"Have you had an ultrasound? They would be able to know by now." Ashton said. Looking up at her calmly. Ignoring the first part. He did not want to upset her any further. So bringing up the baby itself seem to lightly Steven up quite a bit.

"No.Lets just say my dad is over protective and doesn't want the guy who knocked me up to find out so i can't go alone and my dad and other brothers are usually at work,my step mother is also at work though i hate her so i wouldn't let her take me."She said with a chuckle."I haven't really got a chance to go to an ultrasound.Im usually sick or at school or busy with other things."

With that, Ashton stood up. Gathering all the papers and shoving them inside of his bag. "Come on." He said, Taking her hand and leading her back into the building. "I am taking you to the hospital. You have to go." He said simply. Passing the principal and coming up with a boogas lie to get them out without getting in trouble. He pulled his car keys out, walking over to the passenger side and opening the door for her.

Steven was unsure why he was taking her.Steven got into the passanger side with her bag in her lap.Why is he doing this for me?Steven asked herself."Are you sure its alright to make up some lie just to take me to the hospital for an ultrasound?"Steven asked Ashton nervously.

Ashton heard her question as he got into the car. Putting the keys into the ignition and turning it on. "Of coarse not. But it worked." He said truthfully, backing up out of the parking space and leaving the parking lot. Heading for the hospital. "You need to go. No excuses." Ashton said to her.

Steven sighed."Alright i wont argue with you."Steven said with a smile."Do you do this kind of thing often?"Steven asked with a smirk.Steven thought it was quite fun going someplace durring school.She somehow felt free.Maybe it was because her brother who had got her pregnant was at school.Maybe she felt freed from his grasp?

"I bring my mother a lot. Or brought. Its confusing." Ashton said. Luckily they had a hospital right in their town. it was not the best, but it was pretty good. He took a few turns, and was right down the street from it. Ashton stopped at a red light. "My mom recently lost her child again, so I just wouldn't want the same to happen to anyone else. Including you." The blond boy watched the light, pulling forward as it turned green. Though suddenly a pick up truck ran the light to their left. Smashing into the car.

"Oh im sorry."Steven said hoping his mother was alright."My sister she and her boyfriend lost a child about a year and a half ago.So i've tried to help them as best as i can.But they seem happy even though they lost their child.Evan is very positive as is her boyfriend..well now their married but i haven't seen my sister in a two years...Woops sorry im just rambling."Steven said with a chuckle.

When the truck smashed into the car,Steven had hit her head a bit hard on the window making her go unconcious.Though Steven was bleeding from her head a bit.

Ashton found himself being almost thrown towards Steven, but them being pulled back towards the truck that had hit them, hitting his head again the crumbled side and the air bag. He was awake long enough to look over at Steven, seeing her out cold before slipping into the darkness himself. Ashton woke up just a bit later. Just head, and the entire left side of his body hurt. When he got the chance to look he saw he was just covered in bandages. Though could still move. Ashton listened to the doctor while he told him about his injuries. Then went on to tell him about his girlfriend in the car. Although Ashton was still too far out of it to correct him. After a few more times blinking, he sat up. The athlete inside of him just wanted to move. Even against the pain.

The doctor decided to bring him down the hall to where Steven was. Or at least where she was still sleeping.

While Steven was in her room to where she was resting,she had a bandage around her head and on her wrists.Steven looked like she was in bad shape.The nurses though were scared if Steven might loose the baby because of this.Steven was in the critical care unite.She had to have an oxygen mask over her nose and mouth because she was having a hard time breathing since she was unconcious.

While Steven was unconcious she felt like she was in her own mind talking to herself.Where am i?my body hurts....

Ashton walked in. Taking a quick seat on the chair in the room. He looked at her body. Seeing how much trouble it seemed in. Something hit him suddenly and he slid a bit closer. Resting a hand on her stomach. Feeling charmed into feeling a kick of some sort. He glanced up to her face. Steven seemed so peaceful...

Even though Steven was asleep,Steven felt Ashton touch her stomache.Her hand moved a little bit though not much which meant she wasn't in a coma.

One of the doctors gently knocked on the door hoping he didn't or wouldn't be interupting anything.The doctor entered the room looking at Steven and then at Ashton."How is she doing?"He asked knowing the answer already.

As he heard the knock, Ashton right away moved back onto the seat. Knowing he should not have been doing that. It was not his child after all. If he hadn't asked so much like a hero, Steven would have been fine in the first place. Though it was good to know she was just sleeping. Well, for the most part. "She seems to be alright." Ashton said to him.

The doctor nodded."We might have to run some tests in case she will loose the baby or not.Though if you are not the father of her baby we can check to see who the father is."The doctor explained to Ashton as he looked at her monitor and wrote down what it said on her chart.The doctor though hoped she wouldn't loose the baby.It would be a very sad thing to witness when she does wake up and find out if she did loose her child.

Ashton listened and nodded. "It is not really my choice, but you should run the tests. As for the father, Steven will tell me if she wants to. It is her choice." He said. A little sternly, but he felt it was rude for the doctor to suggest and completely guess. What if he were the father after all? Then what would that mean. Ashton stopped himself from over thinking it. He knew the tests were a good idea. Steven spoke about the baby like it were apart of her life already, and she did seem to love the child. Even though she knew nothing really about him... or her.

"Very well."The doctor said and ordered his nurses to run the chests and make sure the baby is alright.About 3 hours later or so,the doctor was done with the tests.He walked over toward Ashton with good news."It looks like the baby is perfectly fine and healthy though mainly steven needs to rest.If you know her parents you should probably give them a call."He said just before him and the nurses left.Though when Ashton didn't look at her she had opened her eyes finally awakening."What...happened?"

Ashton nodded as the doctor walked out. Though she did not have her home number, and he certainly was not going to go digging threw her bag. One thing he knew about girls, then hated having their things messed with. He saw her start to wake up, and moved a bit closer so she would not have to strain herself trying to see him. "We got into a car accident. A truck ran the red light. Oh and your baby if perfectly fine. You are having a little girl they said."

When Ashton told her they were in an accident she kind of had a hard time believing how fast everything was happening.Though As Ashton told her about she was having a baby girl it made her smile."My head hurts."Steven said placing her hand onto her head."Are you alright?Your not badly hurt are you?"She asked as she kept one hand on her head and the other onto her stomache where the baby was."Will i have to stay here over night?"

Ashton was a bit surprised it took her a few seconds to have a reaction about the baby girl, but he dismissed it right away. Especially when she placed her hand on her stomach. "Your heads hurts because you are thinking too much." He said with a small smile. "I am alright, but I have to stay the night also. So don't worry. They just want to make sure you are alright. Besides, we don't really have a ride home. The Police officer said my car is totaled. Which is good. I get a brand new car." Ashton said to her. Trying to lighten the mood a bit. "Maybe I could get a mini coop with a truck horn on it."

Steven just listened to Ashton and smiled."Shouldn't we call our parents about this."Steven asked looking up at Ashton with a cute yet confuzed look upon her face.Steven was glad that the baby was okay along with Ashton being ok but,staying over night is something Steven's step mother wouldn't let happen since her step mother pretty much uses steven in every possible way to get her father to like or even trust her.

"That is up to you. I don't have thier number." Ashton said to her. Reaching down to touch his pocket, though his phone was not there. It was then he remembered it was in the car... he sighed a bit. "I am sure the doctors already have. They are supposed to when kids like us come in. Right?" Ashton leaned back a bit in the chair. Looking out the window next to Steven. It was such a nice day to something like that to happen.

"I doubt my step mother would unstand anyway.Whenever my dad isn't home im stuck with her."Steven said as she looked at out the window only looking Ashton out of the corner of her eye.
She kept both her hands onto her stomache thinking.i hope nothing else goes wrong with this day. Steven thought in her head as she tried sitting up holding her head as she did so since it felt quite tender.Steven didn't want to stay overnight.she hated hospitals.
