I don’t think I can only pick two.” Bast looked up at them then purred, the look of a smile on her face.

"There are also my cats on the other side I'm sure you'll love, they're such sweet little darlings." Fate chuckled.

The man returned with a pretty mixed breed cat in his arms, he had grey tabby-patterned fur and one blue eye, one brown, and he was rather thin. "This is Rasmus.He's a mix, he's a bit skittish but once you show him you won't hurt him, he'll warm up to you." He said, setting the rather young adult cat down.

"Oh, I love him.." Fate said, seeming to fall in love with the shy young male cat. "Oh Sam, he has your eyes almost!" He said, getting down to gently, slowly approach Rasmus.

“Are you saying that I am a cat?” Sam blushed as he spoke, he did not know why but he did. Maybe someday he would understand why. He watched Rasmus as he slowly walked over to Fate and sniffed him. He was happy to see the shy little cat take a liking to Fate, Sam could think of no one that could have a problem falling for Fate. “so are you wanting that one?”

"You're sweet like one.Your eyes remind me of an odd-eyed cat's. Nothing wrong with it, I mean it as a complement." He said, gently petting the rather shy cat, who flinched away a bit before letting him.The thin cat purred deeply, rubbing his face into Fate's gloved hand. "Yes, he's so perfect.."

"You have some sort of power over cats." The worker chuckled lightly. "I don't think I've ever heard him purr like that. His last owner didn't treat him well, so he's always a bit shy around people. He's only a year old we think.."

"Rasmus... It's swedish, means 'beloved'. What a sweet name.." Fate said softly, rubbing behind the little tabby's ears.

Sam blushed again and hid his eyes under his hair as he looked down at Bast. She seem to be enjoying herself. “I don’t think I am that much like a cat.”
