Sometimes my dog Lexi (she's a pomeranian) puts one of her paws on top of the other when she's laying down. We say she's sitting like a lady. And my cat Luma, she only seems to come by me when she wants food. And we bought toys for her to play with, but no, she likes playing in boxes or with random things on the floor.

my dog, cricket, thinks her stuffed animals are puppies so she carries them around in the house like all the time and puts them in warm places like under blankets or surrounded by stuff in my messy closet, and we can't let her outside with them because she'll bury them and she pretends to buy them inside like she scratches on the carpet like shes digging a hole then she drops the stuffed animal and pushes her nose on the carpet like she's covering it up with invisible dirt. its funneh :P

Alright lets see, my dog Bradley is a bit of a show off everytime I come home from school he could be sleeping or something and he'll just rush off and pretend he's been awake and active the entire time I was away.
He'll start barking at nothing or at strangers passing by and then I have to give him a look and he just stares at me like "what?" its so cute and a bit embarassing knowing him to be a big coward and all haha. Though I still love him he's just so funny when he's trying to show off.

I have a small dog name Knight. [he's a mix]
He loves to be cuddled up in my arms, but when I want to go cuddle with him he'll push me away. Then jump down, stare at me and walk away. xD
He also loves eating bugs and bark at birds but won't chase them. O. o''

My cat, Snickers, licks the walls. Not constantly, just at random times. A friend of mine said that it may be that she is lacking some sort of vitamin or something like that..... not really sure. It's funny to see her doing it, though!

My boyfriends cat; Nokuma, can spaz out after getting hyper and scale the mattress resting up against the wall then leap down. It's almost as if she's trying to get an adrenalin rush! lmao

the most amazing and funny thing i have ever watched was two of my ferrets ((i have four)), angel and smokey ((the smallest then the biggest of them)) opened my sisters door. it doesn't latch all the way but you have to force it open kind of, the top gets stuck. well, smokey figured out that he could open it so we have to tie it shut. well, i got him to quit opening it (finally). then one day, angel was over there sniffing around and I guess she wanted into my sisters room for some reason. i watched her go across the room to get smokey from under the couch and they both went running over to my sisters door. smokey took about three seconds to get the door open, angel went in and he went back to what he was doing. all i could do was stare.

I also watched angel measure out the distance of a jump by standing on her back legs then falling forward off of a box with her legs stretched out. i guess she figured that her legs could touch it so it wasn't that far. she climbed back up on the box then jumped to the baby gate that I had blocking off the kitchen...

I swear she is a genius in a ferrets body. smart as a tack that one.

lol wow where to begin? well my orange cat kyo he likes to lay upside down on his back, he also likes to sleep this way, or he luvs to sleep on my computer tower, which usually he is much to big for and falls off. Our dog Jekyll since he was little thinks if he crawls towards something or tries to sneak away this way that he is invisible and i wont see him doing it. now that he is like 60 lbs its hilarious to see him crawling around like that :P

My dog, Anja, has multiple things that she does that I would consider quirky. She will actually punch things (run toward it, lift a paw and smack it with the force of her run), she hides underneath the bed to sleep, she climbs onto the couch and will lay on the back of it like a cat (she's a rottweiler >.>), she likes to run through sprinklers but won't get into the pool, and if you get her wet at all she goes off in this mad running spree like a crazy.

And those are just things she does at least once a week.

My axolotl Suki keeps headbutting his novelty palm tree. And my cat Kotuka makes strange chattering noises whenever she sees a moth or insect in the house.

There's a spider in the house, all you hear is PURRRROWW.. *thud* ...mew. Oh, it makes me laugh.

My cat forces everyone to follow her into the kitchen and pet her while she eats. It's pretty cute.

another cat i have, Mimi, who is a one eyed siamese, loves to play with laser dots. if you shine one on the floor, she chases after it. if you shine it on the wall, she jumps up to get it. if you shine it on someone, she just about tackles them. if you shine it on the ceiling, she jumps up in attempt to get it.
i first discovered she did this when i had a laser dot-like flashlight. i was shining it on the ceiling, and she kept jumping about 2 1/2 feet up trying to get it. =^_^=
also, a lot of the cats i had growing up liked to play with crumpled up cigarette wrappers. we have one cat named Boots who, when he was much younger, would jump up and catch the wrappers and then land perfectly on his feet. this apparently was good practice for him cuz he caught his first bird this way. when he caught the bird, he was so surprised with himself that he didn't even know what to do with it.

If you continuously yell near my dog, a fox terrier called minnie, she will copy that tone as best as she can, and she'll sing with you. It's pretty hilarious when people are yelling at each other.
"No! You have to do the dishes, it's your turn tonight!"
"But I did it two nights in a row before that, so you have to do it two nights after that!"
"Well you can just go and-" HOOOOOOOOOOOWL HOWL HOWL HOOOOOWL!

Our rabbit that we named Bun-Bun (I kept calling him that and everyone gave up trying to call him the names they wanted) is so skittish that even though we have been standing or sitting near him for a while, not doing anything but minding our own business, and he has acknowledged that we were there (usually sniffing us or arriving after us) he randomly starts running around as if we just appeared out of nowhere. And after he's run to a 'safe' corner or into his cage he starts stomping his foot in anger as if accusing us of trying to scare him! :) The last time he did this, he ran in a zigzag which was a new cause he usually ran in a straight line and since we had a hardwood floor he kept slipping when he made the sharp turns

My cat will randomly start meowing in the middle of the night and it sounds as if she's saying either, "hello," or, "mama," and I don't know if it's just me going crazy or not. My cat also likes to chew on anything lace, mesh, or plastic though the plastic has to be crispy or it's just not good enough for her. She's a very lovely cat but she's a dumb one sometimes. You'd never meet a nicer creature, though. I do swear that she ate the straps off of ten swimsuits when she was a kitten. Now that got old.

My dog Little Bear is very protective of me. I have raised him since he was nothing but a puff ball in the palm of my hand. However after my husband and I moved in together he became very attached to him as well. One night we were sitting on the couch and my husband started a pillow fight, by smacking me in the face with a pillow. kind of hard actually, so of course my first response was to yell OW!!! my secound was to retaliate by smacking him in the face with the same pillow. Bear went nuts, he was barking like mad, but he couldnt decide who exactly he was suppose to be protecting from who, so, he made up his mind, and the pillow never saw it coming.

He ripped the pillow from my hands and ran across the room shaking and worrying at it and growling like the hell hounds themselves.

Then when the offending pillow was nothing but fluff scattered across the room, he comes prancing back, tail just a' waggin head held high, licks us both once in the face and lays down on the couch between us.

I dont speak dog, but if that wasn't "there I have saved you from the evil pillow of doom, worship me as you see fit" then I dont know what else would have said it.

lol it was adorable.

My cat, Thelma, enjoys smelling feet.
And when she's finished huffing the scent of your toes, she looks up at you with her mouth hanging open.

It's so gross, but I laugh every time she does it.

Ok this is not behavior that I try to allow, however it is still hilarious when it happens.

My dog Jasamine is a genious who has discovered the art of team work.
She has always forraged off the kitchen counters for something she wants to eat, usually that nights dinner or a pie or something equally delicious. Well we have learned to keep everything 'tempting' far enough back on the counter that she cant reach it.

Well that method only lasted about a week. Then I noticed that no matter how far back I put it she still kept getting it, I was baffled.

So one day set a trap with some of the ham that we were going to have for dinner. I left it on the counter out of reach and hid behind a door to watch what happend. Sure enough here comes Jasamine. I watched her go around the kitchen and saw it when she located the ham. Then she made a beline for our bedroom, and came back a few minutes later followed close behind by our cat Oliver. Jasmine led the cat over to the counter and sure enough up the cat hopped directly where the ham was.

I watched in amazement, too stuned to interupt as Jasmine sat patiently while the cat ate half of the ham, and then very calmly pushed the other half onto the floor for the dog to eat.
It was crazy.
Isnt cat/dog cooperation on that level against some sort of rule or something? It should be.

My cat Eris, a Maine Coon (which means she has a crazy-long, poofy tail) will actually use her own tail as a toy. She also uses it as a pillow and, when she's sleeping in a bright room, a sleeping mask to block out the light.

She also uses her paws like hands, picking up pieces of food from her foodbowl and eating it that way and scooping up water from her water dish and licking it off of her paws.

My turkey George used to follow me around like I was her mother.
Soo cute, especially if it's the first time owning turkeys!!!

My cat, Pesto, plays fetch. You throw a boucy ball down the stairs and she chases it and brings it back. we have no idea where she learned this because neither of our dogs played fetch when we got her.
My cat, Espresso, thinks she is a dog. She sleeps with the dogs and drinks out of the same food bowl as they do.
My Dog, Magnum, barks like a beagle. That would be wonderful if he was a beagle, but he is a German shepard! OUr other german shepard has a deep manly bark... Magnum barks at a pitch that causes the piano in the dining room to hum...

Alas, I have no pets myself. However one of my mother's cats will when he is let inside imediately lay down and roll over for a tummy rub as long as you are one of the few people that he knows. If there is anyone that does not come around often then he is off like lightning to one of his many hiding places.

Wouldn't call it cute but my dog used to scratch her rear on the bottom of the porch. The face she made was so funny when she'd do it too. I wish I had film of it. XD Hilarious. And when I pet her she makes little noises, like she's happy.
