@CrowI was curious about other sites,and this one looked nice.Once I started reading the rules..well I really like that we're actually supposed to converse in proper English and I love the fact that we have a spell check for when we write posts! That's probably my favorite feature of this site so far. :)

PapillonCameo- I personally enjoy how you make more gold :gold:, the longer your post is. Therefore, people are rewarded for spelling out their words, aditionally using larger vocabulary words. What forums of the site have you checked out? Are you a roleplayer, or a person who is obsessive about avatar ratings, layerings? What about the hangouts in "The Menwsha Nations", there are so many that there is bound to be one that appeals to you, or you could create your own

I posted in the 'where did you come from' newbie thread, and I noticed that somebody had a link for this charity in their signature. I clicked on it, and ended up saying hello. I figured that meeting a few people couldn't hurt.
My friend actually told me about Menewsha, because she wanted to roleplay with me, so I figured that I'd make an account. Besides, it's a rather darling little site--much better than other avatar-based forum sites that I've seen.

visi- That's cool to hear. What type of roleplaying are you into? I have a friend who is running a sort of Vampire: the Masquerade derived/inspired game.

The_Crow - I really like fantasy stuff, but I'll roleplay just about anything depending on how desperate I am to write.
What about you? What are your hobbies?

My very first job was working at a gaming store, so I love trading card games (Magic: the Gathering), and stand alone card games like Munchkin. When I host gatherings they usually consist of games and going to get food. I also enjoy a variety of anime, and I enjoy the local goth/industrial scene in San Francisco. I've been pretty down and antisocial as of late, though.

You sound like a very fun person indeed. :D

"Industrial Rock", in it's current form, is basically the fusion of 80's metal and 80's electronica. For examples, think of just abotu any Nine Inch Nails song you have heard, or anything played in a Mortal Kombat movie soundtrack. There are loads of other sub-genres too, but that should give you the basic idea.

If you wander into the "Life Issues" forum (actually it may be a subforum), I go on in more detail about the annoyances I face day after day in my life. The most disturbing thing is that my father threw himself in front of a high speed commuter rail train in order to commit suicide but he somehow barely missed and ended up with his right arm nearly torn off and his right foot broken.

Hi, I spotted your little thread think it's a nice idea. I've not been on Menewsha long, actually I just signed up today but I think that getting gold for the length of your post is such a good idea. It sort of encourages everyone to talk with each unlike other avatar sites

visi- By the way, you do qualify for some gifts from the charity if I am not mistaken. Please re-read the rules on the first page so that you don't forget anything important (incomplete forms make me sad and delay your freebies). PM me the form and you'll have some donations on your way.

Additionally, my charity covers a pretty wide scope of topic, but anyone going in too deep on personal or relationship issues might tend to 'scare off' new users. Everyone is welcome to post as long as they refrain from asshattery. We welcome new users and need seasoned ones to answer any questions. I have been having so many problems lately that I created a life issues thread. I will link to it, and will probably be adding more shortly. Please be aware that this may change your perception of me from a 'friendly charity host' to... I cannot say what to be sure. (link)

And just because you have problems doesn't mean that I'll change my opinion of you. Everybody has problems, and we all have to learn to deal with them in our own, personl ways. It's just how life works. Besides, why would I judge you based on your problems? That just seems silly....if I were to judge you, it might be on how you treat others or something like that, and even then judging is still bad. (Of course, if i were to judge based on your hospitality, I'd say that you're a rather fine person indeed.)

visi- Being overly judgemental is a bad thing, but human brains judge and categorize all the time. You see a pot, on the stove, with either a flame or red coil underneath. You will probably 'judge' that it is hot based on your observation and not burn yourself on it.

When you move to people instead of inanimate objects it gets tricky but our brains try to do the same thing. My guess is you qualified with posts before your gold count skyrocketed, and the starter dress isn't much but I have a rather special gift with you in mind that's a bit silly but not cheap.

I'll be staying at a not-home for Christmas my 3rd year in a row. Ever since Dec. 22, 2008, I lost somebody who was closer to me than the lot of my 'step family' in the vicinity combined. In additional news, Santa Claus has died this year.

I have semi good news, I will be able to pass my exam if I study hard enough. XD!

But the semi bad news is I should of just stuck it out with the other course and got a C. >_<; Now I "owe" monies to the college. :( I guess I better try my best to make the best of it.
