Haha, real life is more important than Mene. I've missed every Christmas event somehow. >.>
Yeah, I have to get through next Monday and then I'll have more time to be on here to help other people out.

I have a few projects and assignments due from now until the end of the semester. ^^"
Yeah... Grad school is full of projects and assignments :/
Oh well.
Me: I actually do better during the Christmas events since I come home and I don't work when I am home ^^" And I don't do a lot since I don't drive and I rely on Mike a lot (he works), so I do a lot of posting. Unless I'm busy with Christmas celebrating

I'm always out doing fun Christmas stuff, cooking, watching Christmas movies...kinda makes it hard for me to post. I don't really like posting during the Christmas holiday, either.
I have projects due. I have a lot the next month, actually.

We finish a week before the undergrads do (we have projects at the end due the last week of classes usually, no exams). So, I have a lot of things coming up in the next few weeks.
I do a lot of spending time with mike and our families during the holiday. ^^
I don't post at all on Christmas. If I do, it's to post "Merry Christmas" In a crapload of languages... I did that last year on the mirror of our suite bathroom [:p]
I do it every year on Facebook

That's nice in a way. My exams are all at the freaking crack of dawn at the end of the semester.
I might come say hi on Mene, and I'll probably say Merry Christmas at 12:01 a.m. on Christmas, but those days are spent really busy.

@Ely: Yeah, same here. That day I'm up at the crack of dawn with Mike, then we head over to my family's thing later in the day after spending the morning with his family.
At this rate, I don't know if I'll be able to stay in school.. thanks to money problems... what a surprise. -.-

I found out today I have to buy new tires for my car.
Lovely.
But it has to be done.
@Birdie: Your outfit is quite lovely. Ingenious use of the ghosts as well. ^.^

It's okay. It's better to deal with it now than find out the tires were dead by matter of not being able to stop and plowing into somebody's bumper when there's snow on the road.
The bill would have to try quite hard to be worse, though. >.o

Ser - No doubt, but best of luck? The semesters almost over!
El - You could try to buy used tires. I buy used tires that still have %80 of tred left. If it makes it any better I finally got my new car inspected and celebrated by destroying all of my tires with some fun fun xD.

@nonsense: Meh. The kind of tires I need wouldn't be worth it to buy used. They already have a short enough shelf life.
But, you must've done some donuts, huh?
@Birdie: Oh my. All three of those things are quite important, but depending on the state of the tires I'd replace the brake light, and the brakes first. Bad brake lights lead to fun tickets. XP
I treat my car like a baby. I can't afford to be hard on her, and I'd be pissed at myself if I messed her up in any way.
Thrown together or not it's awesome. :)

Bound - Have you thought about doing your own brakes? It's sooooo expensive to get someone to do them for you.
Luckily the break lights are easy peasy to take care of!
El - You never know, if you know anyone who does a lot of car stuff ask them where they're favorite tire place is. A lot of people buy tires, don't like them for whatever reason, and sell them. You can find tires that are practically brand new with only a few miles on them for half the price.
Not so much, learning to drift is really bad on the tires! A friend of mine introduced me to this guy who was really nice. He invited me over and helped me get some things with my car sorted out.

Well brakes first because that scares me the most. The cops where I live a surprisingly pretty cool and will let me slide with a warning for something like that as long as it doesn't go on to long. I know I am hard on my cars but I always buy beater cars for like 700 bucks of craigs list. I have tried to be nice to this one and she has lasted me for surprisingly long time, through many cross country road trips.
Oh and russ will probably do the breaks it's all about waiting till pay day to buy the stuff

I had to buy a tire model that was just released this year, 90% of the dealers don't even know it exists yet. But it had to be done because I need 19" tires that run well in the snow. They also have a 50,000 mile warranty on them, which is better than my last set by over 20,000 miles. >.>
Did you get your old car sold?
---------- Post added 11-03-2012 at 08:11 PM ----------
@Birdie: Yeah, brakes going bad is not good. That'd be number one on my list, too, especially if they were squealing.
If my car were a beater car I might be harder on it, but probably not too much. Spending sums of money more than 20-$25 makes me want to throw up, so I couldn't handle making big purchases like a car every couple of years. With how gaudy I am people would never guess that, but I HATE spending money. XD

ah I see that would be expensive but Colorado's winters to demand traction. But long warranties are always good.

Everybody's posts have been sporadic lately, don't worry Birdie. ^^
Last winter was not bad at all, but I have had to drive with those shitty old tires on snow before and it SUCKED. Not as bad as driving on snow with bald tires, but jeeze. It's not like you can ever speed on snow, but there needs to be some aspect of manageability to it.
