But I have a friend in the UK who tried some at her local international market and she said they were awesome. She said, "They're American!" And I was like... "Uhm.. are they??? I've never seen them! !"

Oh my god, I just realised how huge oreo packets are in America. The biggest we have are two wrapped up rolls in a box haha and not all places have those.

Crisco is just a glorified word for lard.
It can contribute to some flaky pie crusts and crispy fried chicken...but it will also clog one's arteries!
Do people still have Crisco parties? They used to be popular in the 70's and 80's...but I also believe that those parties contributed to many an STD and UTI. (sexually transmitted disease and urinary tract infection)
