Your tastebuds change as you grow. Pre-puberty, you want a lot more sugar. As you get older, you start to like spicy, salty, and bitter a lot more. So by the time you're old enough to drink, beer actually tastes decent;D

well the thing is is that I dont think you taste the salt.....doesn't it make it sweeter or something? XDD i forgot, i haven't had it in SO long XP

Yeah, pretty much. I like to be able to taste the salt, but its like sweet and sour chicken or chocolate covered pretzels, the opposing taste makes the sweet stand out more.

I disagree about beer. I still think it's nasty. But I do eat a lot of foods now that I wouldn't eat as a kid. Seafood (not fish), eggs, cheese, jalapinos (sp?), strawberries, etc.

Edit: I've always considered the tomato to be a fruit.

well i've only tasted one beer and didn't like the taste to much.....but I still have 3 years until i can officially have one XDD *shh shh* lawlies

Let's see, my friend's argument for it being a vegetable is the fact that its seeds are on the inside, but lots of fruits have pits. I dunno. It still seems more fruity to me. It's kinda like a big berry.

lawl to me I got 3 arguments:
1. Its a veggie on a burger.....you don't have FRUIT on your burger! It's veggies, lettuce, onions, TOMATO, etc. XDD
2. It grows from the ground like most other veggies (well theres a actually a device where you can grow them in the air, but THATS NOT THE POINT! XP)
3. Theres Bob the TOMATO on VeggieTales man! kids are just confused now HA HA!

1. I don't eat anything on my burger but ketchup
2. Melons are fruits and they grow from the ground
3. Bob's in denial.

Mango on Salmon is surprisingly good. I hate fish but if it's cooked with mango (and I forget what else, some other fruit) then it's really good. And I've never heard of salt on fruit before. Perhaps I should try it sometime.

Yeah I agree with Tomato being called a fruit. A fruit is something that protects the seeds of a plant and is accessory tissue, something that grows off the plant, while a vegtable is part of the plant, like a root or stem or leaf.

I know they're both really popular but I can't stand pickles or mustard. I even find their smell nasty... My tastes haven't changed at all yet. Maybe I'll find I like them later.

I've never had beer and I don't know if I will. I think I'll stick to my vodka and rum thank you ^^

i'm actually arguing this because of Bob the Tomato....I LOVE VeggieTales, but they had to stop making shows with Bob because he's a freakin TOMATO! nooouuu!

Would anyone be shocked if I said I'd never watched Veggietales? I don't think I've even watched any of the movies. My sisters loved it though.
