I'm clearly someone who loves backgrounds, because I think they help tell a more complete story. But look at this one - everything goes into telling a story.

The cute devil girl (red skin, creepy eyes, and drill curls), the sexy Queen of Darkness costume, the glaive speaking to a warrior background... And most importantly, that expression of petulance. Did someone not take her as Seriously Evil Here? Or is she being asked to "be" Seriously Evil and just not having the heart for it?

Honestly, a background might have taken away from it all, distracting from the juxtapositions of cute/sexy/evil and the expression that makes the avatar for me might have been lost in the shuffle.

Bad wolf!

This doesn't bode well for Red Riding Hood. Either she's already been captured and eaten by the wolf (who then stole her cute little outfit!) or Little Red is about to meet her evil lupine twin. Can you imagine running into a beast late at night and realizing that they're not only prettier than you, but they can use that elysian blade?! Shoot, even without the weaponry, I'd be scared of that scowl! Time to run back into my house, lock the doors and wait until morning - Grandma can survive on her own for a couple more hours, right?
