erik shrugged.
"it should be. if not, you guys got a hospital?"
tilting his head as he looked to jack.

Jack shook her head. "No hospital, there's a small doctor's office, but thats it." She sighed. "Besides, hospitals are always bad ideas in zombie movies...."

Riley silently listened to Erik and Jack talk about a plan. She secretly thought about giving up, but then knew that it would be useless to do so. She wondered if there were any guns or matches she could use. Unfortunately she couldn't shoot very accurately. She wondered how immune zombies were to fire. It was a form of light right? She shrugged, agreeing with Jack. This was already as surreal as a movie with the zombies, they might as well know the format.

Jack looked over to Riley, "So, how are you holding up?" She smiled a little sadly, and rubbed her chin. "Do you have any thoughts on our plan? Any better ideas?"

"Eh, still thinking of a plan. I suppose we could go to the mall, but then again there was that one game for the Xbox, and I don't think it turned out well for the hero." Riley bit her lip, trying to think of something else.

Jack shook her head, pulling out a cigarette and lighting it up. "There's no mall in town, and it wouldn't be a very defensible position, most likely." She sighed. "I guess we'll stick with what we've got." She looked in anticipation towards the city, which was probably another 10 minutes away.

Posting as: GOD!!! The zombies were almost all out of the tree-line, and starting to make their way down the highway into town. The Zombies were slow enough that they shouldn't reach the town for at least 2, maybe 2 and a half hours.

erik walked towards the town still, occasionally pulling off pop shots to try and improve his aim.
"alright. well, show us the way, princess."
nodding to jack.

Jack rolled her eyes, did a mock curtsy, and pointed towards the super market, which was located near the center of town. "That way." She fed another piece of jerky to Fredrick, and munched on a few pieces herself, taking occasional sips from her water bottle. She offered both to Erik and Riley, seeing if they wanted any.

Posting as: GOD!!! Fredrick wolfed down the jerky Jack had held down for him, then trotted over to Erik, rubbing against his leg, looking for affection. He looked up at him, his big puppy eyes sort of sad, his wagging hopefully.

erik chuckled and bent down as he walked, petting the small dog lightly before standing again and continuing to walk.
"alright. well, once we get there, we better work fast. cause we gotta worry about alot more than those ghosts...."
he shrugged and scratched his head.
"anyone know what happens if the ghosts get ya?"

Jack shook her head. "Nope, but I'm really not that curious to find out. I doubt any good would come of it." She ruffled her hair, "I think we can get set up pretty quick, we just need to grab supplies, then set up camp, with lots of lights, on the roof."

erik nodded.
"either way, i'd rather be sitting up there waiting than running around hoping."
he shrugged and leveled his gun towards a rock on the ground a couple yards away, taking a moment to aim, and firing.

Jack nodded, watching Erik shoot at the rock. Like I said before though, we do need a game plan. We should try to make to that safe zone I heard about."

Posting as: GOD!!! The pellet struck the rock, and ricocheted away, disappearing into the fields that now lined the road. Fredrick took off after it, but lost it quickly. he ran about in the field for a short time, searching for whatever had flown by him, but soon gave up and trotted back to the group of people that had saved him.

erik nodded as he hit the rock and put the pellet gun away, looking to the cross at his wrist and putting his hands in his pockets.
"yea, we should try and make it there. we'll have to prepare for the night tonight, and tomarrow get ready to leave. or, maybe... maybe we can prepare tonight..."
he thought for a second.
"if there's an entrance to the store from the roof, the power should still be on... we'll just have to see how the zombies are at night..."
he nodded.

Jack nodded, "The shadow things only are here at night, so daytime might be better. It depends on how many zombies are here...."

Posting as: GOD!!! The group got to the edge of town. The town appears to be completely deserted, except for a few ACTUALLY dead bodies.

erik nodded and looked around the town.
"well, what happened to everyone here, anyway? did they run away?"
tilting his head as he spoke.

Jack nodded, "Most people ran, I didn't really see much of what was going on, because I was locked up in jail when it first happened." She looked down, smiling as if amused by the thought.

erik laughed openly.
"what'd you do, anyway? shoplifting?"
tilting his head as he chuckled and looked to jack.

Jack rolled her eyes. "No, I don't get caught for that, it was repeated breaking and entering, with a little vandalism and possesion." She sighed. "Not as bad as I used to do back home, but I got caught a lot less there...."

erik tilted his head.
"possession? of what?"
putting his hands behind his head as he walked.

Jack laughed. "Marijuana, and alcohol." She shook her head, making her mohawk jump about erradically. "Not really a big deal, wouldn't have even gotten in trouble for it in the city, but the sheriff here was a lot more strict." She suddenly looked a bit sad at the thought of the sheriff. She sighed. "May he rest in peace."

erik sighed, haven't not really known the man.
"yea... well..."
he gave a few moments to thought.
"you got any of that pot left?"
looking to her with a cocked head.

Jack laughed. "I wish, the sheriff took it. If we stop by the station, we might be able to find it, and my booze. I don't know."

erik laughed and nodded.
"is it on the way?"
laughing still as he continued to move on.

Jack shrugged. "More or less" She wondered whether or not it would still be there, and wether it would be a good idea to be intoxicated at a time like this.

Posting as: GOD!!! The zombies were completely out of the forest now, shambling slowly down the highway, moaning ceaselessly. The group walked into the town, headed towards the supermarket, and the town still appeared empty.

erik chuckled.
"well, if we run by it, it'd be a good way to celebrate our victory. so we can keep it, and i'll keep a cigar, until we're safely out of danger..."
he nodded with a soft smile.
"we'll get through this, just gotta be strong."
