I don't think meditation is boring, Amane, I just find that I don't have the attention span to make myself sit and be mindful for a very long time.
Earlier this year I got way into meditation and every day at 3:30pm I would shut off all of my electronics, light up some sage, lay down on my bed and meditate for 30 minutes.

I was forced to take DBT group therapy sessions as a teen after I was discharged from inpatient treatment in the hospital for the second time and they taught us how to use Mindfulness to meditate. Back then, I absolutely hated it. Thought it was bullshit and didn't work, but then earlier this year I thought I would try it again and I really liked it a lot.

@2600

That's really cool. I never had a garden myself, but I have grown vegetables on my deck before. I've grown tomatoes, mint, cilantro, strawberries (which was a fail because only one strawberry grew from that plant), lemon balm. I mostly grow herbs when I do grow things. And for those things that I can't or don't want to grow myself, I just buy at the farmer's market for really cheap. It's all organic too.

Hooray for farmers markets! Growing food can definitely be difficult. It is always trial and error. I used to have some herbs in my room at college. They grew for a while, but then after a few months they stopped growing because they weren't getting enough sunlight. DX Hence why I go for the succulents now. Dry and wet weather doesn't really bother them.

I love the farmer's market! It sucks that it's not available all year 'round here, though.
But that's why I shop at my local co-op, where things are mostly local and organic. I do my best to eat local, it's better for the earth and usually it helps out small family farms which is also nice.

I really love supporting local farms if I can. :D
Just my way of giving back to those who work so hard to bring us healthy food.

My mind doesn't work that way, and it doesn't let me try to get it to. My mind owns me like a cat. All I want to do is get up, move around, and laugh about things that happened years ago. Oh, and eat, of course. I've read over and over that that's normal, but I cannot power through it.

We're growing runner beans again this year. They're hairy and you tend to find them stuck to your clothing.

I would love to grow blueberries. Growing plants without bugs is a thing, isn't it? I mean, momma never talked about having bugs in her plants when she kept them. Are they spontaneously generated in the soil and you never find out?

I know, bugs and worms are really good for plants. I like the thought of growing blueberries, but I don't like bugs and worms.

When I grew herbs in the kitchen, we used to get a billion gnats all over the plants...
I don't know how they got there, I don't know WHY they were there, but somehow they figured out how to multiply and attempt to destroy our plants.

My mom learned that putting lemon peels around the plants would keep them away so we tried it and it worked!

Even Miley Stewart is a little edgy for how "good" I am.
