Vienn watched the courtyard idly, watching a pair of birds fly circles around each other until Kiel came outside. She then followed him as far as she could by way of roof, and plopped down to her new seat right next to and above the bench he had chosen to sit on. Rewards... it could even be more profitable than stealing. Boring, probably. What kind of excitement is there around here? Just training. Wonderful. This is a nice place though, and it might be nice to... belong. I could probably beat most of these soft people in a fight. At that thought, she grinned and leapt off the roof to the ground in front of Kiel, looking much more relaxed than she had inside the hall.

Kiel eyes popped open as Vienn quickly landed on the ground. "hey impressive, so how did your test go?" Kiel asked thinking that she had been tested by Theresa. He took a good last look at the letter and quickly folded it up and stuffed it in his pocket.

Vienn's face held a blank look as she said "What test?" She shook her head and then said what she was about to say when he distracted her. "I decided that I'll stick around for a while. What was that you were reading?" she asked, tilting her head as curiousity got the better of her.

Kiel put both of his hands together "oh...that was my results. After you take the test you get one and it tells you what you need to focus on when you're learning here. It's a little strange because she riddles all of her letters"

"Riddles," Vienn shivered. Oh well. "So what do you need to work on?" I suppose it would be beneficial to know my own weaknesses... and improve on them. Although I already know my strengths, she grinned. "I think I might just take this test."

Kiel took a moment to think.."well looks like I just need to explore...lets see there's all kinds of stuff in the guild. The woods, magic tower where they give lectures, graveyards holding some of the best heroes of the past, we could try to solve the demon door and make it open, I guess Theresa just wants me to see what I can find"

"I've only ever heard of Demon Doors," but I'm sure they smell like treasure. "Trying to make it open sounds really boring though. And what's so exciting about a graveyard?" Vienn rolled her eyes. "Or lectures," she shuddered. That's digusting, you can't teach people to fight through theory, even if it is magic. "Anyways, what do you think you'll do?"

Kiel paused as an idea came to him "I bet we need to pick up a class list."Kiel spotted a line up of students writing their name down near the training grounds. Looks like there was a fighting lesson going on. There are two types of history in the guild, History of magic and history and the past that were being taught in the magic tower and graveyard. On the island they ran magic one on one drills. However Kiel didn't really know what the guild woods taught you, perhaps it was a self teaching area. "maybe we can go to that fighting session that they're teaching over there" Kiel suggested.

"Oooo, let's," Vienn purred. Confident in her own abilities, she couldn't wait to compare her fighting abilities to these students' clumsy efforts. She energetically bounced on her heels a few times and then skipped over to where the fighting was taking place.

Kiel slowly stood up and walked over to the training grounds. He signed his name on the sheet of paper that was sitting on a small table. The students were all gathered around two instructors that were doing unarmed combos and counter attacks. All of the students had leaned their weapons agents a near by fence. "no weapons I guess" Kiel said to Vienn before placing his sword and shield on the grass.

((you did NOT just spell 'against' as 'agents'... *sigh*))
"Huh." Vienn regretfully laid her staff on the grass close to Kiel's sword, went to the sheet of paper, thought for a moment and then decided against signing, since she wasn't a student here anyway. She found a good position for watching what the instructors were doing before casting her staff one last longing glance. Basic stuff, this.

((jeeze fussy! there's just no pleasing you is there?, don't point out stuff like that because I had a hard time with English growing up))
One of the instructors walked over to the sheet. He looked through it for a moment and also took a count of bodies. "hmm looks like we're missing a few, these kids eh" the instructor laughed a little and put the paper back down. "hello everyone, welcome to unarmed training, one of the first things we teach here at the guild. Now we won't be using any of the rings because the top ranks are preparing for their hero training. Now we've got a lot of open space so everyone find a partner, girl with girls and boys with boys if you could." Kiel was approached by a thin looking young man. "alright look at your partner because your going to be with them for the duration of this class" everyone had gotten a partner but few. "okay lets start, one of you will try to grab you partner and make him fall on the ground. The other person will counter not by grabbing but using your free hands to punch or kick the other persons attack....understand? Alright get to it"

((sorry XD ... I'm just itching to edit your posts XD))
Vienn looked around her, but all the girls seemed to be quickly finding partners and inching away from her. Slightly disappointed, she was just about to look for a male partner when she spotted a young looking girl hiding behind two of her friends. Vienn smiled at her when the girl saw that Vienn was looking in her direction, and the girl slowly made her way over to where Vienn was standing. "Hi," Vienn said. "You can call me Vienn." The girl shyly mumbled "Jill," right before the head instructer shouted out. "Everybody ready? Okay then, start!"

((ahh I see....nice bra lol that new?))
As soon as the trainer gave the order Kiel's partner ran straight for him and his elbow slammed into the top of Kiel's chest and shortly after Kiel and on the ground. He didn't even know what partner was the defender or attacker. Guess it was up to the groups. Kiel leaned up and managed to stand, his partner with his hands folded "ahahaha....you've got to be new around here" he spouted off, little did he know Kiel was about to attack him. Kiel trapped his arms in the folding position and brought him to the ground using his partners own mass. After Kiel left him on the ground "I guess thats bad for you then eh"

((Lol yes))
Vienn was ready as soon as the drill started, bracing herself to defend against Jill. Jill ran at her and tackled her midsection, but Vienn barely moved. They somehow managed to get into a position where both were pushing the other with all their strength, until Jill finally twisted around and pushed Vienn to the ground. "Impressive," the instructor said, "but don't waste time with a match of strength, it's only using up your energy." Vienn eyed Jill and then shook her hand. "Well done," she said. "But I could have had you down in three seconds flat if I had been on the offensive." Jill just shook her head and said "Whatever."

Time through the session passed and the class had gone through many different types of drills involving hand to hand. "Alright, thats all for today" shouted the trainer. The students soon wondered off else where. Kiel soon found Vienn "well that was alright I guess, but I'm still full of energy. we'll let you choose what we do next....so where are we off to?"

Vienn tapped her fingers against her cheek while she thought. "How about..." She looked around and saw a group of students heading for the island, but scrunched her nose in distate at the thought of coming to close quarters with magic. "Huh. Not there. Is there actually anything in the guild woods? Other than leaves and spooky looking trees?"

Kiel turned his head and began staring at the trail leading into the woods. It was quite sunny and still the deep trail bore a dark olden color because of the dead weeds. "who knows, no one's ever gone in there because everytime a group of students go in there they only last a few minuted and come running out, so I'm guessing they never got far enough to see anything...and I also doubt they would freely talk about what they did see" Kiel smirked. "It's sort of cruel, the other heroes cheer them on then take bets of if they come out alive or how long they'd last" Kiel chuckled a little "uhhh..well that was just a story my blacksmith mentor told me" Kiel continued to smile.

Vienn tilted her head to the side and considered. "That does sound interesting. Or at least it will make for interesting comments," she smiled. "And maybe there are some interesting," and valuable, "treasures from past Heroes and the like." Vienn's smile grew wider at the thought of the possible riches in store. Shaking herself out of her reverie, Vienn twirled her staff and headed for the entrance to the woods.

Kiel followed Vienn; walking to the side of her. Few students gave them a odd stare. As they got closer to the trail the stare turned into a shocking look. Students gathered around and auto-manically lined up to watch them enter. Some clapped and some also laughed and started placing bets. Kiel looked over at Vienn "hehhe lets try not to disappoint them"

Vienn raised her eyebrows at that. "Some of them will be disappointed if we come out. But yes, it will be quite nice to come out of here unscathed while the rest of them think we'll be in trouble. Logically, there can't be anything that dangerous in there or one of the instructors would have taken care of it. Or at least put the woods as out-of-bounds. Having students killed on the premises is bad for business," she smirked.

Kiel laughed a little "well I'm not sure about that, I think the woods has a no mans land type idea where it's set up in stages where some part of the woods are more dangerous then others". Kiel had read a book about the guild woods. The creatures that live in the woods were large wasps, and magical nymphs. There were also known to be a clan of trolls that lived in the deeper parts of the woods.

Vienn gave Kiel a strange look and said "If it wasn't part of the guild, it wouldn't be called the Guild Woods, now would it? Well, come on. We'd better get in there before they think we're chickening out." She pushed a large branch away from the path and started walking along it.

Kiel caught the branch as if flung back almost hitting him. As he looked inside the woods looked more like a park. There were flat area's and what looked like old stone decorations along the path. "strange place" Kiel felt a little chill crawl up his back, he took a breath in and tasted the swampy air.

Vienn, seeing an open space, went over to the trees and examined them. "These trees look like they were grown together, they're woven. That takes a lot of care when they're young; it also means that this is intentionally more like an arena than a forest. A challenge," she whispered excitedly. "There must be a river around here someplace."
