whitening strips or store bought whitening is kind of harmful to your teeth.

hummy - Well, my teeth are still yellow, haha.
Fuu-Chan - I heard that too, and the packaging says teeth might become more sensitive after using the strips. Do you have any suggestions on tooth whitening?
Otherwise, I guess I will have to go to the doctor to get them whitened more effectively

It says that because it breaks down the front layer of your tooth Enamel and basically you'll end up with holes in your teeth even if you don't eat sugar that much or anything.
Baking soda is better for whitening as well as coconut oil because it's healthier for your teeth and it wont ruin them.

Would you happen to know how tooth whitening at the doctor's office compares in terms of how white they make your teeth and safety
hummy - I have seven more of the strips and am wondering if I should continue using them

They bleach your teeth.
And you have to have your mouth opened wide for a long period of time.
my cousin did it and she had to hold her mouth opened for 2 hours.

Well, you'd flop around like a fish out of water, but with more weight and less sliminess, because seacows are more majestic than mere fish! *flops with salvete*

Thank you Fuu-Chan <3
and for the record, I am not considering tooth whitening out of pure vanity...let's call it trying to level the playing field when all the other player are whitening their teeth and getting manicures to look more professional.

to me it really doesn't matter why you are doing it since it's your teeth.
I have stains on my teeth but i rather do it naturally then have someone bleach my teeth to which could potentially have chemicals in it.

You are great, Fuu-Chan <3 I love that you are not judging the reasons behind what other people are doing with their teeth, while still offering helpful advice and insight :)

I'm not judgmental.
that is my relatives. Not me.
Honestly it's your teeth so do whatever you want to them.
Whatever makes you happy. I am just tired of getting fillings and fillings have mercury in it which is pretty deadly so I'm just doing things naturally from now on.

Didn't they stop using mercury fillings? My most recent filling was a completely different thing. It hurt for a lot longer than my old fillings before it finally settled down.

Maybe so. I still don't trust dentsits from a childhood traumatizing event.
And the recommend fluoride for people and my bf actually had been over fluoride or something along those lines since they told him to. So I don't trust any kind of doctor or dentist.
