Richard, running late again, ran in through the back door and bumped into Alex.
"Oh, sorry!"

Alex yanks hard on the ends of her apron ties. causing a tight knot instead of the nice bow she wanted. She glares over at Richard"Richard look at what you made me do!"Points to knot.

"Umm..." Richard looked at the knot, "So...Does it really matter that much?"

Alex pouts "No not really but its not the nice bow that I want."

Sai straightens his back, hoping to get a better view of whats going on, he smirks and chuckles lightly, striding over to the ordering counter, looking at the two with a smug look on his usually calm face.

Richard sighed, "Here let me do it." He unties the knot and makes a bow. "This good?"
He looked at the customer then back at Alex, "Better get to work little missy."

Sai raises an eyebrow at Richard. "You a cook here?"

Alex a little ticked looks the bow over"hmmmm I guess"hearing someone moving around out front she looks up towards the serving counter"I'll be right there just give me a sec"

Sai nods at the girl, still looking at Richard.

Richard looked at the customer and came out front, "Yeah what of it?"

"Just wondering. Hi, I'm Sai." He gives him a small smile, holding out his hand to shake over the counter.

Richard shook hands with Sai, "Welcome to the Wallflower Cafe. My names Richard. You should try some of the tomato soup. I make it."

Alex comes up front and pokes Richard in the side"Hi Sai I'm Alex and I'll be your waitress"

"Alright, cool." He smiles, pushing a ten over the counter and sitting on a chair closer to the counter. He waves at Alex. "Thank you, I already ordered his tomato soup, and I think I'm good." He winks at her.

"Okay, okay," Richard laughed, "I'm going." He went to the back and grabbed his apron. He tied it and leaned on the counter in the back waiting for an order.

Kali was feeling pretty down. Not only had she overslept and missed the exam she had that morning, it was the final exam. There was no making it up and for someone like Kali, failing was unacceptable. She paused before the doors of the cafe feeling like getting a small pick me up in the form of food. Kali was a little unsure of what they had and if they were open or not. Hesitantly she tried the door.

Alex grabs the ten off the counter and puts it in the register. then walks over to Sai and sets a menu down in front of him."So what would you like to start with"

Sai looked at Kali, smiling. "Hey there." He looks back to Alex. "Hm. Could I get some espresso with the soup please? and maybe a few crackers." He gave her a content look. "If thats alright."

Alex looks over at Kali"Hi I'll be with you in a second". She takes down Sai order and smiles"Yeah that's alright".Having taken Sai's order she walks back towards Richard."Ok so thats one espresso, some soup and some crackers. Did you get all that?"

Sai nods in appreciation, turning back to Kali. "How are you?"

She gave an askward little wave to Sai, as she did not know him and took a seat at the counter a few away from him. Kali set her small black backpack on the floor next to her. She smiled and nodded to Alex who had also greeted her.

"It's just not my day today." Kali replied leaning on the counter, proping herself up with her elbows. It was poor manners but she didn't care at the moment.

He turns back to the table, looking up at the counter.

Alex walks over Kali and places a menu in front of her"Heres a menu for you to look over. I can start you off with something to drink if you want."

Richard looked up from leafing though a recipe book when Alex came and gave him an order, "Yep, an espresso and a soup with crackers on the side." He got to work right away making a fresh batch of the tomato soup. He put on the coffee machine and grabbed some whole beans. He preferred to freshly ground them at the cafe as it made an even fresher batch of coffee.

Richard ground the beans and made the espresso. He rang a bell and shouted out "One espresso!" He then got back to making the soup. He grabbed some tomato sauce, the liquid type, and poured it into a pot. He then diced up a tomato and put it into the soup as the sauce was beginning to boil. Richard then quickly threw in some salt and pepper into the soup. In a few minutes it was finished. He put the soup into a nice clean white bowl and placed a few pieced of basil on it. A finishing touch of crackers on the side, as a request from the customer and it was finished. Richard rang the bell again and called out, "Soups done!"

((coffee get's done first, the a while passes and food gets done. Just make an estimate at how long it took. I have to leave now, so I hope you can get by without me for now.))

"Um..." Kali began as she took a quick glance at the menu for the drinks. At least she had a little something to smile about, they had one of her favorite drinks. "The peach iced tea, please."
