@Foxberry
Correct. I really didn't like a lot of the "End of Times" type suppliments that came out for any of the Storyteller System genres, and I really haven't been able to get into the Storytelling System aside from Changeling: the Lost. I like some of the changes to the mechanics of the d10 system that came about in the new books, but the setting and actual feel of the new games is just meh for me.

V:tM isn't exactly my favourite from the World of Darkness, but it was the most popular from the Storyteller System, and because of that, I ended up playing in a looooot of vampire games. My absolute favourite was Demon: the Fallen even though it was the precursor to the end of the original WoD setting. I totally plan on doing conversion for the other genres if the V:tM RP goes well; the place I chose is sort of forcing me to start on the conversions, since Mage and Werewolf have huge roles in New Orleans.

You might want to consider playing a Gangrel, with beastial traits of a feline, if Bastet are more familiar to you. That thought occurred to me after I'd made the initial reply...

On a more general note, I've updated the IC thread some, including expanding some of the NPC's profiles/backgrounds. Once I finish up all the IC posts of NPCs, I'll be putting up partial character sheets in this thread like I did for Adrian Silver, mostly to be examples for people making characters.

I also added a bit more in the way of an introduction, though I may make some adjustments before the actual start of play.

Now I do have one question. When we do start, will you set up an entrance for each character sepratly or start that in the IC thread? I know that with the table top and LARP games, the ST sets that up with each person to beat out the basics of formalitities and descuss what is out in the open up front and so on.

I have no problem either way as I'm sure you will give us direction to start with anyway. Just curious and excited. As well I think this is a good question for everyone to know.

Well, good luck with your hearing. And thank you for putting this together. I've been looking for a roleplay like this for a while.

Crow-kohai...make your character. It's all almost done enough to start gathering players.

@Foxberry
Feel free to make a character as well, if you wish.

@Jae'sta
There will probably be a small bit of PM based introduction to the setting, especially if the character is not from the New Orleans area. Otherwise, it will start with an event/setting that characters can easily enter at will, much like how LARPs end up doing it.

How was everyone's Thanksgiving? I cooked and didnt burn the plastic to the Turkey this time. ^.^ LOL...I broiled it last years. My first Turkey. Yeah. Was careful not to do it again.

Anywho...Sorry for the absence. A friend was in town and I didn't have time to get online.

Any progress?

Thanksgiving was busier than I expected. My step-grandfather had some pretty huge weirdness occur with his contact/eye (he has a lens actually implanted in it), so we had to take care of that on top of all the normal cooking and stuff.

I'll be finishing everything up this week. My PC was pretty much down from Monday - Wednesday, for some ungodly reason the defrags of the harddrives took almost two days for the one and a day and a half for the other which totally killed my time for updating this and finishing up some stuff for the local WoD LARP. >.<

We will start even if all ten slots aren't filled though. I don't want to make people wait around longer than necessary.

Oh, and Crow-kohai...make your damn character. =P

Thats one thing I love about the Holidays. Something or another usually goes wrong. This year I didn't get all of my groceries. (was missing a bag with the gravy packets and my cookie mix) Luckily I had 1 gravy packet at home. So we had it, but it was sparce.

And I kind of wish they had a group like that here in SLC. I'm bored most of the time. LOL

Also, Agreed. You need to make a character Crow-kohai. ^.^

Um, I grew up in SLC. I have friends there that are still involved in Camarilla Social Club games and independent LARPs. I could probably get you the information for either, if you want.

Added a guide to Storyteller Post Formats. While it all is probably obvious, I suggest going back and looking at it - I removed the Character Profiles section, since we may very well get multiple genres running in the future, and replaced it with the guide.

Both LARP groups have a website. The Camarilla Social Club is technically owned by White Wolf directly, and they do the current World of Darkness setting. The "troupe" game is unaffiliated, and runs only the old WoD stuff like the Mene threads do.

Camarilla = utahcamarilla.com
Troupe = oldwod.net

As for the Mene game, I plan on posting the last of the pre-game stuff tomorrow, and if I get it done fast enough, then I'll post the opening narration.

Aaaaaand we're live. All the information is up, and the opening posts have been made! Feel free to make your way into the Yule Gathering of the New Olreans Kindred.

Posted my entrance.

I also met up with the troupe here in SLC. Very interesting group. LOL, I think I'll stick with it.

I got the information from Erin on them. I know a few of the people who are doing the troupe, and more who are doing the Cam. I'm glad you like them!

Hopefully more people will join in the thread. I need to poke Crow a few times to see if he still wants in or not.
