Hi there my name is Covet and I'm looking for a nice place to talk and hang out on a regular basis. I'm bisexual and polyamorous. A lot of different spices in my life. I'm very picky and choosy about who I date and I mandate at least six months friendship before I date someone, though a year is usually best. Friendship is more important than anything and its the foundation up on which to build a meaningful love relationship and plus it tells me whether we're compatible, have chemistry, or whatever.. Though of course if I meet someone and we just hit it off right away and start dating right away.. I have to know and admit to myself that if things fail, and the relationship goes bad then I will probably not get to stay friends with the person nor will either of us want to, though nothing's black and white; anything can happen. I'm very careful sexually! Weirdest joke I ever heard.. I don't know.. I have heard so many. I have heard some really bad ones, good ones, but at this time I can't think of it at all. I've been on a lot of dates I am 30 so you know.. and I have one child. My favorites list! Oh well lets see. Favorite music: Goth, Industrial, Techno, Classical.. things like that ;) Colors: black, red, pink, orange, purple. Food: Mexican, Seafood (clam chowder is great with oyster crackers and a pat of butter on top), Shrimp Scampi, Cheesecake with chocolate chips (tiny ones) in it/on it. Mashed potatoes and buttered corn.. Crab legs dipped in melted purified butter. Omg now I'm hungry ><. I'm a student in college. I tried out several different degrees and built up many years experience and credits.. almost five. But now what I need to do is just finish up my general ed subjects since I'ev gotten all my psychology stuff out of the way.. The scene here is pretty much hidden.. everyone I knew left one by one and I've finding myself isolated. I haven't had a good date with a girl in a long time. :)

wall of text.. well excuse me!!! It was my introduction of self to the thread.. I thought it was encouraged to write more here, and express ourselves meaningfully in the forums? that's why I came here to this site ;-_- Bah I can't ever get it right to please people I either write too little or too much so if anyone wants to chat with me please send me a PM! Unless you really don't mind if I write a paragraph per post, sometimes two if theres something I really wanna say! I'm a really shy person and get my feelings hurt easily so.. I just want to slip back into the shadows now.

For anyone living in a US state do you know if your state passed gay marriage as a law??
I know New Jersey Didn't >.<

here in California it was legalized and then that stupid jerk Governator did all he could to get a stop to it (as he had tried to before), Proposition 8 passed, and now all the poor people who finally were able to get married after all this time.. well.. their marriages were declared null. Makes me mad as shit!!! Why do people want to HURT gay people by denying them the right to have all the same benefits of marriage that straight people get? You can't stop em from living together, making love, raising children, making joint purchases, etc... so why do they think that hstopping them from marrying is going to do anyone any good at all? "protect our children" my ass.. they forget that our CHILDREN have minds of their own and can think for themselves and will decide what they think about the issue when they are ready to -- whether they are bombarded with brainwashing and gay bashing or not -- and if we want to protect our kids then lets make gay marriage legal so if our kids end up being gay they will have the same rights as straight people! THATS protecting our kids. Teaching them to be tolerant and accept diversity, accepting them if they are gay, and treating them to have compassion. Not teaching them to be intolerant and try to take away peoples happiness just cause they dont' approve of gay relationships.. ahhhhh >: II I get fired up over this subject as you can see.

And yeah.. I'm probably not going to get married for long, long time, maybe never, but.. definitely not until marriage is legal for EVERYBODY, gay or straight, in all 50 states. so, maybe I won't see it in this lifetime, but I truly hope so.
