If I"m bored I may daydream the following things:
1) What would happen...
2) A already made fiction and put a twist to it or put myself in it
3) Daydream my own fictional story

But I rarely remember what I'm thinking, so my friends believe I'm actually thinking nothing. XD

I don't really play games in my head, but I do play music and occasionally movies and television shows in my head.

If you play tetris in your head, do you win everytime? xD

Anyways, I don't really do that, however I do tend to daydream and doze off. > _> My friends are like: "So this happened, then that happened, it was so funny--Uh...Are you listening to me? Crap, I think I broke her."

I play Tetris in my head and also on paper. But what I play the most in my head is a Facebook-based game called 'Word Challenge' It's an anagram game, you have six letters to work with and at least one six letter word hidden in their, you have to find as many words as you can but when you can't see any more you can change the letters for a new set, or if you found the six letters you get to find a friends name.

I just pick random words and start shifting them around, finding new words within them... It's addictive, both of my parents do the same, just not as often as me.

I also find myself playing as my characters in my head, making them argue, fight, and stretch their imaginary muscles. ^^

Wow, I don't share that bad habit, but I have a habit of.. well, When I go see my girlfriend, I keep imagining what will happen and how I will feel and all this other stuff. So basically, it's a movie in my head. xD >.> I should start trying the Tetris thing. To me it sounds like it's awfully addicting. xD

I play music in my head. There's a couple different ways it happens to me. Sometimes I actually see all the instruments of the song being played or I see sheet music and I just follow the notes on the paper.

Yeah, I gotta admit, there are time when I become so immersed in a game that it carries over into my real life... in freaky ways.

When I was playing Final Fantasy Tactics I would imagine people moving in squares. And not even consciously, my brain would pop them into squares.

Also, and this probably bad of me :lol:, when I was really into Grand Theft Auto III I lived in an upstairs apartment. And when i'd be doing dishes, I could look down onto the sidewalk and see people going by and my brain would imagine what they'd look like through a sniper rifle. That's all kinds of disturbing, I apologize. ;P ... And also too, around the time when I was playing GTA: San Andreas I was driving home with my aunt and cousins and saw someone on the street wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and my mind instantly thought about the grey hooded drug dealers I would go around shooting for cash.

*laughs* I are evil.

Hmm... when I'm bored in the car, I look at the identification plaque [or however it's called in english >_>] other car have and try to reach the number 666 with mathematical operations xD Say it's the GJH-233 so it'll be like 2*3 = 6*3 = 6+6+6 8D;; I'm such a creep >w>'
When I'm at home, I imagine how my life would be like if I had done this or that, or if x happened to me, like basically create a movie of my life in my own head ^^'
And when I'm bored at school, I play music on my head. I've gotten this habit because I have never had a music player until this Christmas [about time! D:]

PS: I wonder how difficult would it be to play tetris on your mind o_O I wouldn't remember were the spaces are and lose the game... xP

After I've played Tetris a lot, I'll close my eyes and start playing Tetris. It's really strange. I'm lying there going 'Green block, rotate, rotate, move left move left, drop...WIN! Right next block...'
Thank god I'm not the only one who plays Tetris in my mind. I told my dad and he thought I was nuts. He didn't understand what I meant and asked HOW can you play tetris in your mind? You'll always win. : 3

Though I play out story scenarios in my head more often than I play Tetris. It's an automatic thing for my brain to get on with while I'm not doing anything. Sometimes I have no story to plan... and that's when I start bringing back random songs from adverts. It's irritating, but it's just what my mind does. Entertaining for other people to watch me pull a strange face and groan when the Asda Christmas advert tune pops into my head. XD

I actually barely started doing that yesterday. ;D I don't even remember why; I was just sitting there, and all of a sudden Tetris just started playing it's self in my head. My reaction was something akin to; "Why the hell is Tetris playing in my- ohh! That block go there! GO THERE I SAY!" XD;

I also start telling myself stories when I'm bored. About me, about my characters or friends, about random people I see. It doesn't really matter, I'll just start up a story where ever. :3

... I've noticed a few other people mentioning playing video games and the like in their heads, so I just want to mention that I actually replayed a favorite part of Kingdom Hearts II in my head once. Except I was asleep so this is the wrong topic for that. D;

EDIT: Just remembered. Sometimes when I'm not playing video games, Tetris or telling myself stories, I'll have a really catchy song turn on in my head. Only trouble is it WON'T GO AWAY. *sobs*

When I'm reading a great book, sometimes I tend to roleplay it in my head when I'm bored. Been playing tetris a bit much as well, so I've started seeing it play out in my dreams lately!

That's actually pretty cool.
I'd never be able to do that.

I tend to just notice everything around me. I scan everything and count out pairs and see how well things match. I have a minor case of OCD, I think, because I like everything to match perfectly and be even numbers and match up. lol

Edit:
@ Swift - I do that too.
If I have been reading a book or playing a video game then I will tend to play out character roles in my head or imagine playing the game.

I'll also do that with my OC's. Just start imagining things that they would do or say in situations.

Lol, Actually I do that too. I've started to think I've gone nuts. It usually occurs when I'm bored or daydreaming or something that doesn't really require concentration.

Not to that extreme, no. xD
But if I've been playing a simple game like that for a while (say, half an hour or more) and then stop, my brain will still be trying to play. xD Like if I start reading something, my brain will imagine little tetris blocks sliding in between the paragraphs. Or if I'd been playing a game where you have to ricochet things, then I'll imagine how they could ricochet around the page, bouncing off text, avatars, etc. xDD; It gets irritating sometimes, really.

It only happens with simple puzzle-type games like that, though. It doesn't happen with, say, platformers or anything like that.
Though I think Tower Defense creeps may have wound through text at one point or another... >> I love that game.

You know, I do stuff like that in school, but I won't play games, I'll play like my favorite movie in my head or my favorite television episode. I guess I'm weird like that.

Recently, Tetris has been in my head like crazy. It's really annoying! But I've had other games show up in my head - color bars from Guitar Hero, flashing arrows from Dance Dance Revolution, and when I actually fall asleep, more complex closer-to-life games show up, like World of Warcraft, Mabinogi, and Perfect World.

Just the same, that's like... posting in Mene in your sleep, waking up, and trying to check to see if anyone responded, only to find out you never posted anything. @_@;

I don't know about games,
but I have fictional conversations with other people in my head all the time o_o;

Or I play out fake situations to see how certain people could react to certain things

The only thing I play is music. I'll click my teeth to a beat. I never knew it was so loud to be heard until a few months ago when someone asked me what beat that was.

When I'm not interested in what someone's saying, one of their words will stick out to me and I'll start playing Word Association. Sometimes it's more of a Phrase Association. Someone would be talking about something in class:
"Oh my gosh, girl. Today, this girl had on this gorgeous purple top that had silky sleeves and split in the middle..." Then I'd go off
"Split in the middle... karate chop wood down the middle... Malcom in the Middle... I'll be there for you [Friends theme song]... 'Cause ya gotta HAVE friiiiends... You gotta friend in me [Toy Story song]... To infinity and beyond..."

My friends have started to notice that I get this look on my face that I'm no longer paying attention, so that ask me what they just said. I hate that, because I don't mean to zone out, but playing Word/Phrase Association is so much more fun.

There's a Tetris-like puzzle game on the DS called Dropcast. Quick game, not exactly a challenge, but I've started seeing it in my head.

I don't play tetris in my head, but sometimes, a song pops out of my mind and my mind plays it. When I hear this, I am assuming that it is actually playing. But I notice the excessive loop of the lyrics, and it tunes out automatically. XD

I also think of fictional characters that I made and it seems that they're alive.

Oh, and I play The Sims 2 in my mind. X3

Wow, I never actualy... did that...
well, not with tetris.
With Ragnarok Online and Flyff xD
When I have played too much, I see it in my head alot when I
close my eyes, or when I try to sleep. Kinda bad I think.
But yeah, then I play some stuff that happend over again in my
head, or stuff like boss monsters and gaining very neat items
that will never happen a few times in my head xD:insane:

If i really really want to play the game then yes, but that usually happens when I'm into it. I haven't been playing much lately.
