Strawberries are tasteh.
But I don't know how well they go with ham. ... Best put 'em in the mashed potatoes instead.

<3 Have you gotten your blizzard yet Hummy? lol
Howdy- Fruits tend to go well with ham regardless of the type. Something about sweet with salty. om nom nom <3 My grandpa always did ham with cherries!
Ette- I like the traditional type too. The wooden/woven baskets tend to be the prettiest...but they don't last as well as the plastic type. I think my kids have the plastic for just taht reason, I like using the same basket year after year. Saves so much on holidays! They've had the same baskets and halloween buckets since their first holiday! haha!
Lina- oh wow! I didn't realize you were so new! Welcome!

and a Happy Easter to you as well! I hope you get the blossoms or the blizzard that you want. (:
I need to rearrange and rewater my flowers to make sure they stay lovely and perky for the remainder of today. I'm actually hoping to get them to last through Thursday. Dare I dream!

Yeah. Tulips and Daffodils. The tulips are dual colored: white and purple! They're so lovely with the yellow daffodils. I only get potted flowers when I'm able to plant them. Alas, Alaska doesn't make that possible! I'm stuck with no yard and cold weather that would just kill the little buds.

Generally late April/May when we start getting 10+ hours of sunshine a day. Though the first year we lived here we had three inches of snow on mothers day, so everything that had started coming up that wasn't a native plant, died off with out flowers. *sigh* But temps will warm up to around 45/50 in that time frame so combine that with the extended sun hours and we should be set for some good blooms before June. (: Granted I could probably go on hikes and find native flowers blossoming. The Alaskan Iris are quite lovely, but again I think they bloom in June. xD Then there will also be fireweed picking and salmonberries around that time. yum!

Cheshire_cat: I suppose you could say that...I live on Kodiak, Alaska. xD Largest island in the Aleutian chain. (: As much as I love it here, I can't help but miss Southern California! I want warm and HOT and I severely miss going from spring to summer in a week and then a couple weeks of winter before it's spring/summer again. xD Here it's directly opposite. We've got a short spring followed by a couple weeks of summer and then it's back to winter for 7 months.
