Mmm..it depends. I don't really pay attention to the looks I usually pay attention to their personality. But a good looking guy never hurts. ;)

OH YES! Definitely the pretty ones. :D
I don't like the rather buffer ones. Wimpy, nerdy, and pretty is the way to go. <3

I think pretty boys are used so much that their impact is significantly lessened. I mean, the whole point of having a boy be that beautiful is to make people think 'oh my god i've never seen anyone as attractive as him before', but we don't really think that because there is at least one in like, every anime. I end up liking the normal/manlier men better just because they seem to be more scarce and so they are refreshing to look at.

Fruits basket is amazing! but are the men bi or something they are always looking at eachother wth googly eyes when they fight.they say stuff like "oh and what will you do once you have me?"~Yuki. Omg i am totally in love with all the guys in that book even momiji. But then in replay Izsak is also very sexy but he looks more manly. so idk i love both.

I don't really like bishonen (I don't mind the cute boy-type character). Manly men are okay, but honestly, I prefer average looking manga guys.

It depends on what I'm seeing.
Most Anime/Manga I've seen really pretty boys that I've fallen in love with. There are a few shows out there where I've fallen in love with a manly men. It all depends on how their personalities are. XD

I always find it strange n_n. I love the style of girls in the manga but the good looking boys look so deformed -_- their legs are so long! I get that they're just accentuating/over exaggerating what they believe is beautiful on men. But personally, I feel it's strange. I like reading manga for the story and how they draw the girls - so cute n_n

Hmmmmn, well, I'm a sucker for feminine-looking guys in anime/manga.
Always have been.
BUT, I don't mind the manlier men as well.
I can love Spike Spiegal and Lelouche at the same time, can't I? XD

It gets a little uncomfortable when the guys in manga are prettier than most girls I know. They can be attractive, sure, but when he looks like he just walked out of a shampoo commercial, there might be a bit of a problem...
I'll take rugged and manly over slender-pretty any day.

The explanation...is pretty much age, yeah. The evolution of general standards for what's considered attractive in Japanese culture.
Personally, I'm fond of the "pretty" types. I have never really cared for the rugged types. Actually find them quite repulsive after a point. There are...a handful of exceptions (but I'm not about to go into that), but in general...give me one of those pretty boys that anyone else in my area would pick on, see if I care what they say.

For me, PRETTY BOYS. 8D; Ahaha... bishounen are always nice. I hate buff guys... huge muscles nauseate me a bit. I go for the skinny type... <3

Personally I support the bishounen (pretty boys) imagine if every guy looked like that. I'm not talking about the ones who look like girls. but the tall manly still sexy looking guys.(like Shigure from fruits basket or Hayato Ichijiku from Papillon) I have not seen one guy like that it's slightly upsetting but so the life of a fangirl goes.
