one of the anita blake books was a lucky day book which means i could've checked it out for 2 weeks plus it wouldn't have holds on it but i didn't get it bcuz i'm really behind on the series and the book was called bullet I was so tempted to get it but then i would be hopelessly lost and i'm still behind on reading.

the anita blake series are my favorite. and laurell k. hamilton has been my favorite author for the past couple of years. i recently re-read all her books. and now i just started to read bullet. ebooks are my friend. well until i find the book cheaper at a used book store.. books are expensive.

o.o wut? really? Jean-Claude doesn't look tan to me o.o although Edward does a bit XD oh, maybe you're just talking about how they're trying to make it look 3Dish :P yea, that does make the characters look darker....but then again, that's just a type of art style.

yea, it is kind of confusing if you don't start at the beginning, unlike the Anita Blake books :d and keep on reading, you'll get what I mean about "not two" ;) lmao XD

While I've never read the Merry Gentry series... I do very much so love the Anita Blake Series. I think that it's very well written and that Laurell is a wonderful writer. She has so many elements in her books it's like reading the lives of at least 3 different people all in the same main character. I read the prequel... I think that's what it was... when he was just a zombie raiser and didn't have anything to do with the police or hunting down vampires and I think she made an amazing move switching it from that to what Anita actually is. ^.^

I have all but the very newest in both Anita Blake and Meredith Gentry. I'm waiting to be able to find it at my local bookstore. They like to stock 100 of the first 10 in the Anita Blake series and maybe 1 or 2 of the Merideth Gentry set. It's really hard to get the newest one. So I just keep looking when I stop in. These days I don't buy many books though. I have two internships reviewing novels and I pick off their lists and get the books for free. I'm so busy with those anymore that for the first time in my life, I have a stack of 3 or 4 books i haven't even read yet. :P
