And now with these starter clothes they have on gaia at the moment.. They all look ridiculous, so I'm content with giggling to myself at newbies wearing pillow-like half sweaters. n_n

I'm honestly against any starter clothes but rags- and those should cost some gold, still. Jada gave newbies a really nice set of clothes... Well, they gave them to everyone, but WELL ......... I think that having a really stupid set of clothing is part of being a newbie!

I remember when I was a newbie here, wearing a white top and and a random belt for weeks. I was so proud of my outfit, because gold earning was so hard for me.

hmmm.... well maybe giving out a few starter clothes would be great?? because its kinda awkward being naked here.... or maybe you guys can have a thrift store for the newbies like me and the poor... :cry: because i suck at the games..... sob!! :cry: :gold: yup.... sigh! or maybe make some easier games?cuz i'm not really getting much gold by this posting in the forums.... oh ya and like gaia we should have towns to explore... and chat with our friends... wouldn't that be great?

I kinda wish there was some sort of starter clothes, but it seems like you can earn gold quickly on here. (I think I just feel exposed is all.)

The store named 52 has alot of cheap basic clothing in there

There is no shame being in your underwear, i did it for months on end when it was even harder to earn gold when the site first started :P

I agree that newbies should at least get one cheap outfit. I mean really they shouldnt have to run around with nothing on.

...Why are people complaining about being naked? We have bras and panties, and boxers. Sheesh. ISN'T THAT GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU!? D:

i like earning myself money and clothes i do not really like starter clothes i always feel happy every time i got a new clothing:).and one more thing if the character starts with 200gold and creates so many mule accounts and the moderater not knowing that the character has many mules they will trade the 200g and loads more of 200g and thats sorta "cheating".

Personally, I'm glad there isn't any free starter clothes.
This way, you don't have to try to sell it or something like that.
And I think it is much easier to get gold by how many characters in a post.
It promotes good typing. Less "txt-tlk."
And text talk annoys me.

i like the thrift store idea. only, i'd make it like a real thrift store. like, people can bring in their used items and sell them there, and other people can buy it for dirt cheap...? i think it's a good idea, that way the people who donated make a little money, and newbies can get new clothes. i know Hot Gossip has cheap clothes, but these would be cheaper, because they are used. and that way they post a couple of things and then can buy a whole outfit the same day they sign up. technically, they can do that anyways, but it will be much easier. just a thought. and isn't the rag shirt $50?

@Katie: But people do that sort of thing in the exchange. :yes: (At least, it sounds like the sort of thing that you mean. They have their shops, and can sell any item--rare or common--in there. It's sometimes difficult to find exactly what you're looking for, but you can talk to people in their own/your own thread at the time, getting more gold as you go.)

You know... I think that the fact that you can aaaaalways change you skin, hair, eyes, nose and even ears every time you like, it's already a GREAT thing...
You can be a "differente person" every day, and it will take a looooooooooooooooooong time until you have to repeat a look.
We may don't get any clothes to start... but we have to admit that we start with a lot of other cool stuff.
Menewsha is the first game that have so many options for you avatar looks, and it's free... most of the games you just start with some ugly hair, basic colors and some eyes....
Also, the clothes are just gorgeous... so nothing wrong in work a little bit to get them!

We should have starter clothes, and have different ways to earn gold. Not everyone is good at posting or talking a lot, i am not be i am just doing it because i have to and that sucks big time. At least something anything to make us fell welcome.

Vicky, there will never be starter clothes, and you can be welcomed very much in the fresh meat forum. The point to this site is to interact with others. It is a community site.

And what other ways can you get gold? We have games for lurkers....

@Hatake Ayumi: Yes, this i know from everyone repeating them selves. I was just trying to make my point on that i agree with this topic.

As for other ways to make gold, i have none now but it was a thought.

And I'm sure many newbies agree with this, but after a while, it isn't that bad. Most oldbies will agree that starting out with nothing isn't a traumatizing experience and even helped out.

But i guess i can stop thinking about it and just try chatting, and playing games.

It's not really a big deal being naked here, you get treated the same nekkie or not. :)
