Dandelioness:
"Dollhouse" has been stuck in my head. I was humming and singing it today. :) So, you could say that I like it! I think the concept of the song is clever, and the music video is definitely awesome. Highly recommend to anyone who's reading this!
I just listened to "Bittersweet Tragedy." Unfortunately, I have to say that I prefer "Dollhouse" much more. I don't normally enjoy listening to sad music, but "Dollhouse" was one of those exceptions ^_^
salvete: Hmm I wouldn't call 'Dollhouse' a sad song though I the subject it's addressing is kind of. It was stuck in my head too for quite a while. Yes, the video is amazing! That part where the brother is taking his place on the bed and he smiles slightly, he looks so exactly like a doll, it's wow. So much effort must have gone into making the video, it's so elaborate and perfect.
When I'm happy I don't need to listen to happy music, and I can't really stand the kind of shallow music that just raps out 'Party all night' or something. I don't usually like music that's just as well not made at all, because it doesn't make any difference to me, the industry, or anyone or anything.
You might like Carousel, I found it just as catchy as Dollhouse. I didn't like the video or lyrics much at first because it was like she was trying to be creepy but not making sense, but gradually I got all the metaphorism.
Dandelioness: I have to say that I prefer "Dollhouse" much more than "Carousel." Maybe if I listen to "Carousel" a couple more times, I will grow to like it some more (and understand the double-meaning behind the lyrics).
salvete: Yup I did ^_^ Cool huh. To know that ex-reality-show-participants are actually successful sometimes ^_^ I liked her performance of Alex Clare's 'Too Close' on the voice, I liked how she pretty much transformed the song.
