Sunny looked back and forth between the speaking dolls. They were beautiful, and whoever had made them had done a much better job than Sunny's creators, but they were so.. odd. Of course, odd was by no means a bad thing, but it was strange to encounter so many of the 'odd' dolls in one sitting. Most of the time any of the dolls that Sunny knew of who didn't meet the standards of the Party Preps were just scattered about. The small Doll shrugged though, and slid off the stoll she'd been seated on. She took her dishes to the sink and began to wash them after dumping the bones that remained in the trash can under the sink. She felt uncomfortable, with her back turned to the oter Dolls, but she figured that it wasn't like one of them were going to pull a knife off the magnetic rack hanging by the stocve and stab her with it or soemthing... All the same, she wanted to finish her dishes.
Sunny didn't know if she wanted anything else, and if she had a reason to linger in the kitchen. She thought that she might like some chocolate.. If that other Doll hadn't eaten the rest of it. Sunny checked to see if she had, and indeed, Momoka and Lillian had taken the last of it. Sunny sighed, and began to feel that Althea's nurse hadn't done such a good job in giving her the name 'Patience.' 'Oh well.. if it's gone, it's gone... I'll ask Mother to get some more... Maybe my own little stash.. No that would never work... Mother would tell me that I needed to get over whatever problem I have in demanding my own things, and defending myself and whatever else she thinks is wrong, knowing her...' Patience sighed again and turned around, realizing that she'd left her cup on the table. She crossed the kitchen to the table for the second time, grabbing the cup after she had done so. It was upon returning to the sink that she managed to trip over her own two feet.
The sound of shattering glass and a frightened little squeal of 'Oh no!' filled the air. Sunny had dropped the glass. Before anything else could be done, she dropped to her knees, hurriedly trying to clean up the glass. She didn't want to be around long enough for anyone to start snickering at her. Sunny wasn't exactly paing attention to what she was doing, worrying only about what Mother would have to say upon hearing that she'd broken one of the beautiful glasses. A sharp pain in her hand let her know that she'd managed to cut her hand. "Ow..." She muttered. She didn't really know what else to say. It wasn't as if she'd ever been cut before, and the sight of her own blood dripping from the gash on her hand was a bit too much for her...
{Ach, I've been lazy! >.< Well, I think I'll make another male Doll...}

Sue heard the sound of glass. She saw the doll cut her hand and her instincts awakened. She ran, quicker than any other doll, to a cupboard and took the first-aid pack.. In a moment she was next to the hurt doll cleaning the blood off and wrapping her arm in bandages. "Whew, that was a close call... You don't have to be so nervous. I'm sure that that glass was very precious and if not that then most certainly expensive but you don't have to worry about it. It's just a little mistake. No one is perfect. Even Lilian, at least for everyone else other than herself." Sue packed the first-aid pack, took a brush and a shovel and started to clean up the broken glass. "Hey. I'm Sue. What's your name?" Sue was eager to get new friends and her instincts told her this girl would be one of them. At the same time Lilian had been denied by Mother. Lilian decided to go back to the kitchen to just scowl at Sue for fun(yup, she can be very mean at times). When Lilian entered the kitchen and saw the doll whom she had asked for the chocolate, bleeding, and Sue beside her, she automatically thought that Sue had hurt the doll. "For goodness' sake, Sue, you're just SO mean!" Lilian left the kitchen and went to her room. For some reason she started to pack the things she wanted to take if she had to move somewhere. Even though she had nowhere to go and no one to reach for help... other than... Momoka. In despair to get away from Sue, Lilian started to search through the house for Momoka, to ask to switch rooms or become room-mates.

Isis walked back into the kitchen. She sighed quietly and walked toward the sink when she heard a cry and something shatter into millions of tiny little pieces. She walked past a counter and saw Patience on the floor, trying to pick up the pieces of what was once either a glass or a bowl. She saw another doll, one of the new ones on the floor next to Patience with the first aid. What was her name again? Ah yes, Sue. That was it. She walked over and put her bowl on the counter before turning to them. "I hope you're alright Patience. Mother would be worried more about you getting hurt than whatever it was you broke." She said quietly.
Mother was quite kind and cared deeply for them. Isis knew that this was true. If she hadn't, she would never have brought them to life. Isis quickly finished picking up the pieces of glass, making sure not to hurt herself like Patience had, and threw them out. It seemed that this was what Isis did most of the time. Something would happen, and she would not say a word and she helped clean up. It was just her way of trying to be friendly while not having to speak to anyone else.

The sun peeked though the curtains little by little as it got later in the day. The gray plaid wallpapered room started to brighten. Showing the room in greater detail. It was nothing special. Everything was some of a shade of gray. Stretching from white all the way to deepest of blacks. As the orange star rose, so did the brightness. The sun hit on of the buckles on the dolls shirt. Sending light shapes throughout the room.
Her mind wondered throughout her long sleep. Thinking only things no other person even dreamed of. Her mind echoed with machine gun firing as well as bombs bursting in the background. The sounds of screams made her cringe from the thought of others dieing. Others she had scene every day before the wars. A bomb went off close, blowing out windows. The glass shattering made the war-ridden doll awake in a cold sweat. Her breathing was harsh and rapid. Selma through her head into her hands, wiping away small tears. Certain memories had been closed off to even her own mind, but the ones that remained were probably some of the worse. Who knew? Not like Selma could remember. After a bit Selma got up, getting dressed. Clipping any chains where they needed to be, and buckling all of her buckles. The doll knew she was most definably one of the more detailed dolls in the house. Her chains and buckles proved that. Though Selma did not rub it in. The outfit reminded her too much of a military uniform. She thought more and more about it as she brushed her hair. Mother did not want her to change it though. "It looks so cute" The old women would always say.
Selma left her room hearing a comotion downstairs. Her boots clicked heavily on the wooden floors. Echoing slightly through the halls, but was toned out from some music. Selma headed past the kitchen, giving it a short glance, seeing all who were inside before heading to what seemed to be a party. The party preps always threw these things. It was always a.... different experience. Selma headed in, scanning the crowd. Before headed over to a table filled with a few snacks. The noise was not as bad as they normally would do. Though it was still pretty loud. Selma took a drink before looking into the crowd once more. Seeing the michivous Life brother to Lost. Selma had borrowed books from Lost before. She also remembers reading and having Life petting her head. Complementing on how soft her hair was. It was a bit weird..

Looking over to Selma, Life grinned. He had already gotten the party started anew, some game or another. Making his way over to stand beside the woman, Life brushed her hair away from her face with a pale hand.
"Long time no see," he said happily, pulling her over to a more quiet area so they could talk. "How have you been?"
Lost got up when the glass broke, and swiftly made his way back to his room - which was in all reality a glorified closet under the stairs. His dark eyes settled into a stare at the wall outside his room, the door left open. Lost sat on the edge of his unmade bed, his expression blank. He hated it when glass broke - it grated on his nerves more than anything. It reminded him of many dark things.
With a gentle sigh, the dark-haired doll continued to stare at the wall.
I forgot my book. . . .

Isis turned when she heard a chair move. She found that Lost was no longer in the kitchen with them anymore. She washed her hands, after making sure there was no more glass on the floor before heading out. As she passed the table by the door, she noticed the dark leather bound book sitting on the table. 'Lost must have forgotten it.' she said to therself as she picked it up. "I do hope you didn't hurt yourself too badly Patience." Isis said before leaving. Isis had surprised herself. That was the most she had ever spoken to anyone. Shaking her head, she went to find Lost. Mother had said that he lived under the stairs, but that was the problem. Which set of stairs did Lost use as a room? She sighed softly as she wandered the halls, checking each closet she could find. She was about to give up when she found that there was only one left. She knocked lightly on the door, waiting for an answer.
"Lost?" she said, speaking softly to the door as she kncoked. Hopefully she had found the right room.

Selma turned away as Life looked in her direction. Turning back to the table of food, she picked up a cherry. Examining the stout redness of the fruit. She turned the cherry in between her fingers. Popping it into her mouth as a hand brushed by her brow. Selma looked up, gray eye seemed filled with their normal worry. One look she held quite often. Life pulled her into a more quieter spot. He was talking to her, though she would not answer right away. No particular reason behind her madness. Or maybe there was a reason.
"I have been alright." She spoke slowly. In broken English. The doll did come from Germany before living in the old house. She took a seat on a chair, crossing her legs and folding her hands perfectly over her lap. Though the doll sat more relaxed than normal, as hard as it was to believe. A heavy metal song started to sound from the party in the other room. Making Selma jump a mile as the sudden clash of drums. She rested a hand over her heart and muttered a few words in German.
"Sorry.. I was not expecting that. How have you been?" Selma asked looking up at Life again.

Life grinned at Selma, watching her hand flutter about. "How have I been?" he asked, sighing slightly before reaching over to grab a small piece of fruit. "As good as a doll's life can be around here." With those words, the tall youth popped the slice of melon into his mouth, chewing quickly. "And you? Still having trouble fitting in?"
The door opened a few inches, and Lost's black eyes gazed out at Isis. His darkly tanned face seemed full of surprise as he opened the door further. In the silence that followed, he glanced down at the book the doll held. Ah.
Lost's room was chaotic and cluttered, odd objects scattered about multiple shelves around the bed. Jars with strange knicks and knacks, empty bottles, abstract drawings, even slowly spinning lamps were part of the decor. Different colored disks hanging from dark string spun gently, the lightest glints of reflection glinting about the room. The only light came from the three dim multicolored lamps - it wasn't even enough to read by.
"Isis?" he said with a cough into his fist, stepping back. The doll seemed a bit hesitant, but ended up motioning the woman in. Brushing his shaggy black hair away from his matching eyes, Lost stared at the girl while pondering silently why she was there.

Selma closed her eyes for a bit. "Trouble fitting in?.. No, I am not much of a people person. Have never been."
The doll lied. No, She was not afraid to meet others. Morley afraid to scare them. Although many in the house already knew of her fits. For now she was in a relatively calm mood. Compared to other times of the day. Her hands started to get a bit frigidity from the noise just seconds before. They played with the bottom of her dress. Pulling the coarse material back and forth. She had looked away from him by now. Her deep black eyes gazing into nothingness as her hat slipped down a bit.
"You should probably return to your party. You seem to be missing the fun Sir Life" Selma said leaning back in the chair. Just big enough for the dolls.

Isis flushed slightly, feeling a little uneasy about being there. Isis saw the surprise on his face. She knew he didn't get many visitors, if any at all, but she had just assumed that it wouldn't be that surprising. She glanced quickly into his room and noticed all the strange objects. His room was cluttered and dim, yet it seemed to suit him. When he stepped aside to let her into his room, she hesitated before entering. She held the book a little tighter as she watched him close his door behind her. She gave him a small smile.
"I'm sorry for bothing you. I just...I saw you had left your book. I just wanted to bring it back to you." She said nervously, glancing around once more. She caught the glimpse of reflecting light and looked up. She saw the disks hanging on dark colored string. She smiled at this. It was definitely interesting.

Life glanced over his shoulder, sighing. "Yes, yes," he said. "They always want me around when they play games. The little buggers know that I'll do just about anything." His spiked white hair and matching colored suit made him stand out starkly against the wide spectrum of other hues and tones, and Life was swiftly found. The tall doll chuckled as one of the partygoers snagged his arm, trying to pull him back into the game he had abandoned.
"Well," Life smiled at Selma. "I hope life looks up for you. Join us sometime - we'd love to have you." With that, the white-clad man took off to rejoin his fellow Party Preps.
Lost looked at the book with his black eyes, standing still for a few moments. The awkward silence that settled about the relatively cluttered room was heavy, but the thin doll eventually stepped forward to snatch the leather book from Isis' grasp.
"Thank you," he muttered, clearing his throat after speaking. The dark-haired man stared at the ground, stepping backwards to sit on the bed again. More silence pervaded the room, the only noise coming from the grinding of the rotating lamps.
"It was most kind of you to drop this by," Lost finally said in his grating voice, his dark eyes flashing up to Isis' face. The doll's shoulder-length hair floated in front of his thin face while he observed the woman, his black suit rustling slightly as he shifted to sit more comfortably.
"Is . . ." Lost hesitated, "is there anything I can do for you in return?" As usual, the doll coughed after speaking, blinking slowly in apology.

Isis watched him, letting him take the book from her hands. Her eyes followed him as he sat on the bed. It was quite close to the door, though it wasn't a surprise since the room was so small. Isis took note of how he coughed after speaking. He didn't use his voice too much. The silence surrounding them felt awkward to her as she didn't know what to do. She could feel his dark eyes look her over, and she found herself doing the same. She had never been so close to anpther dool before, other than her sister. Isis had to admit that she had no idea what she should do. When he asked if there was anything he could do in return, she quickly shook her head, her hair flowing around her lightly.
"Oh, no. It was no problem at all. I was happy to bring it back to you. It looked like you were enjoying it. You much really like books...I..I do as well. They keep me company." She said, rambling on after refusing his offer. Isis had surprised herself yet again. She had openly spoken to him, telling him something she liked. It was shocking to hear this coming from her own lips. "I'm sorry. I must be boring you." She said, taking a step back toward the door.

Lost shook his head, glancing toward the door. "You're not boring," the doll said. "Not you." He looked back to the floor, staring. Clearing his throat, he set the book on his pillow and stood. Stepping over to the wall, he sifted through a few shelves. Not finding what he was looking for, the dark-skinned doll knelt to dig through a drawer. With a slight intake of breath, Lost stood.
The tall man held out the thin book to Isis, meeting her gaze. Without saying anything, the doll reached down and took her hand in his, putting the small novel into her palm.
"This might interest you."
With a cough, the doll stepped back. He himself had read the book a few times. The story was a simple one about a hero who saved his family, who did what was right amidst evil. It was one of Lost's favorite kinds of story - good vs evil.

Isis blushed, glad the dim light of his room hid that from him. She followed his movements as he looked through shelves and then in a drawer. She was surprised when he held out a book. She blinked a few times before taking it from him. By the look of the cover, Isis knew she had yet to read this one. She felt him take her hand and set the book in her palm.
She looked down at at it. "Thank you Lost." She said softly, looking back up to meet his gaze. She was curious about him. Mother had said he didn;t interect well with other dolls. He seemed just fine to her. She smiled and looked at the book once more. She couldn't wait to sink her teeth into it.

Selma watched him go. Giving the male doll a small smile, followed by a nod. The small jester held no meaning, yet at the same time it held much. She yawned a bit. Stretching her limps up, cracking her shoulders slightly. The doll got up from the chair. Peering out the window at the clouds. She was not in much of a mood for a party anymore. Heading out a different door, Selma headed up the hall towards her room. There she grabbed a small music player. It was still the same size as a regular nano ipod the humans used. Selma had gotten it for a present a few years ago. She left again her room again, poping the small buds into her ears. Almost being hit by an opening door. Lost lived right down the hall from her. In the most quietest part of the house. Selma gasped, bouncing back with the grace of a dancer. She stopped, keeping her legs together.
"Hello Lost" Selma said before continuing on her walk. Around the door. She had not noticed Iris, mostly because she was concealed by the darkness in the room. She hummed a bit to the classical music that quietly pounded into her ears.

She knew Selma couldn't see her since she was hidden by the darkness of the room. Once she ha gone, Isis walked toward him. "Thank you Lost. I will return it once I'm done." She said as she stepped back out into the hallway. "Have a good afternoon." She said softly, her voice sounding kind a she walked toward the stairs. Life finished playing the game that the other Party Preps were asking him to, and headed back to the kitchen. "I need a drink," he said when they asked where he was going.
His pale skin seemed made of stone as he stepped back into the kitchen, and he swiftly glanced around before stepping over to the sink for a glass of water.
Lost headed back into his room without replying to Isis, or even acknowledging Selma. Shutting the door, the doll lapsed into beloved solitude, silence, and darkness. Sighing in relief, he sat on the floor to lean against his bed. Closing his black eyes, the youth drifted into his thoughts, ignoring the sounds of the party floating throughout the house. No doubt, Life was the one leading the Party Preps in their revelry. Lost frowned at the thought, grateful that it wasn't him in the middle of a crowd.
Reaching over to grab a small box, Lost pulled out a normal-sized pocket watch, which was large enough to fill his entire palm. Out of desperation for something to do, the dark-haired doll began to take it apart, somewhat bored.
After a few minutes of messing around with the small pieces, Lost looked back to his closed door. Silently, he pondered how long it would take Isis to come back - and finish the book, of course.

As Isis got to her room, the sound of music reached her ears. She frowned slightly before entering her room. She never really liked loud things, and from the sound of it, that party was definitely too loud for her liking. She sat down near her window and opened the book. She started to read, getting lost within the pages, her mind straying back to Lost. She wondered if he would open up a little more. She shook her head and got back to the book. Isis had always listened to the stories little Leah's mother had read at night. Back then, her only wish was to be able to read on her own. Now that mother had fixed her and brought her to life, Isis had finally found something to keep her mind off of Calla. After a few hours, Isis found herself on the last page. She gasped softly and looked at the last paragraph sadly. She always hated reaching the end. The thought of seeing Lost again perked her up. She smiled and left her room. She hoped Lost wouldn't mind her company for a few more minutes. She passed by the kitchen, noticing Life at the sink. She debated wether she should say hello or not. She wasn't too sure about Life. He seemed nice enough, yet she wasn't at all as peppy as he was. She figured she would see him around later on anyway, so she walked past the kitchen without a second glance. She hurry, walking faster than normal to reach Lost's room. She was anxious to see him again. Though he didn't say much, and he wasn't a very big people person, he made her feel better. She couldn't explain it, but he just did. She rounded the dorner and stopped in front of his door, knocking lightly once again.

The oddly shaped door was opened mere moments after Isis knocked, and Lost looked out at the girl with a strangely shocked expression.
"Back?" he whispered, so as to avoid using his full voice. "Already?" The doll's black eyes locked on her face, and he frowned slightly. "So soon?"
Quickly slinging the door open, Lost nodded Isis into his room. Slight curiousity graced his features, and the pale man tilted his head to regard the girl. His black shaggy black hair fell before his eyes, and Lost stared at Isis for a few moments, waiting for her reply.

((I'm not sure about the plot either. It seems to be only the two of us at the moment though. I do think it's cute as well.))
Isis blushed and nodded. She took in his expression and wasn't sre how she should take the frown. She cleared her thoughts of that for the moment and answered him. "Yes. I hope you don't mind. I came to return the book. It was wonderful." She said quietly as she stepped into his room, feeling a little hesitant. Mother had told her the Lost was somewhat of a hermit, but she hoped she could break him out of his shell. Even if it was only a little crack.
She glanced down at the book in her hands. She hadn't even realised she was holding it with such careful hands, as if it would fall apart if her handling was more rough. She held it out to him. "I won't stay too long...I know you must want your time to yourself. Again, thank you for letting me read it Lost."
