"Leah??? Leah...hmmm would you happen to be my cousin I have yet to meet? Your brother...if you are that leah....is going to get his butt kicked soon." She grabbed the papers and pulled out a pen filling out the forms rather swiftly. Not much she could do but fill out those god forbidden forms.... One thing she hated more than anything was filling out lots of paperwork. Sighing she finally got to the last page. After about ten minutes that is.
Getting up she let the papers drop in a neat stack with a loud thud. Smiling up at Jacob she laughed. "So what were those questions eh?" She looked over at leah smiling taking off her glasses. "Nice to meet you by the way. I am Christine...Christine Engel...." Sticking out her hand she used the other to take the glasses off and chuckled. "Sorry bout the dress up...I always dress like this when I work on cars...I need this to be quick to go work on my new project an eighty-nine camaro....She needs a lot of work to turn out as good as the baby outside." Her grin was all teeth...
[[Sorry so short I'm also trying to Annotate a book for my english finals ^^;]]

He watched the teen as she wandered over to the counter to fill out the mountain of forms. "Leah, I am going to be working with her in the sense of... anger management. Don't worry, I know you can't possibly contribute in that department." Jacob let out a quick chuckle at the underhanded joke before he went on. "But I'm guessing she must be feeling pretty alone and all that sad stuff. Being that you're the only other girly wolf, maybe you could be a mentor of sorts to the girl? She just moved to the Res and changed from public school. At least when we all had to make the change we didn't have to bother with any other major changes in our lives. And plus, Renesmee has been acting strange lately. I think there is something up with the leeches but she won't tell me." Covertly, he stole a glance at the teen who was making her way through the paper work rather faster than he'd hoped. "But yea, maybe after I spend some time with Christine tonight you and Seth can meet up with me and we could go investigate what's happening at the Cullen residence -"

Then we can put a closed sign on the door for a few minutes. Leah, do you mind helping me with the interview? You might have a few questions I haven't thought of. There's only three people in the store and then the interview itself should only talk about 10 minutes so I doubt we'll lose any business. If Seth were here we wouldn't have to close the doors but what can I say. I know how hard college can be.

Christine smirked and nodded as she hopped on the counter a few feet away. she kicked her feet out softly. Sighing she looked around. One thing she was never good with was waiting...her patience the size of a squirrels...or so her father said. Looking around she saw something sparkle. Walking over to the corner she bent down picking up something. It was a ring. "Ummm sorry to bother you but do you know who's this belongs to?" She held out her hand and showed a tiny wedding ring. "I don't think it's your's Jacob but it's someones."

Leah rolled her eyes. "You need to learn not to give in to that little idiot. He can study and work." She scoffed and walked towards where Jacob was standing. "Don't let him have any luxuries." Despite speaking badly of her brother, she really did adore him. But it was only fair that she bothered Jacob about this. After all, if she managed to work the entire time she was in college he could do it to.

A rather incredulous look was directed at Christine and a short moment later, Leah was once again looking the girl up and down. This little girl was intending to kick Seth's butt? As if that was likely. "You...beat up my little brother?" She laughed out loud at that. "How about you just stick to playing mechanic and leave picking on Seth to someone who actually can do it? Namely, me." Though, Leah thought that it would probably be amusing to try to see the girl do anything to Seth. She was probably even too small in her wolf form to spark any sort of fear in anyone.
Her attention was held momentarily as Christine spoke about her "project". "Eighty-nine Camaro? Not bad." She gave a little nod back towards the door. "That thing sitting out there doesn't deserve to be compared to a Camaro. Everyone knows Mustangs might look good, but when it really comes down to it...they suck. You should retire it once you've got the Camaro up and running."
She gave a little nod when Jacob spoke to her again. Help out with the interview? Sure, why not. Though, she couldn't quite guarantee that she would be impartial. It was rather unfortunate, because she and Christine were two of a kind, but Leah already felt some sort of dislike for the other wolf girl. Maybe she had gotten so used to being the only one.
She was pulled out of her thoughts when Christine, who clearly had some sort of attention issue, came over to them with a ring. Her eyes darted to Jacob as she recalled his mentioning of Renesmee only a few minutes earlier. "Issues with the vampire spawn, Jacob?" She looked at the piece of jewelry again. She doubted the Loch Ness creature would wear that, though. It didn't look nearly expensive enough for her tastes. Despite that, the question still needed to be brought up.

Christine's head tilted. "Vampire spawn?" She looked at them both. "I'm sorry but I don't understand." She was going to dismiss Leah's comment because frankly it wasn't worth her time to argue. She could care less what the woman thought it would most likely just piss off Christine. She let out a huff. 'Heh bet she thinks I'm a small wolf to....surprise for her if she does....I'm rather large surprisingly.' She started thinking about her soft white coat and smiled going off into her own dream land but started to pay attention again. "It reeks whatever it is." She placed it on the counter gently as she walked a couple of steps back. Her hand stunk horribly now. well to her.... sighing she put it into her pocket. "This vampire spawn thing...what's going on?"

"Hah. Be careful little girl. Leah can get pretty fierce, plus she's really protective over her little brother." Jacob smiled warmly at the playful banter. "Besides, I wouldn't want you getting seriously injured over simple horseplay. Leave the rough housing for the big kids darlin'."

'Oh God, Leah's getting catty again. I better emulsify this atmosphere or this will turn into one black nasty oil spill.'
"Hey hey! Leah be nice. She's doing a pretty good job for a youngin'. Though I agree with the Camaro over Mustang viewpoint, let's not make wanton insults over the girls 'baby'." Jacob rubbed his chin pensively as he tried to choose his words carefully. "Besides, if Christine spends a lot of time sharpening her skills, she'll get into much better things than a Camaro. Aint that right kiddo?"

Jacob squinted at the thing in Christine's hand. It was a simple gold wedding band with three small diamonds set into the center of the ring. He didn't know how it belonged to, but it certainly wasn't his or Renesmee's.

Casually, Jacob ignored any and all of Christine's comments about vampires. If she didn't know, he really didn't feel like being the one to clue her in. Not to mention that now wasn't the correct time or place.
"Um, yea it stinks because I think Seth pulled it out of the visitor bathroom toilette a week ago. When it vanished I assumed that someone had claimed it but I guess it just got lost because nobody wanted to touch it. Fair enough, we'll just conceal the stench in a plastic baggy and keep it in the drawer by the register in case anyone comes for it."

Christine sighed. "You know you guys are stubborn....I'm not as small in my wolf form...Trust me." She glared at them lightly. "Tch...you should never judge a book by it's cover...it may be filled with nonsense or information....sometimes more than your bargaining for." She laughed and threw back the braid.
"Seth is just playing round so am I, do you mind if I go visit him later? I really need to talk to him....about....about important issues I would rather not talk about here....or to either of you...." She sighed. "Sorry but Seth is the only one I can trust right now...he was the only one that kept in touch with me and so I guess that's why." Her head fell just a tad.
There is nothing she would rather do than get out of Leah's vision....she seemed to dislike Christine...and Christine could feel it deep within her. 'Ts' not good....I don't need any more jealous women in my life.' Her eyes started to haze as she thought about everything that had happened to her lately. Finally she looked up at them again.
"Well let's get this started since you would not like to fill me in."

Leah shot a glare in Jacob's direction before shrugging. "Just saying... If she's going to call something her baby it should be something better than a mustang." Be nice, huh? Everyone should be used to her being such a bitch, after all it's nearly all the other wolves in the pack thought about her years ago when they were all fighting against the...vampire situation. Her eyes turned to Christine. But this girl didn't seem to know much- or anything- about that. Maybe she should lighten up on the attitude?
...Damn Jacob Black for making her want to listen when he didn't even make an alpha command. And she might have given in and done what he wanted, that is until he spoke again.
Quote:

Leah visibly stiffened. Even though she had been dealing with it for quite some time, she did not like her alpha standing up for that... thing. "You know, Jacob, if I recall correctly, when she was a baby and growing like a freak of nature she didn't want anything but blood. That's not really convincing me that she's human."
Quote:
"This vampire spawn thing...what's going on?"

An incredulous look was held back, but she had difficulty hiding the roll of her eyes. "Just wondering... Christine...do you know anything about why you started shifting?" Without waiting for a response, she held her hands up. "Never mind, never mind. I'm pretty sure I already know." Did she know nothing about their heritage? It seemed so. She'd probably never even heard the phrase 'cold ones'.

Leah slowly pulled out of her own thoughts and returned her attention to Christine. She shrugged. "Go and have however many chats you'd like to have with him. I'm not his keeper." And if it kept the girl from spilling her secrets to them or telling them whatever it was that high school girls thought important or life threatening, well, all the better.

Jacob rolled his eyes at the open cattiness emanating from the women. 'Jeez, first Renesmee, then Leah and now Christian too. God there must be something up with the moon lately. It's because NASA bombed it, the shift in gravitational pull must be screwing with their uteruses or something.'
"Okay, fine. Let me just get rid of these customer." He grumbled to himself as he waved the remaining browsers over to the register and rung them up. 'Can't believe these women, bitching me around in my own business. This is what happens when you let them read.'
After he locked the front door and swung the "Open" sign to "Closed," he signaled for the two girls to follow him into his back office. "Okay, so we are just going to ask you a few questions so this should be quick. I'll ask my questions first, and then Leah, you can add to them if you want after she answers ... And, Christian, don't worry about Leah. She greets every newcomer with bitterness, disdain and scorn. Any less would be... against natural order."
"Okay, here's question one. What was your favorite previous work experience and why?"
"How well do you operate under pressure?"
"There is a situation with a very unsatisfied customer and a manager is not available, but you do not know how to solve their problem. Do you make an administrative decision and act with your instincts or do you tell the customer to wait until one of your managers can help them?"
"If there is a customer who insists on insulting you and being rude, do you bite your tongue and smile or do you find some snide way to 'get back at them?'"
"A customer is asking you a question that you don't know the answer to. However, you are the only one in the store front, and Leah or I am in the back. What do you do?"

Christine fallowed him into the back as he started to ask questions.

Christine sat there for a moment thinking. "Well I never really had a real job. I did work with my dad in his shop though. One of his costemers came in and tried to hook up with me thus making my father mad and almost punched him in the face. I was the only one who could stop him. But I guess that's not what you're looking for...I don't really have a job experience."
Quote:
"How well do you operate under pressure?"

Christine smiled at this one. "Try amazingly good." Chuckling she looked up at them both. "Long story short state in cheerleading and half my team were replacements who I had to teach every move to again." Surprisingly this was extremely hard...they all were stubborn.

Christine sat there thinking for a second. "I would again politely tell them I do not know the answer but if they would like I could go back and get one of the managers for them."
Sighing slightly she looked over at leah. Christine's eyes were slightly hazed over still. She did this anytime she was being questioned...Of course she never knew why her eyes clouded over. She always assumed it was her bodies way of keeping people out of her head so to say.

Leah was silent as she trailed after Jacob and Christine and into the back office. Lost in her thoughts a little, she only shot Jacob the slightest of glares when she realized he had connected her name with the word ‘bitter’ for possibly the millionth time. Maybe he wouldn’t think her so bitter if he actually understood what had happened to her- oh wait, but he did. Unfortunately, unlike Jacob, Leah wasn’t so lucky as to have her ex have a supernatural misfit of a child that she could marry.
But that was enough of those thoughts. Leah had worked very hard to get to the point where thinking about what had happened with Sam didn’t bother her enough to make her shift and she didn’t need a regression. So, she was bitter. It wasn’t as if she hadn’t done her best to move on. However, fears of imprinting always stopped her from getting too attached. Not like she even knew if female wolves could imprint, much like how she didn’t know much of anything about female wolves as she was the only one.
Her eyes shot sharply to Christine.
Well, she had been the only one.
And now it was time to actually pay attention to what Jacob and Christine were saying. He wanted her help, didn’t he? She crossed her arms and watched Christine, rather expressionless- though she really couldn’t help the occasional eye roll.
Quote:

I was the only one who could stop him. But I guess that's not what you're looking for...I don't really have a job experience."
|
Leah’s face fell so quickly when Christine answered Jacob’s first question. Can you say ‘rambler’? The girl needed to grow up and learn what and what not to say in an interview. But that wouldn’t earn any sort of response from Leah save for an additional roll of her eyes.
The answer that followed that required Leah to turn away from Christine and carefully disguise a fit of laughter with coughs. Cheerleading? Really? Oh, it must have been so difficult. Far more difficult than any high stress situations Leah had found herself in, clearly. Fighting vampires and such.
Quote:
"I would again politely tell them I do not know the answer but if they would like I could go back and get one of the managers for them."
|
When she came to the last question, Leah stared at her incredulously. “So, you would go in the back and leave the store completely empty for who knows how long and let this person to just run off with whatever they could grab? Great idea.”

"Easy does it Leah. But, Christine, she does have a point. You should never leave the store front unattended. If you do, forget about grabbing merchandise, the customer could go after the register." Jacob did his best to put on his stern face, though he found it hard to truly be tough on the girl.
"As far as you having no formal job experience I have one last question. Why should I hire you? This is your chance to sell yourself. Convince me why you'd be an asset to our team?" Serenely, Jacob slowly settled himself in a nearby office chair. He knew he was going to hire the girl anyway, but she at least deserved to squirm like he did for his first job interview. 'Besides, if she proves to be a nuisance, I won't waste a second before I sit the Engels down and tell them why I'm letting her go. But - hopefully it won't come to that. Leah seems to... hate her already but I'm sure they'll bond or what ever once they get to know each other. Plus, she seems to like playing with Seth, so I doubt she'll disrupt the flow of the place'.
Just as Jacob were waiting patiently for Christine's answer, he noticed his phone vibrating in his pocket. 'Renesme?!?' Hastily he shoved his paw into his pocket to reveal a blackberry shrouded in a leather case. In the hopes of excusing his rudeness, he figured he ought to acknowledge the two other women in the room before he proceeded to check his phone.
"Oh, excuse me guys, you can continue Christine. I'm listening. I just really need to check this text message - it's sort of an emergency."
Finally, the long awaited contact from Ness had arrived. In the form of a text message of course. It read: Jakey. I'm sorry we kind of fought. I've just been really stressed out. There's another implication with my family. I need you to support me here, but I just can't tell you everything... but it involved Jasper.
Jacob blinked at his phone. God only knew what the hell that meant. Now, all sorts of thoughts were racing through his mind. 'Is he hurt? Is Alice okay? Did he have an implication with the Volturi? Could it be the Syndicate? God, did he om nom a human??? Jacob felt his eyebrow arch incredulously at that last thought. 'Noooooooooo!' Regardless, this had gone on for far too long. Renesmee was brainwashed by that ass hole father of hers. Edward was even keeping Seth in the dark as far as what was going on. Seth had mentioned that he sensed things were uneasy with the 'sparkling ones' the last time he'd been over. If he really wanted info there was was only person he could get it out of. Bella, of course.
Jacob felt a chill rush down his spine at the thought of his mother in law. No, she wasn't the typical nagging mother in law who insisted on sticking her nose into every aspect of their married life. But saying that he and Bella had a bit of a history was, well, an understatement. He'd have to seriously swallow the pride pill if he was going to saddle up to her and play the "hey best friends tell each other everything..." card. Which, quite frankly, was exactly what he'd have to do.

Christine sat there for a moment. "I honestly wouldn't have gone back. Nine times out of ten the customer will say no thank you I'll come in a nother day." She shrugged her shoulders.
Quote:

Christine sat for a moment. "I guess there is no reason for you to hire me at all besides the fact you need someone who is actually somewhat intellegent on cars. However I think you should hire me because I'm dependable, organized, and I willfully do things others probably wont." She sat for a second while he said that. "Well not that stuff but still. I may be a cheerleader but I tend to keep to myself and when a customer comes in I can usually handle things rather well. I'm a people person at heart. It's just that ever since I changed I don't really like physical contact or the drama of anger filled people. Which quite frankly there is a lot." She huffed. 'I don't like Leah it feels like she thinks she knows everything.'
Sighing once more Christine looked up. "And to be a little blunt. I'm not an idiot, I am nothing like normal blond cheerleaders. In fact if anything I'm more of a well I guess the highschool classification is the outcast. I am straight to the point in everything. And I want you to know that rolling eyes and huffing around like a bitter ex you should think about looking on the bright side. At least you have family that cares about you, that you are beautiful, and other things you don't take into consideration." She sighed and looked up at them.
"I don't expect you to hire me. I would probably just disturb everything." Looking from Leah to Jacob she finally spoke again. "And now I am finished with my little speech."

Leah could feel a headache coming on. If Christine was grating on her nerves already, she oculd only imagine how she'd feel weeks from now if Jacob hired the kid. Well, when he hired the girl because, if she could learn how to control that mouth of hers, he was surely going to hire her. The store needed someone besides Jacob or Seth to be around consistently.
Quote:
"I guess there is no reason for you to hire me at all besides the fact you need someone who is actually somewhat intellegent on cars."
|
Did she really think that Jacob was going to let her anywhere near cars anytime soon? He wouldn't take her at her word that she was good with cars. She needed to prove that she wouldn't be destroying his customers' cars. Her headache felt as if it had doubled in strength when Christine continued talking. She just barely contained a groan of annoyance. Little miss cheerleader talking about how she's different, how she's an outcast. It was ridiculous and absolutely the reason Leah was beyond glad that high school was so far behind her. As she had previously, she had been ready to brush off whatever Christine said with a roll of her eyes until the girl spoke directly against her.
Quote:
"And I want you to know that rolling eyes and huffing around like a bitter ex you should think about looking on the bright side. At least you have family that cares about you, that you are beautiful, and other things you don't take into consideration."

Leah was unbelievably still for the first few moments until she visibly bristled and, all but, snarled at Christine, "You need to learn not to talk about things you don't understand, little girl." She took a few steps closer to her. "You might hear Jacob or even Seth say I'm bitter, but I swear if that comes out of your mouth again..." She closed her eyes and took a calming breath before walking back over to Jacob. "Oh, and let me tell you something about my-" She stopped suddenly and turned to glare at Christine. Her hands clenched into fists and she took another deep breath.
This wasn't like her. She didn't let annoying little girls bother her this much. She just could not stand Christine acting like she actually knew anything about her life. As she stood there, she could feel something familiar pulling at her insides. "Think we can speed this all up, Black? I need to go for a drive." No where in particular. She just needed to be speeding down the roads around the Reservation before she said or did something stupid. She leaned close to him and spoke quietly, "Please tell me you're not this desperate for help at this place."
She turned and faced Christine again. "Look. I don't think you're quite what we're looking for. Unfortunately, Jacob owns the place and it's his decision."

Christine sighed. "Yea unfortuantly I'm not what anyone is looking for..." She clinched up her fist and started to breath slower. "I'm sorry it's just...I have to go. Jacob knows where my house is.... one of you can tell me." Fighting off the rage that boiled in her she walked out pulling out the ponytail that held her braid together and walked swiftly out.
The thing is...Christine was still new at this....at the whole werewolf thing. Sadly she didn't know how to deal with being easily angered, the feeling of lonelyness. Sighing she skipped getting into her mustang and just started running. To where....well she didn't know.
'Why do I always seek out death? It's like I want to get hurt...but that's not like me....It's...Maybe it's because I really don't belong anywhere....A white wolf would be spotted easily here...I don't even belong and I was born here. The thoughts just kept going and going making her even more depressed and angry. Finally she ended up on some beach...no one was around though.
Looking up at the sky a tear fell from her cheek. "My parents gave up on me, they don't care anymore...My friends all left me because I changed...I...I don't freaking belong in life." She screamed the last part and picked up a rock and skipped it. Sighing she looked for more skipping rocks with tears flowing down her face. Not only did she screw up her chance at getting a job but a chance at at least one friendship. It just...wasn't right how she ended up treating herself.
"This isn't like me...why...why can't I be the bubbly girl everyone loved like I use to?" She repeated this several times as she skipped the rocks... She was going to be out here a while...a long while. But she knew her parents wouldn't care...they never did... but what she didn't know is that it tore up her dad badly. He loved her... But she wouldn't know...at least not yet..

Jacob pursed his lips in a joking manner and glanced down at the girl like an old woman looking over her spectacles. "Well young lady, I don't really know about how much you need to be intelligent about cars. You have to be intelligent in general, yes. But, more likely, if you can familiarize yourself with car parts and our merchandise that would be great. If someone comes in saying they need new brake pads, then I would expect you to know where they are, what the differences are between the brands, and people like to get recommendations before they decide on a particular product. That's what would be expected of you. You don't have to worry about working on cars right away. As I've said, if you show promise, we will fund professional training courses for you so you can get certified and working on cars. But that's all in the future anyway."

Jacob felt his eyebrow arch dramatically as the teen began to pour open her heart. 'Not quite sure when I signed up for this... but let's see what the final point is. I don't remember calling her an idiot...it wouldn't make sense for me to hire someone whom I openly thought was an idiot.' Jacob would have liked to interject, but she continued on.

Jacob stared blank faced at the two women in the room. Cautiously his eyes shifted from Leah to Christine and back to Leah. This was crossing dangerously into the realm of female drama... rather rapidly. Jacob got used to being Leah's favorite target for harassment, but beneath the surface the two were actually really close. She was the only person in the pack who could ever relate to how he was feeling and what he was going through with Bella. On top of that, when he broke away from Sam and formed his own pack, Leah was the last person he expected to have his back.

|
But Christine, blood related or not, was in no position to call Leah bitter and live. Jacob could feel his hands clinching as he shut his eyes and searched for a way to be the Pepto Bismol to this acid-burn situation. However, the best thing for him to do was not to interject at this most horrid moment. This was girl stuff. The most he would do would say something manly and insensitive and have both females mad at him... which would never be a good idea.

|
See, Jacob would have liked to calm Leah, hire the girl and end this caustic nightmare right before Leah shifted and killed someone... but he didn't get the chance.

Jacob let out an exasperated sigh as the girl rushed out of the door and made herself scarce. "Okay Leah... I know you're going to want to kill me but I promised her father I'd give her a chance. I had no idea she was gonna turn out like some super emotional..." Jacob looked up at Leah with pleading eyes, hoping to garner some sort of sympathy from her. "teenager?" Slowly he moved closer and gingerly held her hand, hoping the affection would quell her anger and keep her from bugging out at him. "She must be super emotional since she just recently started changing. We all were. Please just bare with her. I'm sure that once she learns how things are run around here she'll fit in just fine."
Dealing with an angry Leah was like walking on egg shells. He wanted to fix things with the distressed teen, but he needed to make sure things were clear with Leah first. If he was going to help this kid through becoming a wolf he needed her help. Nobody could ever relate to Leah, and if he didn't have another female's expertise nobody will ever relate to Christine. Jacob looked into Leah's eyes, piercing her with his gaze. He needed her to understand. Anxiously he bit at his lower lip as he rubbed her small doll like hands in his. He waited a moment to read her response, hoping she understood his situation and was willing to comply.
Slowly he felt his brilliant smile sneak onto his face as he delivered what he hoped was good news. "You can take the day off. Just meet me at my house at five-o-clock. I'm sure I can manage re-opening by myself for the rest of the day. I just need to make a few calls and straighten things out with the Engels." Jacob almost turned away before he doubled back and stared back at her. "And Leah, thanks."
-------------------------------------------------
Briskly, Jacob walked over to his desk and grabbed the phone. He felt like some teacher calling up Christine's father. He might have matured from becoming a business mogul, but he still felt ridiculous because, well his body was forever 17, and so was part of his mind. Plus, people never liked hearing unpleasant news about their children. He was going to have to sugar coat this to keep the conversation pleasant.
Jacob: "Hello [Insert first name of Christian's Father]? So I interviewed your girl today."
"Yea, she's a witty one!"
"Well, of course she has promise. mmm hmmm. I gave her the job."
"She couldn't really take Leah though. You know how Leah is. I'm sure she didn't really mean anything. But Christine got pretty upset. I'm worried. I have to mind the shop but you should probably send someone to go look for her."
"Yea, I understand. No Problem. Tell her to come in bright and early two days from now on Tuesday. Yup."
After hanging up the phone, Jacob sent a text to Seth to meet him at his house at the same time he told Leah. Solemnly he stuffed his phone into his pocket and headed out of his office to reopen his shop. The day had already been as easy as swallowing broken glass. The fact that he'd be closing early today was of little consolation to the fact that he'd have to under go a co-op mission to spy on the leeches this evening.
[[So, I have no idea what day it is in our Twilight universe, so I just pretended it’s Sunday. This way Jacob can close up at like 3:00pm with out loosing business. Also, I don’t know the name of Christine’s father. Jacob is supposed to be on a first named basis with him, so I’m assuming he’d call him by his first name. ]]

Leah could not believe what she was seeing and hearing. Incredulous was an understatement, but it was the closest thing to describe what she was feeling right then. The fact that she found the entire situation utterly ridiculous had already calmed her down a little, but that didn’t mean that she was pleased that Christine was now out of the store. Now, Leah was no longer in danger of killing someone if she snapped and shifted right there.
Quote:
"Okay Leah... I know you're going to want to kill me but I promised her father I'd give her a chance. I had no idea she was gonna turn out like some super emotional...teenager?"
|
Her eyes narrowed slightly. She didn’t believe that it could be blamed on being a teenager, perhaps being clinically insane, but…that wasn’t a teenager. And, well, if it was then Leah felt she had quite a lot of apologizing to do to her mother. “I wasn’t like that when I was a teenager,” she mumbled. And when she was a horrible person, the bitter bitch that the pack had come to somewhat despise being around? Well, she had had a much better reason than simply being a teenager.
She had been caught up in those thoughts when she felt something on her hand. What the…? Her eyes darted to the appendage and, when she realized what it was, she glared at Jacob’s hand. What in the world was he doing? A roll of her eyes followed and she looked at him with a quirked brow. God, he was such a sap. She’d noticed this incredibly curious, and often amusing, personality trait of his quite a few times before. It was only getting worse as the years went by. First time, of course, was when she joined his pack. The kid practically cried. At least, in her semi-warped memory he did. Of course, he had been rather…erm, emotional the entire time considering that Bella dropped him for that leech. Now, Leah was not sitting around at Jacob Black fan club meetings (which, she was almost positive, actually existed) and admiring his “sculpted body”- she could barely get through the thought without laughing- but she had to admit that, even ignoring the fact that Edward was a leech, Jacob was far more attractive than him.
Leah’s eyes narrowed. But that was entirely not the matter at hand. Jacob was still caressing her hand and telling her just to bear with Christine. “Fine. I won’t kill the girl. I’ll help you handle her craziness. Whatever. Just at long as you stop molesting my hand.” She rolled her eyes again and brushed away his thanks. “I’ll see you in a couple hours.” Be over to his house by five? Great. It gave her enough time to speed in her car and on foot- well...paw. Hopefully she wouldn’t run into the girl while she was out.

Christine was sitting on the edge of the beach throwing some skipping stones against the water with tears running from her eyes. "Why does everyone think my life is so freaking lovely?" Her phone started to go off. Christine get your ass over here. I have to talk to you about your attitude problem. "Shit." She stood up and started off home.
When she finally got to her home she sighed and banged open the door. "Christine over here now." She fallowed her father's directions. "What?" He Stared at her rather.... angrily. "You need to grow up and quite throwing your fits...especially with your boss." Christine nodded as her fist clenched. "Besides you owe us that. You made me and your mother give up our jobs." Her arms started to shake, biting her lip to where it started to bleed. "Get out of my face. Get ahold of Jacob and find what hours you make." Her voice cracked, "Yes Father." Stomping up to her room she got a few of her clothes and put it in a back pack as she stormed outside.
"Where are you going hunny?" He mother said gently but she just left running to the forest where she changed and started running. 'I'll just run till I'm tired. There is nothing wrong with that.... It's better for everyone.' Sighing she ran faster. Eventually Christine ended up in a town nearby she didn't know... Tired she started running back.

After closing up shop, Jacob hopped in his car to head over to the Forks location and sift through some documents quickly. It was already 4:15 and he was hoping to get home in time to take a 15 minute shower before meeting up with Seth and Leah.
Just when he'd started to hope he'd get the chance to touch base with Christine, he saw a silken white blurr out of the corner of his eye. He was driving on the road from Forks to the Res, so the likelihood of seeing Christine here was low, but then again, his instincts told him that he'd just seen Christine on the run and not a white scarf flying in the wind.
He had to think fast. He followed the road a bit to where he thought he'd seen Christine head towards before he parked his car off the road, behind a tree. At times like this, tinted windows were such a blessing. Hastily he peeled his shirt off and threw his pants on his passenger seat before he slid out of the car. Jacob transformed almost instantaneously with his feet hitting the ground. Hearing her thoughts would surely help him figure out what was going on inside her head, but at this distance all he could pick up were emotions. Confusion, frustration, and, maybe anger?
'Hey girlie where are you?'

Christine made it to a small clearing. It was big enough for two people to enjoy not much bigger. Sighing she sat down and started to think when she heard a voice.
Quote:
'Hey girlie where are you?'
|
'Just leave me alone for a sec ok?
Christine didn't even wait for a reply when she plopped down and started to rant to herself.
'Why did I say all that stupid stuff? Maybe it was because of that girl Leah rolling her eyes. Ugh I just don't understand how someone so beautiful that could get any guy she wants could be so... so... so bitter! She doesn't have a family who blames her for everything. A father who reacently started to drink....And what the hell is up with that?
Does my father not stop and think that maybe it's his own fault for even screwing my mom thus making me? Does he have to blame me? I guess that's why I screwed up that interview... oh well at least I got the job. I wish I could work on the cars though. They do help alot with anger but I doubt he can trust me now.
Sighing Christine stood up transforming into a human but didn't think to put her clothes on. It was just pointless she would change back soon.
Pacing now she started talking aloud.
"What is this feeling I have though. I mean when I saw Jacob my heart literally skipped a beat. Well I mean who could blame me right? I mean he is majorly toned and all but I'm not really into guys at the moment... I'm just trying to figure out myself... Why would he be the only guy to give me that reaction though? I really don't know why I would feel like this..."
Sighing she ended up laying down looking at the moon through the leaves of the canopy. Unzipping her backpack she put on a white sundress and layed back down. "Just in case some one checks on me." She reassured herself. In all honesty she hated clothes... she tried her best to wear as little as she could.
