My mom's always wanted one of those obnoxiously expensive Louis Vitton wallets, and I have a good enough job this year to get her one without really hurting my savings, so I'll probably get her that. She'd have a guilt trip if she bought it for herself.

probably some toy, or the condo that she is letting me live in or something. I would not be surprised that I will not get a gift from her do to the fact that she is spending alot to let me move out of the dorms in my college and live across the street.

I got my mom a DVD of the Police in concert, because apparently she likes them and I'm getting my dad this shirt with a guitar on it that he picked out from a magazine.
It's no fun buying for my dad, he always tells me exactly what he wants so there's no way to surprise him.

Do your parents have any hobbies, favourite animals, favourite drinks...? You could give your mother a basket of her favourite fruit and your dad chocolates. :XD
I've got a digital photo frame for my mom, because she mentioned a few times that she would like one to show her digital photos to my computerless grandmother. And I got my dad a bag of little Toblerones, because he loves Toblerone and he can put the small ones in his lunch box to eat at work. :)
What would I like... I'd like the game "Okami" for my new Wii. And Copics. And a few other things I probably won't get until I have a job to pay for them.

I haven't the faintest idea what to get my dad. I don't get along with him that well, and he never tells us anything he wants. He's hard to shop for, too, so if he doesn't tell me what to get him, I have no clue what to do! D: He likes sports, and dogs, and lions, and work, so I'm trying to run with that. And I already got him a lion photo-book for Father's day, so lion stuff is out. I might see if my siblings and mom will pitch in to getting him a Foreman grill. He mentioned one once. He might like one. Maybe.
My mom, however... I always know what to get her, without even having to ask. We're really close, so she's easy as pie to shop for. :D I'm getting her season seven of Scrubs, which has some sentimental value because we like watching Scrubs together all the time, an 'I Got a Crush on Obama' shirt and I might pick her up an Elvis photo book, because she adores Elvis. ...But I might just give that to her for her birthday, 'cause it's two days after Christmas.

I bought my mom three sets of PJ's and a sweater/shirt set in a cranberry color. She needs clothes and tends to neglect herself so all those old ones are going out in the trash as soon as she gets the new ones. I wanted to get her something else but I didn't have enough money for it. It was a seven piece mini easel lot by Thomas Kinkade, she loves his stuff.
I could use Blog responses, if its not too much to ask, just click on my signature if you don't mind!

I finally decided exactly what to get my mother. No clue on the masculine end of my parentry yet, though. My mother is going to get a day at the spa.
My dad will probably just get a gift certificate, considering it's expensive to send stuff across provinces.

Nothing? My parents and I dont do xmass prezzies anymore. we used to when I was younger but we dunno what the heck to ask for anymore so it will only be a bother lol.
My in laws tho still have the tradition to raffle eachothers name and then you have to buy that person a present, so whatever is on the wish list of the one I draw from the raffle, is what I will be buying...
problem is, I have no idea what I should ask for myself. The budget is like 25 euros. How about some CI's of this month on here? lawl can't ask that of them. ><

I bought my mother a Joe Boxer flannel PJ set on sale, my dad is getting a sweater also on sale but I'm not sure I got the size right, my brother in law is getting a sweater, my sister is getting a gift certificate cause she is really picky and she'd take it back anyway if I bought her an actual gift, and the rest of my family is probably getting the same as I just have no clue what they all would want.

I got my mom the final book in her favourite series.
The book just came out last week and she's so excited for it.
I might get her something else too, but I don't know what.
Our family doesn't do much for Christmas, especially when it comes to gifts.
I got my stepdad some socks and a nice dress shirt.
He needed them, kind of wanted them, he got them.
Ha ha.
My boyfriend is the hard one, I'm currently trying to win him House M.D. Seasons One and Two on Ebay, and so far it's not working well.
Sometimes it sucks being a poor college kid. *sigh*

Innocence: Does your school have book buyback? That's how I'm going to be able to get my Mom a necklace...I got 92 bucks for two books, and I'll take my bio book back later this week, and that should about cover it.

@St._JimmyHavok:
It does indeed. In fact, I actually mentioned it somewhere around here in another thread.
Unfortunately, they don't buy back loose-leaf texts and all of my books this semester except three were.
I was only able to sell two, since the third was only going for $1.75 at this time. D;
I wound up with a total of $50, so I'm running short already.
I'm hoping next semester that I don't have any loose-leaf texts and am able to sell back all my books.
That's awesome that you're getting your Mom a necklace though.
Sadly, my mother has expensive tastes, so I don't think I'd be able to really get her anything she'd like unless I was able to sell back all of my books.

My Mum would get either jewellery, crystal figures or perfume.

I always have a hard time figuring out what to get them. And a hard time getting anything because I technically don't have any money yet since I don't have a job yet. What I usually do, if I manage to get them something, is get something for my mom with my dad so it's from both of us, and get something for my dad from both me and my mom. I might try to do that this year. I think I'm going to get them both Wii games because they seem to like my Wii that I bought this summer. XD It's pretty funny. My dad especially likes it and I saw a game I thought he'd be interested in but now that I want to buy it for him none of the stores ever have it. It's really a pain because I really wanted to get that game for him. I might end up getting him a different game. As for my mom, she doesn't play the Wii as much but she hinted about a game she saw and since that one seems easy to find I might try to get her that.

My sister and I bought my mom a really nice matching winter hat and scarf. She's wanted one for going out that won't shed all over her nice black jacket. And we got my dad the complete Monty Python's Flying Cirus box set.
