"There's something in tehre I'm convinced I'll find..Can't quite say what it is just yet." The mage said, nodding.
"Alright..Although..We may want to refrain from holding hands." The mage flushed. "I-I am not ashamed of it at all, but it may seem a bit odd to your father."

((D: Night-night.))
Mycroft nodded, quite curious. "Okay. We'll come back and take a look around, then! It might be a little messy in there--he was never an organized man."
He shook his head, grinning. "Awww, you look cute when you blush like that. It's okay--I hold hands with all of my friends."

"Ah, that's fine, I can easily tidy it I'm sure..As you saw with the book a minute ago, lifting things with my mind is about as easy as it is for me to lift something with my own hands. It does eventually get tiring, but slower than it is to lift everything manually.."
He blushed deeper, his eyes and runic tattoos turning light pink and crimson red respectively. "Aah..I Am..Flattered."
(Yes yes cliche eye changing powers I know, it only happens with SEVERE changes in mood. XD;
Pink would equal love, or an easier way to tell if he's getting embarrassed, but if there were red eyes paired with his red tattoos he'd be angry.)

"Oh, okay then! I just didn't want you to be buried under the mess," Mycroft chuckled, eyes shining. "Shall we get going, then?"
Mycroft seemed fascinated by the color changes, and he swung their hands slightly again.
((Sounds interesting!))

"We-We should." The wizard gave Mycroft a subtle smile. "Off to see your father, then.."
"I-I..Am sorry for overreacting about you holding my hand..M-my culture, rather, the culture my caretaker raised me with, thinks of holding hands as a very intimate thing..B-But it is fine, if it is not the same in yours..Ah, i just thought of something, if I may stall us for a moment again..Does the archmage's room have a telescope, or alternatively, is there an observatory?"

"There's an observatory," Mycroft noted. "And you should've told me thaaaaat. I wouldn't have been so quick to grab your hand, then, if I knew it was an intimate thing to you...I'll take you to the observatory later, if you'd like." Despite his apparent apology about taking his hand without asking, Mycroft didn't let it go.

"Perhaps tonight? It's most beautiful at night..Ah..I-it's fine! There's no need to be apologising, you did nothing wrong." The mage said, waiting for Mycroft to start walking again. "..We should really get going now."

"True, nighttime skies are really gorgeous," Mycroft purred, tilting his head. "We should indeed get going! This way!"
He walked with his new friend down the halls, still holding his hand. "Let's talk about something while we walk there."

The elven man followed closely. "It is also the best time for prayer to the gods of magic..They can hear and see their faithful subjects the clearest on a cloudless night..Although you may only know my gods from history books..Some would call me a fool to worship gods of a dead civilization.. I call them fools for thinking that the gods died with their people..My people." He said, saying the last short sentence in a low whisper.

Mycroft held his hand, listening to his rambling curiously. He didn't want to comment, for he had a lack of knowledge on the subject.
After a moment, they reached the throne room. He pranced up to his father's throne. "I give the okay! I like him," he commented brightly, squeezing his hand in a friendly manner.
His father sighed. "Forgive my son and his casual nature..."

The wizard smiled at the king, keeping himself in a low bow. "It is fine..If that is how he chooses to let his voice be heard, I will not judge.I will not betray your trust in me, your majesty..And I will not judge Prince Mycroft for his casual nature. It is relaxing to have someone so carefree to talk to.Someone to listen to my worries, other than my gods.."

The king seemed quite relieved. He knew Mycroft's manner of speaking and lack of interest in his nobility were what spawned a rift between him and the previous Archmage...he hoped this one would be different.
"All right. It is settled, then...you are the new Archmage. For the next week, you will not have to do any sort of work--it's time for you to settle in and get used to the area."
Mycroft looked happy. He didn't have many friends that were considered on or very near his rung on the social ladder, so he was excited.

"Thank you, your highness..May I ask of a small favor?I cannot retrieve my belongings from my house on my own, could you have a few servants get them for me?My last home is a bit ahrd to find, but I can aid them with a guide.." He said, making a small blue ball of light appear in his free hand, his tattoos glowing brightly as he did so and his now blue eyes closing as if he was sleeping.
The floating orb of light spoke. "I can speak and see through this orb, but I have no control over my body when I am in it..I have just practically severed my soul from my body. With this I could lead the servants to my home.."
The orb floated up and pushed itself into the Archmage's chest, and the elven male took a deep breath and re-opened his eyes. "That is my only request."

"I can do that." The king glanced at Mycroft. "Mycroft. You know our servants much better than I do. Why don't you go with your new friend and assemble a team of them?"
Mycroft jumped up, excited. Normally, his father hated to see him talking to their servants instead of other nobles. Being given the chance to go talk to them on order was just too good to pass up. "Okay. I'll do that!" He tugged on the mage's arm, tilting his head. "How much stuff do you own?" He wanted to know how many he needed to send.

(Just as a note for further reactions, Mr. Wizzy's magic is supposed to be exclusive to his race, which he is one of the last of.JUST SAYIN', SOUL SEVERING'S KIND OF A HARD THING TO DO WITHOUT MAGICAL RUNES CARVED INTO YOUR BODY
Also veeery dangerous for obvious reasons.>w> )
"The Archmage gave the king one final deep bow and walked with Mycroft. "Archmage..Well, it's a better name than I've had. 'Wizard' or 'Mage'..I don't have a lot that I am attached to..My clothing, my books, my staves..And do you think the king would mind..If I kept a cat?" He lightly blushed again. "I don't know where else I'd put him, I don't have any friends to give him to..He's very tame."

"So...a group of three or four would work?" Mycroft asked, brightly. "I can do that. My father hates animals, but it doesn't matter, as long as you keep the cat away from him. I love animals. I own fish, but that's about it." He held his friend's hand, walking off to find the servants' quarters.

"Ah..Actually, there are two cats. They don't usually leave unless I go out with them anyway..I'm sure they'll be fine. One good thing is if the castle ever has a problem with mice your father knows where to turn to handle it.."
"I think four would do well..I didn't list everything but there is not much more than that..I need you to do something else for me, Myca..I need you to keep watch of my body..Although I am protected from most incidents involving spells like this, if anything disrupts my body I could very well not be able to return to it..Obviously, that needs to be avoided." He lightly chuckled.

"Aww, don't do that! I like mice. I capture them safely and let them go outside." Mycroft seemed like he didn't know or didn't care that wild mice usually carried a lot of diseases.
"Okay. Hey, you can go lay down in my room--I need to read anyway. You'll be safe in there," he assured him, brightly.

"These cats are known to pick up mice by the scruff of their neck like a mother would win their mouth and carry them safely outside..They are not exactly normal." he laughed.
"That will work.And..Don't be alarmed if I stop breathing. That just means I'm out of a certain distance from my body.I won't die as long as I stay within a reasonable distance and am not out of my body for a long while..As long as I return within five hours I won't be harmed. It's a two hour trip on foot to get both to and from there, so one hour each way..If you know the shortcuts through the forest like I do..Let's go assemble the team now, so this can be done with. It's not a pleasant spell to experience, but at least I have these to protect me.." He said, freeing his hand from Myca's grasp for a moment to take off his gloves, revealing the tattoos on the backs of his hands and his arms. they went in a stripe vertically up to his shoulders, ending in a triangular point between the knuckles on his middle and ring fingers. "Half of these are here for my protection, to ward off evil magic."

"Oh, that's good..." Mycroft breathed a big sigh of relief. "I feel much better, now!"
He studied his hands, curiously. "Ooooohhhhh. Cool! Okay, okay...this way!" He led them down a few more hallways and into a very plain hallway. "Here. Um..." He knocked on one of the doors and stuck his head in when it opened, politely asking for four physically toned servants to come forth. He picked four easily from the seven that came to the door and ushered them out. "Here we are! They should do!" He gave them all a group hug.
It was not exactly very princely behavior to hug your servants...

"Someday I can teach you what they all mean, when your magical abilities heighten.." He commented, looking over his own tattoos as a specific combination of them began to glow.
"They seem very capable..I shall place my body in the Prince's room, then I will come back to guide you with my soul.If you will follow me and our Prince, we can begin." The Archmage said, subtly smiling at the four men.

"I guess I'd better get started studying, then. Because I'm curious." Mycroft's voice was a mix of a smile and pure, watery laughter. He'd never been serious about studying his magic beforehand because of how the old Archmage was, but now he seemed excited.
Surprisingly, the servants acted just as casually with Mycroft as he did with them. Mycroft reached out for the Archmage's hand again. "Let's go!"

"Once I get settled I can start teaching you." The archmage smiled softly. He took the prince's hand again, and some more of the runes began to glow, this time a different color than the rest, red again like they al were when he was embarrassed just earlier.

"I would love that!" Mycroft exclaimed, eyes shining eagerly. He still had a slightly childlike face, and somewhat rounded cheeks. It gave him the visage of a cherubic blonde angel.
He held his hand contently and led him and the servants back around the castle to the royal rooms. The poor servants, for fear of reprimanding from the king, wouldn't even enter the hallway--it was something Mycroft was sad about. Nonetheless, he led the Archmage into his room.
Three words that come to mind...blue...seaside...paradise.
Everything in his room was some shade of blue except for the wood of his furniture. His bed was big and poofy, with a blue silken blanket. There was a violin case on his dresser.

"I can tell what your favorite color is.." The archmage said when he entered the prince's room."I myself prefer dark blue, like the night sky..So, I'll just lay myself here, if you don't mind.." he said, laying down on the bed. He took a deep breath, all of his tattoos began to glow and that fire-like blue orb of light appeared again as his body fell into a peaceful sleep. "Make sure I do not move from that spot.It is surprising how easy it is to make it so I cannot return..I will return in a couple of hours.Goodbye, Myca." The orb said, an eye-like design in the 'flames' looking up at Myca as it flew in a circle around the younger male, before going straight through the door and a few walls to get to the four servants. "Follow me closely, the forest my previous home resides in is enchanted to lead travelers astray into its seemingly endless depths..If you lose sight of me I cannot say if I will be able to find you again." The echoing voice of the wizard spoke from the orb of flame, which then floated around the four men and towards the palace exit.
