Hihi, all! Sorry I wasn't on yesterday -- my cousins dragged me out to the VAMPS concert here in Los Angeles. We stood in line for two hours to get in, then stood waiting for another hour for the concert to start. It was my first ever rock concert (yes, I'm pathetically sheltered and old-fashioned) and probably my last. I had a good time, but it wasn't good enough for the foot and back pain, and even though I had earplugs, my head is throbbing today...

Anyway, requests received, and I'll send them off in a minute!

And excuse me for disappearing.
I took a break from the computer and watched the new Sherlock Holmes film c:

Hah. Sounds like you had fun. I haven't been to a rock concert in ages. They're helluva fun, even if you end up dead tired afterwards.

Well, I'm quite an introvert, so being around that many people doesn't pump me up the way it does extroverts. I'm also a classical musician, and I'm used to that kind of concert. You know, where you SIT. :P

You're very welcome! How was the Sherlock Holmes movie? I've heard mixed things about it.

I've seen it earlier this year in a theatre, but I can gladly re-watch it.
I believe that speaks for itself. If not, then I'll say this - I enjoy it dearly.

I admire how the dynamic duo are portrayed. Dr. Watson is an irreplaceable, intelligent companion, while Holmes is quite crazy and never likes sitting still.
Exactly how I imagine them being.
The story is intriguing as well. Creating a completely new case for such a popular series was risky, but the film makers succeeded.



And back on the subject of rock concerts, I'm not very keen of large crowds and strangers myself. But every now and then, I do enjoy them. And if they happen to share at least some interests with me (like say, fascination with the same type of music), that makes it all better c:

I went with my cousins, who were the ones who got the tickets. I didn't know the group, but I watched a few of their songs' videos and thought it would be okay. The distortion was really high, though, and you couldn't hear what notes they were playing. And it was so loud, even through earplugs. I enjoyed spending time with my cousins, since I don't see them often, even if we don't connect on many levels. But the standing, and the waiting, really killed it for me.

I heard that some people thought the film was a bit too James Bond for the spirit of Sherlock Holmes. But I should rent it and judge for myself. :)

Oh well. At least you don't regret it, right? c:

And I suppose the new film does give off an extremist vibe, but as I mentioned before, it fits the character. At least that's my opinion.

Nope, I don't regret it. I've got blisters, and my head is ringing a bit, but it was a good time.

I'll definitely check out the film when I get a chance! I remember when the billboards first went up in my area; it looked pretty cool.

Well that's good.

Also if you won't love the film, I'm quite sure you will at least somewhat enjoy it. It has a way of pulling you in.
