I have a turquoise 3DS.
In Harvest Moon you grow crops and raise livestock. There are certain festivals that you can participate in and you give people presents to make them more friendly with you. Eventually you can married and have kids too. It's hard to get into at first because you don't really know who likes what or what you should be doing. I think that's why I didn't really like the older games so much.
There's also a story to each game, usually revolving around the Harvest Goddess in some way.

Sounds pretty interesting, maybe there will be a normal DS version second hand or something I could find..
I don't like games where you can't just save where you are too. Games are supposed to be fun, not mess up your real life routines!

I have a black 3DS, I bought it after my DS Lite was stolen. :/
If I didn't have one already I might have considered buying one of the XL packages.

The one I'm playing now, Tale of Two Towns, is available on DS and 3DS so you could play that one.

I watched a stream play through where someone was emulating the N64 Harvest Moon. Not that I condone that sort of thing. /cough

zig: Thanks I'll look into that one aswell!
Kat: Aw that's not good! Sorry your DS was stolen. I've got the lime green DS Lite. I really like it when screen sizes get bigger (although not really because it means you have to buy a brand new one at full price) but it makes the games seem much better to play. I like being able to see everything clearly.

I have ridiculously small hands (although they're somewhat in scale with how small I am in general) so I worry a 3DS XL or DSi would be too big for me.

Haha, well maybe if you aren't too fussed about the screen size, the smaller console is perfect for you then! Is the DSi one that you can go on the internet with? I get confused since isn't there a 3DS XL and a 3DSi XL? Or is that a DSi XL?

I thought the DSi was the DS with the bigger screen, my mistake, there is a DSi XL. I think I only use the internet on the 3DS to post New Leaf screencaps on Tumblr.

Yeah, personally I wouldn't go for a XL. My fiance has one but it makes sense sine guy's hands are usually larger than girls.

My (female) friend loves her DSi XL. There should be somewhere you could try them first.

Sometimes you can find them on display at certain stores like Walmart, Target, Best Buy, or Gamestop.

Hello Damia!
In Game they usually only have the normal 3DS on display. One of the shops where I live has a Wii U but it's only ever been on once while I was there.-_-

Oh dear, I think it's best to start with bland food if you've been ill. When I was little my mum would make dry toast when I was sick.

The watermelon that makes it over here never seems to have a massive amount of flavour. Hope your tummy settles.

Keeping hydrated is always important. I tend to keep a bottle of water with me whenever possible.
