@ Paper crane, Some are quite beautiful, but most of the ones around here are just brown.

I saw some amazing moths at the St. Louis butterfly pavilion, their wings were brown on the outside and iridescent blue on the inside.

Insects are crazy; they can be packed in luggage by accident and travel to other countries without even paying for a ticket, hahaha. It's how Alaska got moths; we never used to have them.

It's pretty funny looking back and telling the story, but I was pretty surprised to look up at a light fixture and see this giant moth watching me shower.
I did have a battle with it, naked and toweled, just swinging this master broom all over the washroom until I managed to get a hit combo on it. I swept it outside, but when I was finished with the shower, it was nowhere to be found.
Either this is the same moth, or it sent an assassin!

Same here.

I've never been afraid of moths because my mom explained them to me as poor butterflies. So I still think of them as butterflies that couldn't afford pretty wings... so sad.

Wow, that's incredible. Do you think it was to attract mates? Although, I've heard that moths use aromas to attract mates. Most of them here are brown, but their wings are still made of that bizarre shimmery powder, almost like eyeshadow. I think they're beautiful and mysterious, but terrifying. I don't know that I could ever really hurt a moth enough to kill it, but I might knock it down and shoo it outside.

This pavilion, is it permanent?

I have about three outfits that I'll rotate, simply out of habit. I love the flowers on either side of the head; I've got the green ones, and was going for the blue next.
