"It is not often I see humans out here. If I had not helped you, you would have met the same fate your traveling companions are probably meeting right now." The only thing that had been keeping the predators and scavengers away from the stash of dead bodies had been Lyoko's voice and movements. The animals were wary of humans and wouldn't approach live ones...unless they saw a prominent weakness...which Lyoko would have started displaying sooner or later due to his injuries.

Lyoko grimaced at the thought, shuddering slightly as well. "Thank you then...It's...It's not like I'm upset or annoyed you helped but...Why did you bother? I'm just one useless human with a load of broken...Everything" He laughed softly, moving one arm slightly to motion to himself. "It's not like I'm any use for anything...Besides, you're a lion and a human, you could probably do practically anything around here." He added quietly.

Miration studied him for a moment, and then shrugged. "I suppose I was bored. There is not much to do around here," he commented, idly. "Why did the plane crash, anyway? And why were you on it, out of curiosity?"

He nodded slightly, mumbling under his breath. "Right...Bored...Great reason..." Glancing back to Miration, Lyoko shrugged a little. "I don't know, last thing I remember was the movie I was watching being interrupted to tell us all to get the gas masks on, seatbelts strapped and duck our heads down...I remember one guy next to me saying we better pray we don't die or something, then the plane suddenly jerked and my head slammed into the seat in front of me I think. After that, all black till I woke up" Pausing, Lyoko grimaced slightly. "Stupid friends saying I needed a break and made me take a gap year. Although, I did always want to see Africa" He mumbled.

"Africa is a beautiful continent. Especially Congo," Miration agreed, absently. Then, he stretched. "That is why I will never set foot on a plane in my life. I don't like heights, for one thing...but the possibility of a major accident is just too much."

Chukling faintly he closed his eyes, resting his head back slightly on the cave wall. "That's why I was dragged onto the thing. My opinion is that if a person wasn't born with wings they weren't born to fly" He answered, yawning slightly as he spoke.

"Not unless the technology is perfect. If it was 100% safe, then it would be a different story," Miration hummed, closing his eyes. "I suggest you get some rest, unless you are hungry or thirsty. I will get a fire going for you..." He stood up.

Lyoko didn't look quite as convinced as Miration on that comment. Technology would never be perfect, therefore would never bee 100% safe. Glancing at the man, Lyoko nodded slightly, sliding carefully down to curl up on the ground. "You're...Very kind...For a strange lion-man..." He murmured.

Looking amused, Miration headed out into the brush for some fire-making materials. He didn't wander far--he kept an eye on Lyoko. He didn't want him to get picked off after all of his hard work.

Smiling slightly back to Miration, he closed his eyes again. It was getting harder and harder to ignore sleep. Well, if Miration hadn't killed him by now, surely he wouldn't kill him any time soon. Sighing softly Lyoko curled into a tighter ball and slowly drifted off to sleep.

While Lyoko slept, Miration started up a fire for him. It grew cool at night, so it was best to have a fire nearby. He then stepped out and returned a few hours later with a dead antelope, which he took to the back of the cave. He spent time looking around for a sharp rock, and he washed it outside in the watering hole. He used it to skin the animal--this took a while. It would be good food--Miration ate a lot, but he was sure humans didn't eat as much as he did. Especially when he was in lion form. The food wouldn't be wasted.

After a while the young man finally began to stir. It was mostly due to the warmth of the fire and the strange shuffling sounds of someone entering and leaving that he woke up. Sitting, he grimaced, the pain certainly hadn't lessened since he'd slept. Glancing around Lyoko looked worried for a moment. "Mira?" He called softly, looking for the strange lion-man. After a couple of seconds though he spotted the person who had gone to great length to look after him. Lyoko couldn't quite see what it was Miration was doing, although he caught sight of a sharp rock in one hand. It sent a light shiver down his spine that he chose to ignore. Just what had the lion-man been doing while Lyoko slept?

"I am over here," Miration murmured, unnecessarily. He finished skinning the antelope as he spoke. "There is food here, if you want it. You can use the fire to cook it." He held up the antelope--a young adult--with one hand.

Turning a little more, Lyoko smiled to Miration, slowly and unsteadily moving over to sit beside him. When he caught sight of the skinned antelope though, his face turned a little pale. "Um...I'm not that hungry at the moment, maybe later" he smiled weakly.

"In case you have not noticed, this is not a household kitchen. There is no way to store this for later. You either eat it now or you don't eat anything for the next few hours, or for the rest of the day." Miration's tone was dry.

Blushing he glanced quickly away, looking guilty at his words. "Sorry, I'll uh...I'll take the food now then" He murmured. Yawning softly, Lyoko turned back to gaze at the meat curiously. "Would you mind...Telling me how to cook it? I don't mind doing it, I'm just...Not sure how" He rubbed the side of his head, looking embarrassed at the fact he wasn't too good at cooking.

Miration, holding the antelope in the air, stood up and carried it over to their fire before sitting down again. He took the sharp stone, which he decided to keep for now, out of his pocket and held it out to Lyoko. "Cut a piece that is to your liking off of it. It is more edible and tasty if you take pieces that are the farthest away from the hooves, head, and tail as possible. I'll go fetch a stick...you can cook it on there..."

He set the antelope down next to Lyoko and then headed outside, searching for a long, sturdy branch or stick he could use to cook the meat on.
