Science was my absolute worst. I could never seem to wrap my head around it, which is funny because it's my brother's favorite. I liked English well enough. I just didn't like writing essays. Love reading though. Although some of the books they had us reading were just awful. I wished there were more books like Pride and Prejudice in the curriculum.
I love Ancient History. I never was much for American history, but that's because I love learning about other countries so much.

Pride and Prejudice is one of my favorite books. I get so wrapped up in the story every time I read it. I don't mind essays if I get to be creative with my work. I hate doing one on "The Life of a Peanut."

Me too. I really ought to read it again. I haven't read it in a while.
I would get so wrapped up in how to start the essays that I wouldn't finish them on time. I should free-write more often. I tend to do better when I just start writing and go back to revise it later. Otherwise I have trouble elaborating.

I know. I have a bad habit of either overlooking a mistake or correcting a mistake before I get halfway through it.

Me too. I have to let other people read my work before I turn it in because I tend to overlook mistakes. And sometimes I assume that the reader knows more than they do. Since I know what I mean, I forget that they might not.

Yeah. I had a teacher that did that a lot. And she wasn't even an English teacher. :/

Yikes. None of my non-English teachers did that.

Yeah, she taught Modern World History. She was pretty strict. Nice enough person, she just was very particular about how she wanted things. It drove us all nuts.

My Geometry teacher was strict but she was nice. I flunked her class and had to take Informal Geometry.

I liked Algebra better than Geometry. I hated doing graphs and such. I'm more of an equation person I guess. What's Informal Geometry exactly?

It's like Geometry for Dummies. And I like doing equations and basic math.

I struggled with math all through high school. It's not exactly that I was bad at it necessarily, I just had a hard time focusing on it because I would get different methods confused. And there were so many other things that I'd rather do. ^^

Yeah, I know how that was. Too many cute boys in class to look at than to pay attention, lol. Actually, there was a couple cuties but they were already taken. :(

Yeah. But I'm thinking that was a good thing. I met my boyfriend after I graduated from high school. Been with him since,

That's awesome. I've actually never had a boyfriend. I was too shy before and now I just don't get out enough. I'm thinking about joining a club or something at school so that I can meet more people. Right now I'm almost anti-social. xD

Joining a club would also be good for making friends. I never joined a club in school. As soon as I was old enough, I got a part-time job at the local grocery store.

I had a part-time job at a movie theater but it went out of business. I've been trying to find a new job, but it's been hard lately. I know that getting my job before really helped my people skills. I learned a lot from it. You get to know a lot of people and get to problem solve too. And once I discovered that I could handle it, it built up my confidence. I miss it. I've been looking for "Now Hiring" signs wherever I go now.

Same here. Work is hard to find. And most jobs require more education than I have.

Yeah. What's hard for me is that I've only had the one job and since they're out of business I don't have any work references. I feel like I might as well have made it up. So most of the time I don't even get called back at all. :/

I have the problem of forgetting who my boss was, dates I worked, and even the phone number as two of the three jobs I had where in a different state.

That can be confusing. I wish I had the number of my old boss or at least something, but he never did give it out to employees. I haven't seen anybody from work in a long while.

I have a lot of problems with forgetting details too, Liztress, so eventually I just started writing everything down in a notebook that I keep handy when filling out applications and updating my resume. You might try that. Of course, I lose my notebook all the time too.. your mileage may vary!

xD You sound like me. I'm always writing things down and then losing what I wrote them on. That's why I laugh every time someone suggests I make lists. ^^
