i have a wicked mainer accent... it comes out a lot when i am tired or drunk lol

i can too. like seriously. my dad had trouble understanding me cuz i talk so fast. and i have a problem with enunciation sometimes.

Wings: XD I bet. I know my West Virginia cousins have to slow it down a bit too, sometimes. It's not Deep South slow, but they do still have a drawl. Hard to describe or mimic that accent. :) I have a lower peninsula Michigan accent, whatever that means. (It means boring.)

lol. I HATE when my accent comes out. words feel different in your mouth when your accent comes out. it's strange.

b/c of how strong it is. If you could hear me talk you'd understand. I have a REALLY strong accent, and when my fellw texans can hear it it means it's really bad.

I've been around and people say they don't hear an accent. I think I just sound....normal.

huh. I really want to go up to a random european and be like "do i have an accent?"

we did that in NYC and they said no.

I bet anyone in England would tell you you had an accent, Kat. :) Or Scotland. Or Australia...

should have tried it in europe b/c i think there is a general american accent and then specific american accents. just like texas you know someone from the backwoods of texas the moment you hear them speak

hm....well, that tourguide at the Normandy beaches didn't think so.....or at least she was sure we weren't texan.

You know I wonder if the reason people don't recognize an actual Texan accent is b/c they exaggerate them in the movies? I mean I know I have an accent and I can hit movie bad but not all the time.
